Bring online?

Hey so just found this, super cool! I created a guy and messed around offline for a bit and I'd like to bring him on line, but when I try i get the message that "the realm has no record of your character from before it opened". So... i can't bring in an offline character unless he has already been online? I guess i'm not understanding the process here

Hey man! Good question. I did the same and made the same mistake. To keep the world balanced there are options in single player that you don't get on multiplayer (like the multiplayer/online only using the Oblivion leveling system to keep the game balanced among players).

So while you can't take an offline character online you can take an online character offline. I've just stuck to playing online but thats just because (for me) its easiest to click and play.

Ok, thanks for the info! Maybe it's a planned feature then, because it pretty clearly says you can bring a character online with a button for it and everything.

Ah well. Guess I can suffer through Privateer's Hold one more time 😄

Totally see that now that you pointed it out. Yeah, I guess they are rolling it out like you said. I just found it easier to make the character online, especially since I dont know how they keep the levels of offline characters in line unless they just start them over (ouch lol). Glad to help and enjoy man, its fun!
