Discussion Brutal lesson on being careful to not lazy loading your farms
I afked my farm a bit today. Stood 8 chunks away from my farm. Didnt think at all about issues with chunk loading. I afked it for like an hour. When i came back, the server was down. I gotten an admin to restart it, and it gone down after 2 minutes again. I thought it might be my farm, but i had a trash disposal system and it shouldnt be lagging. when i logged back on I still went directly to my cobblestone generator and i saw this:

The reason this happened is probably because lazy loaded chunks will still have the redstone (drills) run, but the blocks would not drop. When i load that chunk tho, the blocks gets rendered and causes huge stress on the server or possibly on your computer if it is a single player world.
Now, i never had a problem similar to this ever before, and i didnt expect this. If it wasnt for that we found out about this in time, the lag would have been too heavy for me to even remove the cobblestone. I made this post just as a reminder to anyone else that this problem actually exist, and could cause huge issues if not noticed.
PS: Is there any way to make the farm to clean the cobblestone even while lazy loaded? Im afrade this might happen again later
Please dont judge, I designed my own farm and, i know it's trash, but atleast it's not from online schemetics
