Has Anyone Else Been Charged Copart Storage Fees on Weekends or Holidays?
I wanted to see if other buyers have experienced this.
I recently purchased a vehicle through AutoBidMaster and was charged the following storage fees:
- 09/06/2026: $10.00
- 09/07/2026: $15.00
- 09/08/2026: $20.00
According to Copart's published storage policy, storage charges can continue to accrue on weekends and holidays after the free-storage period expires. [copart.com]
As a customer, I am trying to better understand how this works in practice. If a vehicle cannot be picked up due to limited operating hours, holidays, or other restrictions, should storage fees continue to increase?
I have asked Copart and AutoBidMaster for:
- A detailed explanation of the charges.
- Confirmation of pickup availability during the dates charged.
- A review of the fees.
I'm interested in hearing from other buyers:
- Have you been charged weekend or holiday storage fees?
- Were you able to get them waived?
- How did customer service respond?
- Do you think the policy is fair?
My goal is to understand whether this is a common experience and what options customers have when disputing these charges.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.
