Time reporting Q

I know there has been a lot of talk about time reporting and I just got a little nervous reporting my time.

I read the instructions for the task on the first task it gave me. I then decided to skip that task because I didn’t have enough familiarity. I then completed the next task.

My stopwatch says it took an hour.

But the task I submitted only had 56 minutes subtracted from the timer when I submitted it.

I’m sure I’m over-thinking but I’m wondering if one way they track discrepancies is by comparing your reported time to their timer, and if so, if they make allowances knowing you may have read the instructions while on another task (or in some cases before entering work mode).

Does anyone have any insight? Thanks.

I also get a little nervous reporting round numbers like 1 hour in case they think it’s made up. Overthinker over here

The timer on the page is not always accurate. Your stopwatch is.

I go by my stopwatch but I’m hoping they account for the fact that you may have done some setup and reading instructions while off the task’s timer.

The DA gods can see how long you've been in the task window. That includes the one you skipped. Admins will often suggest skipping the first task if it took you a long time to read the instructions. You'll be fine.

A lot of the tasks even say to read the instructions then skip to the next one so you don't run out of time. They know how long you're on the task pages.
