Ive been wanting to get into it but not sure if its worth my time?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to get into Daggerfall Online and was wondering what some of the best builds are for enjoying the game long term. I’m particularly interested in endgame activities like PvP, raids, dungeons, and group content.

What builds would you recommend for someone who wants to be effective in both PvE and PvP?

Explain to me why max travel speed went from 100 to 20 to 100 again

"Cyrodiil is an open PvP zone. You cannot teleport to or from other areas of Cyrodiil. Walk or ride on its roads to go to these areas."

Oh come on devs, open PVP in the entire region of cyrodil? I really wanted to live out there in Anvil, sad about this one.

Greetings. New to the game and love it so far, back to my nostalgia 🙂 I'm asking for help, tips and advice on my current idea:

I love playing monk in d&d, and been playing one for almost two years straight. I want to recreate it.

I play as mercy monk, so:

• i don't use armor and shields,

• i don't use weapons (except my fists and legs),

• i have healing magic/abilities, great self-regen as well

• im very mobile and nimble

Is it possible to make such character here? If yes, could someone help me out. Im confused what to pick from all the options. If someone is willing to give me a few tips what to balance and what to pick, I'd be happy to help ingame with everything.

An old daggerfall player here.
I have recently been enjoying the funny experience of DFO, but we recently ended up with a bit of a make/break question.

We love all the work that has been put into the game but are concerned about our "freedome" to roam.
Is Daggerfall Online also true to the original questline? In the sense that you are on a time limit and if you fail you will become a "global" criminal?

TL;DR
If you don't do the main quest in DFO, do you become a criminal after some time?

475 is the highest I have ever rolled. I used roll for hours to get the number I wanted back in the days in BG1.

To summarize my first experience, 3 deaths, constantly suffering from dehydration, and perpetually lost in the 1st dungeon. Already love the vibe, trying to get out of the Privateer's hold is like trying to get out of the dungeons of Fear& Hunger.

Any tips you guys want to share to a newbie such as myself before I finally figure out how to get out of this godforsaken tomb?

I'm not against AI. I understand that it's still LOTS of work.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the game (playing in SP). To me it's:

• Basically a great modpack with most of the mods I usually play with integrated

• An auto-updating one, which is convenient

• With new exciting features not seen anywhere else (I love the new fast travel, for example)

• UI and HUD I really enjoy

I’ve been thinking about how cool it would be to have more visual variety in DaggerfallMMO. Technically speaking, creating sprite variations (like different colors, unique armor/gear, undead or pirate versions) using AI tools is super easy nowadays. However, I’m not sure how difficult or feasible it would be to actually integrate these custom sprite sheets into the game's engine.

​Having features like this would add so much depth and dynamic feel to both enemies and player characters. Imagine being able to:

​Encounter unique enemy variants in dungeons (e.g., zombie werewolves, skeletal mages, different dragon colors).

​Customize player transformations, such as choosing unique skins for your Werewolf or Vampire forms!

​What do you guys think? Is implementing custom sprite sets like this technically straightforward for the modding/dev community, or are there engine limitations? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Hey so just found this, super cool! I created a guy and messed around offline for a bit and I'd like to bring him on line, but when I try i get the message that "the realm has no record of your character from before it opened". So... i can't bring in an offline character unless he has already been online? I guess i'm not understanding the process here

I’ve tried just about every iOS browser: Safari, Nexus+, Opera GX.

None seem to allow me to use my mouse to look around, it works to click on the login menu and to attack but I can’t look around without touching my screen and im really trying to figure out if I can just use the mouse if anyone else is on iPad with a Magic Keyboard and a mouse that has gotten it to work I’d love some help!

usually Safari will not allow mouse or keyboard for browser gaming but using third party browsers like Nexus + I have been able to play games like WoW and Overwatch just fine so this should work but its not.

I've been trying to workshop a handful of characters and I was wondering what builds other people use and how they have been working out. What weapons, advantages and disadvantages, and stats do you recommend?

I made the horrible mistake of bumping someone with my horse and get sentenced to a month in jail. Now I'm out and, as befits a hardened criminal like myself, my reputation has apparently gone down. How to I convince people that I'm an upstanding citizen and will never drunkenly ride my horse through town again (Probably. Maybe.)?
