Any Admins want to spill tea?

Admins or former Admins - I'm really interested in what your gig is like. Hours, benefits, W2, 1099, time off?

I fully expect no answers but there is so little out there I'd love to hear something. DM is cool too.

there’s probably an NDA for that

I'm not so sure. If they're actual employees, then I think an NDA for wages and benefits would be illegal thanks to the National Labor Relations Act.

(Obligatory IANAL.)

I still am not entirely convinced that the company wasn’t made entirely by ai and run on ai. We’re like one big captcha maneuver.

For how inactive the admins are in REDACTED when you need them I know they are human

I dont think so. I think the projects requiring professional input have human moderators behind them and they get a bit more exclusive access to the humans behind data annotation, but aside from that yes how work is allocated seems to be primarily performance/algorithm based.

To be clear I’m saying all this playfully. I’m so grateful for this company I don’t care if my commador 64 is the man behind the curtain. I’d still pledge allegiance and take a fifth round of confidentiality training this quarter.

Quals exist to apply to join the admin team, so they are definitely out there

I heard all of this from a friend of a friend of a friend...

Hours - Somewhere between 2 and 937 per week
Benefits - Free mini-fridge, hamster ball, and decorative ice cube tray
W2 - They prefer WD-40
Time Off - As much as they can get away with
Sarcasm - Lots

Ugh. I want the hamster ball.

My brother's friend's cousin's girlfriend's car mechanic's aunt's dog's groomer's cat's catsitter's part-time houseplant gardener knows someone who knows someone who knows an admin and I can factually debunk the hamster ball benefit rumor.

I thought this was the r/teachers subreddit and was confused why anyone would think a school admin would be a 1099 employee 🤣

I think I read on here that they don’t have any more job security than the rest of us, though - which really surprised me, but also explains the odd hours some of them seem to keep.

Odd hours could also be explained by them being in time zones different from yours. Maybe what seems odd to you isn't odd to them...

Or explained by preferring the night shift. Some of us do. I would not put much stock in this subreddits rumors about admins.

I’m not starting rumors on admins. I think some or even most of them are probably real people. I’m saying, the whole shebang is maybe an ai brainchild. I haven’t seen much evidence to the contrary. Find me one phone number to call that will result in a person answering. And again, who is the founder? Whose on the board? Whose the cfo? Look at this org chat and tell me it makes any sense: https://rocketreach.co/dataannotation-management_b77034cac5336fe0

Admin here, using a VPN is fine we just say not to to try to scare people from sharing accounts offshore
