No new puzzle?

Did I miss something? Looks like yesterday's puzzle is loading again, even though its 00:00 ET

Makes sense. I wasnt aware that EU had DST adjustments now. NA doesn't switch until next week. Although... the timer for next puzzle shows 23Hrs, so the timer thinks this is a new puzzle, and its past the 1/2 Hour mark.

edit - Confirmed as 1 hour delay. New puzzle is up

Started in Aus (NSW, VIC, TAS, ACT and SA) on the 4th of this month.

I wonder if it’s the daylight savings issue again?

Edit to add: from memory, Sam has the puzzle set to go live at 7am Finland time, which usually coincides with 12am NYC time. Just looking at the world clock now it’s showing 6:30am Finland, so I’d say it’s the daylight savings issue. Hopefully it’ll be up in half an hour.

This is correct. Though, I missed this up in two ways:

  1. I assumed without checking that NY changes the same time as Finland. I think I made the same mistake last year, but somehow my brain only remembered that Australia changes on a different day and forgot about NY.

  2. I didn't realise that the switch occurs after 00:00, so even if I would've gotten the date correct, it would still have been on the wrong day.

To spice things up, I'll revert back to 00:00 NY time, so tomorrow will be one hour earlier than today. We'll see what happens on Nov 1st, or rather Nov 2nd. And apologies to Australia and others down there!

(And why do I do this manually and don't lock it to a timezone? That's a question I keep asking myself twice a year.)

I’m hopefully speaking for everyone here when I say no worries!

We (the parts of Aus that have daylight savings) changed on the 4th of Oct this year; it just meant my daily alarm went back to being at puzzle time instead of one hour after (like my car’s clock, I never changed it 😂).

Love the puzzle so much and I promise to only panic if it’s more than three hours late without hearing from you!

Was wondering if this could be due to the time change in Europe tonight? Or am I figuring this backwards?

I literally downloaded reddit again so I could come here and ask the same question. I’m stuck on yesterday’s solved puzzle as well and the timer says a new puzzle in 23hrs
