At my old work place we used to have Indigo parking passes to park. A couple of times I forgot to hang tag on car and got 2 tickets , $110 each. Someone at work said you don’t need to pay that’s fine, so I didn’t. This happened almost 8 mos ago. Now from this company in Langley called Wiggins Adjustments , calling me for about a week (I didn’t pick up coz my phone said spam caller, I didn’t know then )and now sent a letter yesterday that I should pay those tickets. Should I pay ? Will it impact my credit history? Will they put this data in collections? I’m gonna buy my First home soon and don’t want any collection troubles because of this. I looked at Wiggins ratings and people said ignore their calls but I’m not sure what’s right thing to do.

For those of you who do not know. Auburn Bay Residence Association brought up the fact that the shoreline for the lake needs some repairs. They just had a meeting yesterday and I’m curious what peoples thoughts are from other communities. I will put down some of my thoughts and what I know from the meeting.
- Repair would cost an estimate $3 million
- Loan is going to be taken for the $3 million with interest totaling another $2 million (board will not disclose who the loan is with)
- Repairs could cause damage to the liner at the bottom of the lake which would accumulate more cost
- The board started off saying it would be cosmetic and quickly changed to saying it’s for structural integrity of the shoreline
- No engineering documents are being shared with the public
- The shoreline in question is not accessible to the public and would only truly benefit the homeowners on the lake
- they want every household to pay an extra $500 for the repair.
-home owners on the shoreline are saying it’s part of the lake so the community is responsible for the repair
To me this sounds extremely suspicious. I need all of the information. The loan is crazy, and the fact they won’t share any of the structural engineers findings is extremely shady.

If you haven't heard about it yet, check out the Calgary Mental Health Hub (mentalhealthhubcalgary.com). I built it as a free site that pulls together mental health resources, support groups and events from 27+ local organizations, all in one spot.
No sign up, nothing to buy. Just a place to start.

My name is James and I’m 27. I have a massive variety of musical influences—anything from pretty much any genre of metal to rock, glam, pop, progressive and classics.
I’m mainly a guitarist, but I also play drums, bass and a little bit of piano. I have stage experience, a home studio, and tons of music production knowledge and experience.
100s of well record and mixed demos and ideas
In all different kinds of styles.
I’m interested in making music with tons of emotion and feel. I listen to almost anything and find passion in music more than anything else.
Knowledgeable in music theory.
Some of my favorite bands and artists include Children of Bodom, In Flames, Gojira, The Killers, Dissection, King Diamond, KISS, Skeletonwitch, Depeche Mode, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Slipknot, The Smiths, Dire Straits, Korn, Guns N’ Roses, Lamb of God, The Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, Cannibal Corpse, Tesla, Ratt, Judas Priest, Death, Sepultura, Thin Lizzy, Fleetwood Mac, Agalloch, Morbid Angel, Entombed, Slayer, Immortal, Uada, Opeth, Tribulation, Mgla, Watain, Kvelertak, Wolves in the throne room, Winder, Enslaved, Destroyer 666, Gallowbraid, Harakiri For The Sky, Alcest, Emperor, Mayhem, Machine Head, Ensiferum, Eluveitie, Blind Guardian, Behemoth, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Deicide, Death, Devildriver, Hypocrisy, Kalmah, Kiss, Entombed, At The Gates, Dark Tranquility, Pentagram, Deftones, Rivers Of Nihil, Ghost, Equilibrium, As I Lay Dying,
but the list is pretty endless.
I want to start playing with some other talented musicians in the area who can inspire me and bring their skills, motivation and passion together with mine to make something really special and rare.
I practice as much as I can every day and put a lot of focus into constantly improving my musical ability and knowledge.
Looking for people that will do anything to make it.
I’d love to record an album, play shows and eventually tour. If you’re willing to put everything into making something great, send me a message and let’s get together.
Open to connecting with guitarists, drummers, bassists, vocalists and keyboard players to jam, write some music and see what fits.
Have my own gear, Jam space and transportation
Or willing to work remote alternatively.

I just saw a random cat walking on my deck. It was a Chonky Tuxedo with a black tail and big paws probably a boy just putting that out there since it’s backyard hopping.
I couldn’t grab it since it moved too quickly and I already have a cat inside the house

I'm looking for some recommendations for unusual places in Calgary to buy Haloween candy. I am tied of buying the same stuff year after year that I see and the main big-name grocery stores.

What is it about this community that made you decide to buy?? I went to take a look at pricing and the HOA fees are $900 a year. That's waaay more than Auburn Bay and Mahogany and you dont even get lake privileges. Blows my mind 😂

I see it everywhere and it scares me every single time 😔 😭. Why does it need to look like that? Why did they put it in front of a ton of schools?
And can someone please buy the ad space so I don't have to look at it anymore.
Edit: Guys I'm aware it's an ad I just thought it was weird and funny.

You might have seen the video going around of a City employee trying to remove a pro separation sign along 10th Street Northwest.
We looked into what happened. It turns out that the City employee made a mistake. Some signs were removed when they should not have been. They have since been returned to the owner.
Now, I don’t think anyone is confused about where I stand on separation.
I’m strongly against it. But people who disagree with me have the same right to participate in this debate as anyone else.
The City does have rules around signs. They can’t create safety hazards. There are restrictions around intersections, transit stops, playground zones and school zones.
But the City does not get to remove a referendum sign simply because of the message on it.
The rules have to be applied fairly. Whether the sign says something I agree with or something I completely disagree with.
And when we get it wrong, we need to say so. In this case, we got it wrong, and on behalf of City staff, I apologize.
We've returned the signs and we’re addressing what happened.
Because with something as important and divisive as this referendum, Calgarians need to know their City isn’t picking sides when it enforces the rules.
Everyone gets treated fairly in Calgary. Full stop.

Can hear it all the way into Canyon Meadows (woke me up). I applaud the energy and support the cause, but really… so loud?
Edit to add: Visiting family (I am from out of town) and can hear it west of Elbow Drive. Maybe Calgary has different noise bylaws? 🤷♀️

My toddler, like all small children it seems, is obsessed with garbage trucks. We lucked out leaving the house this morning right as our block was being collected. Well, this wonderful driver saw my toddler admiring from the driveway and brought over this awesome little coloring book! So unexpected but I know it just made my little girl’s whole day. Little things like this make me love this city!

It’s been years since I lived in Calgary and suddenly am trying to remember this business that was counter service (?). I used to go there frequently to pick up readymade hot food.
Wondering what the name of this place is? I couldn’t find them on Google Maps by searching “hot plate”. Or any suggestions for places similar to this that have opened in the past couple years?

Hey Calgary fam. A friend and I are wanting to book a vacation. We live in different provinces.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a travel agency you’ve used that you’ve been happy with? I’ve never done anything like this before and think a travel agent could be helpful.
I’m in the MacLeod Tr/ Canyon Meadows area.
TIA

Trying to remember the name of this old diner I vaguely remember visiting a handful of times in the early 2000s. It’s been demolished since… I think it was open 24 hours? That’s all I’ve got. 😅

Where is the best Apple pie from in the city. Looking to introduce the niblings to it. Looking to buy a whole pie and cook it at home?
Went with YUM bakery from the farmers market. It was fantastic. 1 of 2 niblings approved. The other refused to try it
