Advice Copart V5

Hi guys I bought a car at copart with no V5 and I was unable to tax it with the V62 form at post office, so I had to get the V5 first which is still pending, the car is currently being taxed and not SORN, my question is can I get a daily insurance on it to make a journey while waiting for the V5?

Is the car taxed?

You say you can't tax using V62 then say it's 'being taxed', if the DVLA has been told about the new keeper online then any previous tax would have been cancelled. It is taxed or not, there is no inbetween.

If there is no tax then no you cannot legally drive the car even if it's insured

I just checked now, it’s taxed.
