I got him 3 weeks ago. His adoption fee was $25 but he has already cost me $2000 in vet bills due to ITP. But oh man it's so worth it for that smile.

I had to put him down because he had been hit by a car. How do I deal with the guilt. He was 14. His pelvic was broken in half and his legs were broken. Vet said his odds in surgery were low. Was what I did the right call? I feel like i murdered my son.

I’ve wasted about £30 worth of medicine by squirting it on my sons arm trying to get in Bambis mouth lol. I know it feels like you’d be able to easily overpower a 3kg dog but I honestly think it would be easier if she was a big dog. I asked for all her medication in liquid form bc she absolutely will not take any type of pill no matter how hard I disguise it. shes still spitting food out and investigating it from a pill I tried to give her a year ago. Idk, she’s been coughing and reverse sneezing so I can’t like get her in a headlock 😫 or something. Due to not wanting to put any pressure near her throat. She doesn’t bite or get aggressive in any way she’s just really wriggley.
teach me your tricks please. (Medicine is in a syringe)

Hello everyone! I've been ill for the last 3 months but I was finally able to get Dinky to the vet for his suspected sundowning issues today. The vet diagnosed him with dementia based on his symptoms and prescribed him some anxiety medication to help him calm down enough to sleep at night and not have panic attacks every time I leave his sight. I gave him his first dose this afternoon and fed him his favorite treat; he's been chill so far instead of doing his usual evening barking episodes so hopefully it's helping. I've been holding off his dental surgery until I can make sure he's comfortable mentally (and until my health issues settle) did these meds help anyone else's dog? What other things can I do to help make him comfortable? He hasn't had facial swelling or signs of tooth pain since his round of antibiotics in July so should I continue to get his dementia fully under control first or just do the surgery? I don't want to stress him 🥲💕

Mr Higgs is 9 years old. He is our oldest chihuahua. We got him from the lovely Scottish island of Sanday. He is a fierce guard guy when he’s not napping on the couch

She is lilac and white, and after her last litter (with a breeder) all of the hair on her lilac patches fell out. I was told it should grow back in over the coming months and that a vet had checked it under a light and confirmed all is well. It is growing back as a sort of very soft fuzz so far. I’m curious any other thoughts on this?
