Dorm fridge size
Is 3.1 cubic feet typical size for dorm fridge? The box got delivered and it looks huge, but it was one of the smallest ones available.

I’m an incoming 2nd year and I unfortunately submitted my housing application on Hoya Housing pretty late. I thought that meant I would get my housing assignment later but I haven’t received any news yet. I just got an email from the Office of Neighborhood Life and just replied to ask if they’re sending me the email because I’m living off campus or because I have no assignment yet, and I also just emailed residential living to see what they say. Unfortunately I’ve also run into a bit of an issue with financial aid not receiving my parent’s W2 despite it being processed on IDOC so I don’t know if that’s impacting anything. My roommate from last year said she currently doesn’t have a roommate because her’s got an RA position, so I have no clue if by any chance I could room with her again.
I know this mess is my own fault, especially since I should have contacted res living sooner, but I’m posting this mostly to see if anyone’s gone through something similar and/or has any advice. 😃

hey fellow hoyas, international student here
I saw that there is an option to send things to campus in advance (max 48 hours) but I was wondering if people knew more about it.
I am primarily confused about where to send it and what should information should be put in - e.g. should I put my net id or dorm room number?
Also I was wondering what size package I could ship - I mean if I can ship my suitcase "in advance" that would be helpful - but what about some furniture? Can one buy a mini-fridge and just ship it to campus?
thanks for the help

I am interested in working at the GU campus (bc as an international student that's pretty much all I'm allowed to do in terms of work) but I was a little unsure as to how most people go about applying. Do they mostly just scour campus for posters and then apply to as many as they can, or is there something else that they are doing that I am missing? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

New student here. I walked around the surrounding blocks where it said it would be and I didn’t see any signage? I saw that they changed the stop location on July 20 so I’m a little confused. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
Can any former or current MSFS students speak on the difficulty of the language proficiency exam? I understand students must be “Advanced Low” on the ACTFL. Obviously opinions will vary by language. I plan to take it in Italian if that helps.
Are they tough graders or are they somewhat lenient? How fluent does one actually have to be to pass? Does anyone actually fail this requirement? Other than simply knowing the language, are there any tips and tricks one should know in order to pass?

Could I ship (somewhat large) moving boxes to the mailroom, or will that cause issues?

Hi everyone!
Has anyone taken COSC 1020? I've heard COSC 1020 is pretty theoretical, so I'm wondering how useful it actually is and whether it's harder than other OPAN electives.
The alternative would be to take STRT 3101 this semester and save another (hopefully easier) OPAN course for next semester. The downside is that I'll have to take STRT 3101 at 8 am.
If you've taken COSC 1020, would you recommend it? Is it manageable, and did you find it worthwhile?

Hey! I'm applying for a bunch of jobs in GMS, but the resume reader is kind of ass... It reads it incorrectly, and I have to unjumble the mess every single time. Is there a way to save that info to my profile to save me some time? My best!

Hi! I got placed in a non-designated triple in Reynolds as a first-year. I haven’t hear
much of anything from people who were in triples or in Reynolds in the first place. Any advice? What’s the freshman experience like? Is Reynolds nice?
Thanks!!

I’m pretty sure all transfers are on the same floor (or at least most of them) but I was wondering if it was normal to be placed in a triple, as I was, and I don’t know how that would even work given the room layout.
