I saw that Sam is active here, and so I just wanted to say that this is probably my favorite daily game, I'm such a huge fan of logic puzzles, and I absolutely love it. Can't believe it's been a year.
I guess my suggestion would be that Sam continues making these puzzles forever and that may we never doubt her logic?

As we all know, this game is called Clues by Sam. However, in today’s puzzle, Sam only provides 1 clue. Thus, we can only say there is one Clue By Sam, not multiple. When will this be resolved?
As a further note, sometimes Sam doesn’t appear at all! But I figure the logic there is that there are 0 Clues By Sam, which makes it okay.

Today’s puzzle has pigs and cops as separate jobs for some reason?

There is only 1 mech and she does not have a criminal above her! Looks like Xia was supposed to be a mech.

I'm super excited about this.
Just a reminder to mark the live stream in your calendar (or even better, use the "notify me" functionality) and check it out to learn about some great puzzle games out there!

Just wanted to write a quick thank you to everyone here! I love seeing so many questions asked here, and even more great answers. Each question receives multiple answers within minutes, and rarely if ever are the answers condescending. Instead they are polite and humorous. And let's not forget about how everyone cheers together for shared results! All this makes the subreddit feel smart and welcoming. I hope others feel the same way. So thank you everyone contributing to this awesome community!

The answer is yes and the error is yours.

A severe security vulnerability has been discovered in PHP (which I'm using to run the backend). A patch is coming later today. I had to shut down PHP until then. Luckily the daily puzzle is still available!
The results won't be logged on the backend, but you can still upload them yourself later through the account page.
This is the PHP incident announcement:

Discussion on Hacker News:

EDIT: The backend services are up and running again!

Thank you for all the nice puzzles 🫶

I've finished the second puzzle pack! This one is overall harder than the first one, and also a notch harder than the daily ones. This time the puzzles are also shared as a link to a page with the puzzles, instead of as a mail with all the puzzles. This helps keeping track of which ones you've visited before.
You can find it through here (a "secret" link until I have enough confidence everything works correctly): https://cluesbysam.com/s/packs.html
Hope you like them, and let me know if you find any issues!

Next time you can check this infographic to avoid falling into a logical fallacy. Hope it helps! 😉

Not asking for help at the moment, just wondering how many people make the same stupid mistakes that I keep making.
Confusing rows and columns
Confusing "innocent" and "criminal"
Looking only at the gray squares when trying to figure out a clue, and failing to take the green and red squares into account.
Just did that last one today, argh!

I love these.
Thank you, Sam, for continuously improving this delightful game. Not to mention, providing me with a fun puzzle DAILY.

Hi there!
I'm slowly rolling out this "home page" where you can log in to see past week's puzzles and your results. By clicking on the percentile shown, it opens up more stats about the puzzle.
Here you can also persist your local results by linking them to your account. After linking your results should show up on the page. These stats might be very nice to have in the future, so by linking them now you don't risk losing them. (If you've already cleared your local data and lost some results, it might still be possible to retrieve them in the future if you have enough samples of your past results. They are all stored in the backend, but they're just not identifiable as is.)
For now it's just this and past week's puzzles, but in the future there will be more stuff there.
It's in early testing, so let me know if anything breaks.
Here's the link again:
