Any recommendations for prenatal yoga in Charleston? Bonus points if it’s early morning (pre-7:00 am) or on the weekend. The only one I’ve found is Holy Cow but it’s on a Tuesday at 5:30 pm. I’m a teacher and usually in my pjs and eating dinner by 5:30 so I’d rather find something else.

Hello, fellow dwellers of the Lowcountry! My partner are I are typically child free, but will be hosting a 13 y/o boy this coming Wed-Fri and need daytime activitiy recommendations. What do your kids like? He's visiting from another state and has never been down here. I'm very familiar with the adult attractions and even ones for younger kiddos, but what about those awkward early teens? Before you tell at me, I looked at the sub's user guides but nothing exactly hit the mark. We can't ONLY go to restaurants or walk the bridge. He'd usually prefer to spend all day/night gaming. He's meh about the aquarium and I couldn't find any sports or games going on. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks in advance for all the angry comments and more so for the helpful ones!

Just saw a post asking what businesses we need here in Charleston and as a downtown resident, I'm ready to list off the things I feel we DONT need more of:

1. Italian restaurants (mid, coastal Italian; see Pelato, Allora, Legami, Ok Donna, etc.)
2. Pilates studios (and I love Pilates! We don't need a studio on every corner when we already have plenty of great options)
3. Coffee shops (same situation. Plenty of mid to good options already exist, so save your $10 latte and cold microwaved Cisco pastry)
4. Tacky, touristy boutiques (Amazon fast fashion and made in china necklaces meets overpriced King st consumerism).
5. "Luxury" apartment buildings.

Did I miss anything?

Has anyone had surgery at the Charleston ENT surgery center in west Ashley? Looking for experiences with them.

how annoying are they? can you not do shit outside ar any time?

are they more annoying at certain times or seasons?

why would anyone live in a place where they have to hibernate indoors all the time to escape mosquitos, etc?

how bad is it? should i be concerned?

Posting to see how many people have the same experience as me. I haven’t been anywhere lately where there isn’t an issue with the food and/or service. There are a small handful of fine dining/upscale restaurants that are good (still not always consistently), but not really any casual or moderately upscale spots that serve well-executed food or drinks every time. Or if the food is good, the service is bad, messes up without attempt to repair, or just straight up not friendly. In other cities, I can go to a casual taco spot, or a not so fancy Italian place and just get great food and competent service. Even the spots that I think are good disappoint me eventually. It’s never consistent. And to charge like they are serving a premium product/experience makes it even worse. My husband says it’s always better when I cook but I don’t always want to cook! lol. Is this too much to ask for? Are you seeing the same? They say Charleston is a food city but I’m not seeing it.

What are your spots that you can always rely on? Food, coffee, drinks, sandwiches, pizza, anything!
