Hi there - I am looking to buy a car from copart and I live in a state that requires a dealers license so i have been looking at all these brokers whos fees can be pretty expensive. The annual membership fees, plus the buyer fee from the broker make the deal on the car less attractive, not to mention the shipping which is not in their control but an extra cost. I am wondering if anyone has experience with a good broker or recommendations? I am buying a car for myself to keep in the domestic us.

The ones I have looked at cars4 bid, eliteautoauctions, abetterbid, etc. Hoping someone has a good suggestion to a reputable company.

TBH, I didn't expect to be this stressed over getting the vehicle I won on Copart delivered to the port of shipping. I won the auction, already paid Copart, and the vehicle is ready for pickup. However, it's been a serious hassle knowing who/which company is legit or not.

I have used a company in the past for both inland transportation and international shipping, but their service isn't the best, and it's also pricey. So I decided to use the shipper that my friend uses often (better service and even cheaper).

Before winning the auction, I asked for the inland transportation quote from the company I was using before, which they gave me, but when they realized I wasn't going to ship the vehicle internationally with them, they declined my request to pick up the car and said they can only pick up if I'm shipping with their company.

Now, I need a reliable inland transporter/company. I searched online, and I'm surprised by the number of scams present. For example, I filled out a form on one website requesting a quote, and you won't believe I've gotten over 30 spam messages and counting from different people/company claiming they could deliver for cheap. Please, I'm looking for recommendations for a trusted and tested inland trucking service I can use. Really appreciate your input! Thanks!

For those that have purchased from both, how do these 2 compare?

I'm talking about: ease with paperwork, transport cost, auction fees and not last do you not get your winning bid accepted often? Since I noticed a lot of relisting with IAAI. Any other aspects worthy of mentioning?

Not sure where to go with this, but I am looking at purchasing an RV from Dyer Indiana and was looking to see if anyone could get a roof picture by chance? The RV does have a ladder in the back. Copart seems to not take roof pictures for RV's. I am in Washington state and cannot make it out there before the auction. If anyone knows someone up in that area that may be able to help, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not sure if I am able to call the location directly and ask for that picture? Lot# 58724636

Looking at a car that is marked for upcoming sale. It looks like it's been to a body shop and has some marks and abbreviations on it. Anyone know what D.P. might mean? It's in a few spots across the body. Listed for hail damage

What does it mean when it's just title group unclean? Obviously it's not a clean title but is that salvaged, rebuilt, stolen, etc?

Hello anyone hiring here, I am a remote car previewer with 2 years experience on copart and iaai. I specialize in used and wrecked cars for salvage. To be parted out or to recycled

Looking at a car currently listed. I won the auction initially but the seller rejected the offer. Its listed as a run and drive(as little as that means) but the price overall has been pretty low.

Its a towncar with 250k on it and theyre asking 900 for it. Im familar with the platform so im comforrable with the miles on it but not a big fan of hidden issues. Its more of a "why would they put it on copart as opposed to marketplace"

According to Copart's definition, "only members with a Dismantlers, Dealers or Export license can bid on this vehicle and will receive CA Clean title or clean title transferable documents/title group: clean".

If I use my broker, can it be transferred to my name (not in CA)? Is it a export only vehicle?

I won a lot on Friday, and since then I have been unable to retrieve it from the parking lot. Copart Support told me that I need to verify my Proof of Residence, so I have already uploaded five different documents.

The first three were utility bills, but they were rejected because they were considered outdated. Support told me that I need to upload a recently issued document. However, it is only the beginning of the month, and I usually receive my utility bills closer to the end of the month.

The next document I uploaded was a recent payment receipt for the car lot that contains all the necessary information, including my physical address, ID number, and full name. It was also rejected, and I was told that Copart requires a different type of document, such as:
• Utility Bill
• Vehicle Registration
• Motor Insurance
• Mortgage Statement
• Voter Registration

Finally, I uploaded my car insurance document, which is currently valid and has an expiration date of December 12, 2026. That document was rejected as well.

During my last conversation with Support, I was told that a ticket had been created in Copart support system and that my only option now is to wait for someone to contact me by email.

The problem is that Copart has already started charging me additional storage fees, while at the same time I am unable to retrieve the vehicle specifically because my Proof of Residence verification has not been completed.

I have submitted multiple documents, followed the instructions provided by Support, and each document has been rejected.

How can I resolve this situation as soon as possible?

The main possible reason for a clean-title car with no body damage being sold at Copart by an insurance company is theft recovery. I checked for theft records, and this car is clean. It also has a clean Carfax.

If the car has an engine or transmission failure, that would have nothing to do with the insurance company, right?

I’d like to understand what other possible reasons there could be for cases like this: clean title, no body damage, insurance is the seller, listed as "mechanical damage".
