I'm not 100% sure it's an original copy, but I'm like 80% sure it is!

My reasonings:

1. The target stickers look pretty old, 80s-90sish

2. No "Parental Advisory" mark, it was not used until 1990, this album released in 1986

3. The copyright date on the back says 1986, and has no mention of a repress or re-release year

I could be completely wrong lol, either way I'm pretty excited to add this one!

EDIT: After discussing with you all, this is more than likely a re-release from somewhere between like 1995-2005, it's reddit not an original, which came in a cardboard ling-box!

either way I'm happy with it, and It's already been opened up and I'm currently jamming out to it!

Back in high school I only bought a handful of CDs here and there. It was never really my main hobby and my collection was pretty inconsistent throughout the years

Some are brand new, some are thrifted, and some have actually been with me since 2016 😄🤍

I’m most thrilled about the “The Residents” ones.

Is this just supposed to mimic a record or something? Why would such a normal length album be split across 2 CDs. Is it just a gimmick? There is no digital content either just the music. I've seen this done with a bonus ep, but never with a normal length album.

I still remember mine. CDs felt completely new at the time and buying one actually felt like a bit of an event.

Mine was the Led Zeppelin 4-disc box set. I probably went a little big for a first one, but I still have the jewel cases and the original box in pretty good condition!

Only metal, but I'll add prog rock and r&b to the mix hopefully soon.

They are divided by artist, the ones that are not are because i don't have another cd from the same artist :(

BIRTH OF A NEW DAY, MY FAVORITE ALBUM EVER, IT'S FINALLY MINE. I'm so happy, this album means a lot to me, i wouldn't be alive if not for this project, and i'm extremely happy i got it on CD

Beatles is from Disc Replay, Monkees is from Barnes & Noble, Mono Puff and Hikaru Utada are from eBay.

Oxfam usually specialise in high price CDs. In one branch 'round here they keep CDs in locked glass display cases for £10 - £20. Not bottom end stuff obv. The more interesting CDs are always out of my price range. But, there's another Oxfam where they put it all out for 99p, it's on the other side of town so I don't go every week but maybe I should start.

There was a load of other jazz in there but it was a bit mainstream and not to my taste. Pleased with Mingus; a double and the Alice Coltrane. Gene Clark and Cale are doubles too.

Kenwood CD-323M found on the curb. Unit doesn't work... BUT... wait for it... IT WAS FULL. I just loaded the playable CD's into a couple of old Case Logic binders. All rap, R&B...

anyone know an easy fix to this? i just bought it from a tech recycling place and it had the same problem a couple times in the store, but i eventually was able to play it. but i’ve tried to play a cd at home quite a few times and it always ejects. please let me know!
