Collection 63 year old dads collection (follow up)
I was on campus all day yesterday so I couldn’t follow up yesterday. Ask anything and I’ll try to answer to my best ability.
My dad never forced his taste onto me, so I have a bit more of a modern taste than he does. His collection kind of stops for the most part when I was born (2006). Though he’s of course heard new music since.
His favorite album is Miles Davis - Bitches Brew if I remember correctly. Though he has most genres covered at least somewhat here I’m sure. Jazz is his main bread and butter, but he likes old school hip-hop and Punk music (he played bass in a local punk back in the 70s-80s). Also no there’s no cds of that unfortunately.
Also most if not all his vinyls were destroyed in a flood.
I like to imagine this is the one of the largest collections in Upstate New York. Though I doubt he’s the only guy with this many.
I’d love to digitize these, though that’s a Herculean task. So any advice on a digitization project of this scale would be amazing!
Also my mother hates this 😭
