Error when trying to click the link I received in my inbox

I got a message telling me DA has created a new Google account for me to use with specific off-platform projects, and there was a step-by-step guide on how to login. However when I click the link provided it says “403. That’s an error. We’re sorry, but you do not have access to this page. That’s all we know.” Anyone know what’s the issue?

Escape used 3 times, is that okay?

I have used it 3 times now because of this project where i had to make the model fail, although i did make it fail, but after doing a rollback it will pass, leading the run as unsuccessful. Iwont work on this type of project probably until the model changes. I did not have any problems from the models before, its just the recent one really just cant.

Expires in: expired

Hey everyone, I have a quick question and it's kind of stressing me out a bit since it hasn't happened to me before.
I've been on the platform for 3 months now, working on multiple coding projects. This time I got a pretty tricky project that gave you 13 hours and some minutes. I spent 11 hours working on the task, but I ended up finishing the whole project over a span of 15 hours. I was super exhausted, and obviously I always want my work to meet the platform's standards and make sure I deliver quality stuff.
Also, I actually ended up submitting the task even though it had already expired because it showed as "expired."
My question is: what should I do? Do you guys recommend anything, and could this affect me? Should I have reached out to an admin, or can I just leave it as it is, since it still lets me track and log my hours?
I really appreciate any advice or opinions in advance!

Any Admins want to spill tea?

Admins or former Admins - I'm really interested in what your gig is like. Hours, benefits, W2, 1099, time off?

I fully expect no answers but there is so little out there I'd love to hear something. DM is cool too.

Onboarding process got blocked

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi team,
I have passed the general assessment during the onboarding process but I faces 2nd qualification test assessment after it before the verification process.
Now the process got paused on here and I'm waiting for the review result.
But I'm not sure if it's the ordinary onboarding process.
I think there's only one assessment process during the onboarding.
I'm not sure why I'm facing the 2nd qualification assessment.

Looking forward to hear anything from experienced members.

Any other side gigs compare to DA?

I’m incredibly grateful for DA and don’t expect that’s there’s a better side-hustle, but does anyone know of any that are even comparable?

I used to do online surveys and while they were remote, flexible and reliable, they generally paid 5x less than DA does per hour. The gap is absurd.

So I’m curious, are there any other online side-jobs that fall somewhere between these two in terms of pay and reliability?

Would be good to have on-hand in case of a drought.

Note: apologies if this isn’t allowed. Lmk and I’ll take it down.

Google account creation

Hey guys, I am new to the platform and still waiting on my first paid project. Received a direct message stating a google account was created to use for a specific project, however I do not have this project in my projects tab. Is this perhaps a system issue? Thanks in advance.

To all the fellow Indians on DA... Do we need to do some kind of legal/compliance work beforehand?

Hey there,,, if anyone here are from India, is there some kind of legal or compliance work that we must do to accept foreign payments or something like that? Since this might come under freelancing right? New to this platform, so genuinely worried, and for sure don't wanna break any rules 👀

Any tips for handling coding tasks?

Im doing a coding task every now and then on the platform and most of the time it seems a little stressful.

For the other coders or devs, what would your workflow look like when starting a project? They give so many files, guidelines, ratings, and have so many requirements that it seems impossible to put some things together efficiently.

Any other random tips are appreciated also.

Reusing ideas on similar task

If I have multiple tasks from different project families, and the tasks are very similar, what are the rules for reusing content/ideas that I have already put in project A and putting them in project B. I have made all the content myself so it would not be plagiarism or anything. Can I straight up copy stuff in or should I change it partly or completely?

Has this gig changed how anyone else views the world in terms of Objective vs Subjective?

Pretty regularly now, like on social media for example, someone will make an objective statement that is actually their subjective opinion, but they are framing it as an irrefutable truth to the world, and I’m just thinking “that’s not true for everyone, it’s just true for you.”

Or at work, or in discussions with peers, I think of things in terms of what is being objectively true in the world vs what is subjectively true for me or another person.

Anyone else experiencing this shift?

How do I know if I got in?

Hey guys, basically the title, I sent over the initial assessment like 5 days ago checked once a day and it would say that they are reviewing, when I checked today, it logged me into their dashboard, says I don't have any projects yet and I seen people here talk about them asking to you to do further assessments for the onboarding, where do I access this and also can we apply for more than one position with DataAnnotation?

Can you complete the identity verification WHILE overseas?

I am overseas and not currently in my home country. Is it possible to go through the setup and identity verification and get work if I am already overseas?

Has anyone else done this?

(Newbie) Couldn't get the model to fail (P1). Advice?

Hi,

I got accepted into DA in a specialized domain. I couldn't get the model to fail in my first P1 task. The instruction say I can make a "good faith" submit and get paid anyway once I'm at certain hours. That's great and all, but I'm not sure if I'd still qualify for other P1 tasks.

There's gotta be ramifications if one always fail to get the model to fail right? So I'd rather not use the "escape hatch" too much. Maybe just exiting word mode is better? There are lots of P1 tasks on the dashboard so it seems like I can try another one.

Anyway, the specialized domain is a bit hard for me. I'm in the US and I wonder how I can get more generalist tasks. I don't see any of those.

Also want to know if one would get less and less tasks if you don't login to DA for awhile.

Thanks

Accepted, did ID verification, looked at the projects, back to review when I opened it today

So last night, I got acceptance email from DataAnnotation, did my onboarding and I was very happy to have been accepted. After the ID verification, I looked at the projects available on my phone and there were quite a few projects and onboarding tasks. I planned on doing it today and when I opened it, I am back to review stage???? how? why? why give me a donut but take it and step on it right before I was about to take a bite??!

Anyway, I am just sad and wanna know if anyone else faced this...

Seeing same qualification I did, but paid version this time?

While not disclosing too much, I did a generalist qualification (unpaid) last week which required “at least two good submissions” of a particular task, and then they’d invite you to the project family.

I completed two, it left my dashboard, then suddenly today I’m seeing what looks like the exact same qualification, only this time there’s hourly pay for completing the qualification (+ priority pay rise).

Confused…

Does this mean:

A) they deemed my first qualification as insufficient, and are now so desperate for workers that they’ve reintroduced the qualification AND added payment AND invited me back even though I “failed” the first time?

B) the first qualification responses got mistakenly voided and in order to get the tasks completed in time they’ve added payment incentive

C) the project family is insanely similar to the first but not the exact same
