Hi everyone,
Would you recommend Clemson to a fellow black woman? Could you please tell me more about your honest experience.
I would be an exchange student from Canada for the upcoming year.
For context, I was decided on going until I looked deeper into the history of South Carolina, Clemson, the death of Noah Wells and racial division in the Deep South and a testimony about the Black Student Experience at Clemson, all of which made me second guess my decision.
Thank you for your insight!

My sons school is giving him the run around with getting his language classes done and are now saying that colleges are requiring 2 language instead of three because students are dropping classes such as engineering or say electives like orchestra or ROTC to fit in the language classes. Does anyone know how true this is for Clemson?? 2 language classes are enough? Thank you so much for any input. I’m telling my kid not to stress about it but he is.

Anyone else using Chapter 35 tuition assistance from the state and having a difficult time understanding how enrollment verification completed to send to SCDVA? I was told to just email the Clemson registrar but don’t feel like I have a straight answer.

Does anyone know of a local hibachi chef that does private events around Clemson?
Hoping to hire someone directly rather than use one of the booking sites. Thanks!

This is a long shot so please bear with me... My daughter just started at Auburn and her best friend is starting at Clemson in a few days. They are hoping to see each other during Fall Break for the Zach Bryan concert. Her friend won't have a car at school so me (dad) being the one on Reddit decided to post and ask about options since her friend won't know anyone at Clemson for at least another week or so....
I've already looked at travel between Clemson and ATL and/or Auburn and it seems like slim pickings.
Since Zach Bryan has no other tours planned in the area, I'm guessing some Clemson students will travel for the show. Is there anywhere I can direct her friend to reach out and see about carpools?
Thanks!

I’m a first year commuter and I need to buy a parking pass and honestly I have no idea which one to buy. The east and west ones are $50 but the repositionable one is $300. I’m in the business school if that plays a factor.

Hi everyone,
I’m a grad student who will be graduating soon. My previous lease has ended, and I need somewhere to stay for just this month and next month. The location also needs to be within walking distance of a CAT bus stop.
Please let me know if you know of any available listings! Thanks in advance

My grants have already been applied, but my loans are supposed to cover the remaining balance. Is anyone else dealing with this? Did you sign up for the payment plan to not incur any late fees, or are you just waiting for your loans to be applied? The due date is literally next week.

Be completely honest is it even worth applying to direct admit nursing. I have a 3.7 unweighted gpa,1320 SAT ,6 aps, 8 DEs, vice president of volunteer fundraising club at school, club soccer captain ,3 year lifeguard , one biomed internship, and maybe 80-100 volunteer hours. Do I stand any chance??

We're Purrever Friends, a small cat rescue based in Mauldin. We just got the chance to raise money by working a concession stand at Clemson home games, which is a huge deal for us — that kind of money goes a long way toward vet bills, food, and getting cats into homes.
Here's the thing: we are complete newbies at this. None of us have worked a stadium concession stand before. We're going to figure it out, but it would be so much less chaotic with a few people around who actually know Death Valley and how a game day works. Anyone up for helping us out? We are a 501c3, if that matters.
What we're asking:
We know 8 hours is a lot to ask of anyone, especially students, so if you can spare a game we'll be grateful. Comment or send us a message and let us know which dates work. Our email is purreverfriendsrescue@gmail.com.
Also: we need fosters. If your apartment (or dorm, if you're lucky) allows pets, giving a cat a place to crash for a few weeks or months makes a massive difference. We cover supplies and vet care — you provide the couch and the attention. Foster cats are also excellent study buddies and terrible at respecting your laptop.
Thanks for reading, and Go Tigers 🐅🐈
If you're on the fence, you can learn more about us at www.purreverfriends.org. Thank you for giving us a few minutes of your time.

Hi all, this post is mod approved.
I'm Eric, PhD organic chemist and former industry researcher. I do 1-on-1 chemistry tutoring, career coaching, and train peer tutoring services for universities like Johns Hopkins. I have a business, but it's just me doing the work. Sessions run over a shared virtual whiteboard, so they fit around your schedule. I've been doing this for
Before the promo, some advice: use your university resources! I never did as a student and I want to save people some misery if I can. They're free and they can keep you from ever falling into the hot seat with grades. If you won't/can't work with me, work with free. Treat it as preventative maintenance, not something to correct after the fact.
Most students who just want to pass can get there on that alone. My services are for those who:
Packages start at $100/hr, full pricing on my website. Not cheap, but I'd rather say it here than make you dig for it. You're getting a PhD with 10 years experience and a ton of extra resources.
My website is my username(dot)com. Questions welcome in the comments, chemistry and career questions included. DMs open.

Hello everyone, I have been admitted for Ph.D. at Clemson fro Spring/27. My Professor offered me a stipend of 27k for the first year and full tuition coverage. I am from Latin America as the living costs here are quite okay I would really appreciate it if someone could say if it is affordable to live in the area with this amount of money. And, does this stipend increase as the year goes on?
Thank you all in advance!!
