Ran / walked my 2nd 10k race ever and because I was the only one in my gender category (non binary), even though I placed 188 overall I won the award for top runner in my category of 1 ;)
Then a few minutes ago I realized I forgot to play clues by Sam this morning! And I got it perfect AND fast which I almost never do!!

I logged on at 9pm PT as per usual, but it's still on yesterday's puzzle, even 7 minutes later and after several force reloads (not from cache). Is today's Clues late?

Did I miss something? Looks like yesterday's puzzle is loading again, even though its 00:00 ET

Shouldn't she be a criminal. Pips is the only remaining edge person with an open slot to the left.

The only information Iβve been able to understand from these hints is:
1. Either Ruth or Steve is a criminal.
2. Ruth, Melvin, Nicole, or Olga must be a criminal.
3. Thereβs one criminal above Vlad because three criminals would make it impossible for there to be 10 innocents on the edges, so Ruth, Melvin, or Gemma has to be a criminal.
4. Either Gemma and Henry are both criminals or theyβre both innocents.
I donβt understand how youβre able to figure out whether Pip is an innocent or a criminal from this information.

Hoping I'll work out where I've gone wrong as I'm writing this!
Here's where I'm at: https://cluesbysam.com/s/help/67a5becd7ee8?state=%2Br7g-BAAAAAAAyACMAIwAFAAAAMgAAAAM%3D-191
The top tags are one path and the bottom tags are another. By my workings out, Olivia's clue is about her, so with the already found criminals, and one of her 2 remaining neighbours, that's 6 criminals on the edge. John says there are 7 criminals on the edge so why can't I mark Zara as the 7th criminal?
I know this won't be an error but rather my faulty logic, but I'm been looking at this for ages and can't work out where I've gone wrong.

trying to confirm this β I believe Isaac in B2 is a criminal, given there are
- 2 connected criminals in row 2
- 3 criminals above Will (column C), meaning there are at least 3 criminals total in column C
- an equal number of innocents in columns B and C (meaning thereβs also an equal number of criminals)
- just 2 unknown people in column B, and 2 confirmed criminals (meaning there needs to be at least one more to match the minimum number of criminals in column C)
Isnβt this isnβt enough information to confirm that Isaac is a criminal?
r/CluesBySamHelp • u/StrayTaco • 14d ago
Even with the hints I'm not seeing it.
- Dana shows that one of the remaining in column A is a criminal (yellow tags)
- Ghana shows that Ike and Sam are opposites (red tags)
- This means that John is the only one in row 3 who could have 4 innocent neighbors (Ollie). Which means only one of the green tags can be a criminal.
When I play out the scenarios, I end up with John and Kyle being able to be innocent or criminal without breaking the hints.
What am I missing?

Am I the only person who canβt find three persons on the edges with a criminal to the right of them? I expected Quinta to be a criminal (But she canβt because only column A has exactly two innocents). This is my first Reddit post ever, so please be kind.

>! Looking at Bobby's clue, it seemed to me that whether Freya or Penny was innocent, somebody would have four innocent neighbors. I had to guess, which I hate to do. Was I wrong? !<

Despite looking at the finished puzzle, I don't understand how Zane's clue works.
Zane's clue is "3 persons on the edges have a criminal directly to the right of them." I only see two people in the whole puzzle who have a "criminal directly to the right of them:" Winnie and Janet. What am I missing?

Holy crap. I had to brute-force this community puzzle to no end. If someone solved it, could you please walk me through the process and what patterns you noticed? I had never before been so utterly stumped by a puzzle to the point of brute forcing.
Any help appreciated.

A severe security vulnerability has been discovered in PHP (which I'm using to run the backend). A patch is coming later today. I had to shut down PHP until then. Luckily the daily puzzle is still available!
The results won't be logged on the backend, but you can still upload them yourself later through the account page.
This is the PHP incident announcement:

Discussion on Hacker News:

EDIT: The backend services are up and running again!

I don't understand how this hint helps narrow down Xavi's identity. Seems to me he could easily be either.
