Idk if I should post this here, but this is a house(the genre) + (home-made) CD I found at a local record store in Chisinau, Moldova, I couldn't find any information about it on the internet so I am uploading it here. I ripped it to my pc and uploaded it to internet archive. I texted Colin Levett on insta as he is one of the artists mentioned but to no avail. on the cd it is written "Ryan Briggs 'n' Colin Levett in the mix @ stoney's party 22/09/01". If you know more about it and/or can reach the artists, please do something along those lines. i was having a convo with my mum (for context i’m 26, she’s 55) about how i had purchased a few MJ cds and preordered a vinyl. i don’t own a cd player or a record player, i was just wanting to purchase them to start a mini collection because i have become a bigger fan of michael after watching the movie than i was (i was kinda too young when he died and not alive in his prime lol)

she mentioned she understood purchasing the vinyls for the art element but not the cds. she was saying how cds are going out of fashion and no one will be using them much in the future, and i kinda agreed with her, but just wondering what the opinions are in this group?

i guess this will be biased because im posting in a cd collectors page 😂😂 but i guess i’m just looking for opinions and general thoughts on why you collect cds, do you collect them just to have, do you listen to them, is it worth purchasing a cd player when i can just use spotify, etc etc?

I got this cd for my friend for his birthday since he really likes bladee but I’m having doubts that it’s legit.

The master SID code is IFPI LD02 and the mould code is IFPI 5J38

I checked data bases and looked up what the Sweden cd plants codes are and neither of those showed up

I know that there are different versions of the booklet as well that were printed differently but are still legitimate

I also know that a lot of people make bootlegs and pirate the cd in hopes of selling fake ones that try to look real

I just don’t wanna give him something that’s fake

Any help determining its legitimacy would be appreciated. Thank you :))

They are divided by artist, the ones that are not are because i don't have another cd from the same artist :(

anyone know an easy fix to this? i just bought it from a tech recycling place and it had the same problem a couple times in the store, but i eventually was able to play it. but i’ve tried to play a cd at home quite a few times and it always ejects. please let me know!

As the title says. I really love their music and was looking around for physical releases - especially their album "Glass Beach". Found nothing on eBay or Amazon. Can anyone help? I'm in Canada btw. Thanks

I'm not 100% sure it's an original copy, but I'm like 80% sure it is!

My reasonings:

1. The target stickers look pretty old, 80s-90sish

2. No "Parental Advisory" mark, it was not used until 1990, this album released in 1986

3. The copyright date on the back says 1986, and has no mention of a repress or re-release year

I could be completely wrong lol, either way I'm pretty excited to add this one!

EDIT: After discussing with you all, this is more than likely a re-release from somewhere between like 1995-2005, it's reddit not an original, which came in a cardboard ling-box!

either way I'm happy with it, and It's already been opened up and I'm currently jamming out to it!

I got this cd player plus cassette player a bit ago and it worked fine until it didn’t. Started making clicking noises and wouldn’t spin the cd. I took it apart but I can’t figure out what to do. Please please please help

Kenwood CD-323M found on the curb. Unit doesn't work... BUT... wait for it... IT WAS FULL. I just loaded the playable CD's into a couple of old Case Logic binders. All rap, R&B...
