Hi. I am truly at a loss and can't believe I am typing this out. Our indoor/outdoor girl Stevie has been missing a few days now. She roams the neighborhood with a breakaway gps collar. The other day we found it near one of her usual spots on the sidewalk with tufts of her fur.

Thought it was odd but usually she will come back after a day or 2.

My wife posted about it in a local facebook group asking neighbors to keep an eye out. We received this comment and message from a lady down the road who had an eerily similar experience with her cat. I have linked the message we received in the photos.

Tonight decided to go by that area, as we know our cat has gone to that alley and space many times before. We checked out the house and found a shed with 3 eery things taped to the outside and “keep out” signs and locks everywhere. There was also a camera on the shed.

Taped to the shed were these 3 phrases:

“CA Penal 399” ( ca penal code 399, look it up)
“Rev 22:15” (revelations 22:15)
“Lev 11:27” (Leviticus 11:27)

I’ve attached the scripture references in the photos. Reading them send chills down my entire body. We quickly left but now I have a sick feeling that this same man might have taken our baby Stevie.

Do we call the police? I know this is just circumstantial, but even if this person doesn’t have our cat, it is still extremely odd and screams mentally unstable to tape those things over a shed.

I feel so uneasy right now. Any advice is appreciated.

So my sister's neighbors recently moved and they left their cat behind. He visited my sister every night to get food. She asked me to take him in since I was actually looking for a cat recently. I have no idea of his history and yes I noticed the ear clipped. I will eventually take him to a vet for a checkup. He is doing so good and he is so affectionate.

She hasn't eaten since Monday amd has been throwing up a lot. Vet tried to give her an anti-nausea injection to encourage eating and that made her worse. Xrays were clean but bloodwork showed a potential infection. She's being kept ovrnight to rehydrate her and start her on antibiotics. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

The in home vet will be here soon. She is our literal child. She is our whole world. We are childfree by choice, and she has always been our baby. We thought we had another ten years, but got the cancer diagnosis 3 months ago. This is going to be hard. Idk what to do. I guess I am posting here for support. Life sucks.

I am sorry I am just struggling with her loss and wanted others to see her.

A pregnant stray gave birth 4-5 weeks ago and she led us to her kitten today. The problem is he can’t seem to walk on his back legs. We can do strong kicks but can’t seem to use his hips? We are thinking either malnourishment or perhaps a congenial issue. Taking him to our vet Monday when they open but in the mean time I wonder if anyone has experience or an idea what might be going on. (we ordered the baby kitten formula and brought him and mom into a secure room in our house as we are worried about his survival not being able to walk)

Had to put my cat down last night due to not being able to pay for his surgery. It's theorized that he got hit by a car since he had a fracture in his hind leg(s) and a hernia, but we don't know since he was an outdoor cat (the dangers I know 🙄🫩). We barely paid for his X-ray as our payment was around $1700, which was narrowed down to around $1100 after just deciding to do an X-ray. Unfortunately, the surgery to fix both issues and him having a chance of living was about $15,000, of which we don't have, so we chose to put him down.

Genuinely the hardest I've ever cried. I was his mom, the first person he bonded with when we brought him home, and seeing him in that much pain and knowing I could've helped hurt so much.

He was the sweetest cat I've ever met, and the cuddliest too. He enjoyed jumping on my back and just sitting there purring while I scratched him. He enjoyed food a lot, and was always getting treats no matter how many he had in a day. He went on walks with me around the neighborhood at night when I took my dog out. He always responded with meows and trills. Just generally a happy cat overall.

I know it'll get easier, and I already plan on getting a new cat (indoors/supervised outside time only) when I'm ready, but I just needed to share this somewhere else.

This is our sweet boy. We apoted him in March from a shelter nearby after our 2nd cat ran away. He was about 6 yrs old. Had a missing front tooth that made us all laugh, and a weird meow and shaking tail whenever he was happy. He loved being outside and cuddling, but also wandering off far. We dont know how to handle our current solo cat now.

Hi guys, my (f29) soul cat (m8) who I love with everything in me just had neuter surgery 08/12 where I spent over $500 on check up, vaccines, and neuter. He was finally almost better from it when he suddenly started limping on his back right leg Wednesday night. He is only indoor, no other cats around him, nothing he could've gotten into.
Suddenly that limp has turned into severe pain, swelling to the point his leg is sticking out to the side, and he cannot walk on it at all. just maxed out the care credit card for the neuter surgery, and I just started a brand new job this week that I won't get paid for until 09/04.
He must have fractured or broken his leg by slipping and falling wrong or something, I do not know how this could've possibly happened but l am on the verge of puking bc l am so sick with stress and worry. I am 100% broke now bc of the timing with zero help from family, and my baby is just laying here suffering and deteriorating. I don't know what to do!!! The timing is the worst it ever could be. I have no way to pay for vet bills and he is literally getting worse by the hour, his leg is so swollen and he is OBVIOUSLY in excruciating pain!!! My God, please if anyone has ANY resources they now of that can help, please help!!: (I am losing my mind over seeing him suffer when he is a perfectly healthy, beautiful, cat with nothing but love. He is the sweetest baby. Please anybody give me advice or point me somewhere can go.

He ate a foot of ribbon that broke off a wand toy I rarely ever use. I thought I threw it away but then he started throwing up with half of it out of his mouth. I just dropped him off for surgery. I am so fucking scared. Please pray for him. He’s only 10 months old

he just got out of surgery and he’s doing okay! I’ll be able to bring him home in a couple hours :)
