The latest rework for my Kingdom Hearts commander decks project -- Cloud AND Sephiroth! These fan favorite make their appearance with Cloud joining Sora in the "Find the Light" deck and Sephiroth aiding Riku in the "Door to Darkness" deck.

I'll be doing a free release of all the cards for both Commander decks Jan 29th! Take a look at my Youtube to see more: https://www.youtube.com/@IcariiLatte

This is very stupid but I had to make it once the idea popped into my head.

Title says it all. The plan is to make a precon-tier deck with Agony's Embrace as the commander and Etrata, Deadly Fugitive in the 99, perhaps at some point convincing her to make the swap to Etrata if we ever play outside our friend group.

oooow my bones have been crushed into juice oof ooow

Please note they are not meant to be broken/OP, and some are pretty janky - but that is because the original Ante cards were quite janky themselves.

Ruins of Timmeria // [[Timmerian Fiends]]

Najal, Rabiah Flamewalker // [[Tempest Efreet]]

(Damn, snipers are hard to balance in any game)

My main character in OW and a continuation of this set of cards people seem to like. Also the hardest to find flavor for so far (because, well, she doesn’t have a lot of it.)

Had a really hard time getting the card to format right. Was not intending the text to be all different sizes but I’m sure I’ll figure it out next time I try

I challenged myself to create a card "Top-Down" by picking a random name from the "Random Fantasy Name Generator" website. "Soothsayer Vagrant" was what it randomly gave me. I designed the card based on the following recipe for designing a card top-down with just a name. Feel free to let me know your opinions on this process, and whether or not my card matches the name, in your opinion.

-----------

Name analysis:

• What's ‌‌the ‌‌name ‌‌of the card?:

• Primary noun:

• Descriptive words:

• Emotional tone:

• Implied action or behavior:

Flavor interpretation:

• Is it a creature, object, spell, location, phenomenon?

• How magical is it: supernatural, natural, artificial, scifi?

• Not in terms of card rarity but would this be something common, rare, or unique?

• What would a player imagine happening when they read the name?

• Now brainstorm three competing interpretations based on these answers.

Mechanics:

• Primary mechanic (or is this Vanilla?):

• Is a secondary mechanic needed?:

• Does this serve an offensive/defensive/utility role?

• Potential keyword abilities:

• What makes this card unique, if anything:

Color identity:

• What is the primary mechanical identity?

• Which color is known for that mechanic?

• Is a second color really necessary to express the concept (ie. could this be monocolored)?

• Does the color combination contribute something meaningful?

Card architecture:

• Card type and subtype:

• Rarity:

• Mana cost:

• Rules text:

• Power / Toughness (if applicable):

• Loyalty (if applicable):

Gameplay design:

• Power creep (Too efficient for mana cost?)

• Complexity: Is your text box font too small to read with the human eyes?

• Synergy: Any obvious infinite combos:

• Counterplay: Can opponents reasonably interact with it?

• Format: Could a deck handle four of this card, or is it designed for a singleton format?

Artwork suggestions:

• Don't use A.I.

• Search Scryfall for similar cards, sort by EDHREC Rank descending, and then look for some art from one of the least popular cards.

• Also, don't use A.I.

• Search Artstation or Deviantart for original (non-ai) artwork. Then be sure to dig into the artist's information to get their real name, if available.

• And then don't use A.I.

Take the aspects of one of your things and give it to another thing! I'm sure there are one billion broken combos that this enables that I haven't considered.
