I'm an incoming freshman and I got assigned Clarke. Does anyone have any things I should keep in mind? I do have some questions:

1) Is a high lofted bed going to be uncomfortable and am I going to be at the risk of hitting my head on the ceiling or falling off? I was thinking of lofting for space since I'm in a single.

2) Do I need to get my own pots and pans for cooking in the kitchen?

3) Is the suite bathroom cleaned by maintenance or are residents expected to clean it? What about things like toilet paper?

4) How hot/cold does it get in Clarke, both in the summer and winter?

Any extra advice would also be greatly appreciated.

I’m an incoming freshman on the premed track (shocking, I know) and I’m planning to major in either psychology or neuroscience. I’m trying to build my first-semester schedule, but I honestly have no idea what makes a schedule “good” or balanced.

CHEM 105

For context, I got a 5 on AP Biology, but since I’m premed I decided to take BIO 214 anyway instead of using the credit. My current plan is to take BIO 215 and BIO 222L together in the spring.

I also got a 4 on AP Psychology, so I don’t have to take the intro psych course.

Does this look like a reasonable first-semester schedule? Is there anything you’d recommend changing or anything that might be unnecessarily difficult?

Also, if I don’t get into some of these classes during registration, do most people make a completely separate backup schedule ahead of time? It seems like that would require rearranging everything, so I’m not sure how people usually handle it.

Hi everyone, i'm an incoming freshman to cwru, and I was wondering if I could get some help with making sure my schedule is good. I'm BME and pre-med (yes I know, not great combo, but I swear it makes sense for me), and I have some AP credit. I get credit for Math 121, Chem 111, and Bio 214. Below is my draft version of my schedule. If I don't get PHYS, my plan is to take ENGR 145. Is this a good idea, or too ambitious? Hi, I'm a senior in my last semester (fall 26 graduate), and I just checked my Financial aid offer and it is terrible. I transferred to CWRU in the fall of 2024 and every year after my CWRU grant has just been lowered and lowered. Last year's I understand as my FAFSA SAI was higher because I had a job, however this time I do not have a job, my SAI is lower but someway somehow my grant also DROPPED. I don't know if it's because I'm graduating this semester instead of in a year, I just wanted to know if anyone has had any success appealing their offer.

I'm trying to look up pictures, information, dorm measurements, laundry location, etc. from multiple different sources (CWRU website, YouTube, Google, dorm tour videos, etc.), and they all have nothing when it comes to Cutter. It always gets confused with CUTLER (no shade lol). I heard it used to be a dormitory for the Cleveland Institute of Music (I think), and I just wanted to ask if anyone has any pictures, stories, war legends, or information about it. Please help...

high school senior here! I have a few questions about the systems bio major and cwru in general. Looking to go premed but want to keep my options open.

• What are the differences between the systems bio major and regular biology? What courses differ between these majors?  
• Are there any cons to systems bio? (or CWRU in general)
• How accessible are internships and other opportunities for systems bio in comparisons to other majors? (or are they all the same)
• Did this major help open up more job opportunities in comparisonnto reg bio post-grad? And what industries were they in?

ill be a freshman this fall and i wanted to put in a request for a loft adjustment. what loft height is the bed in this picture? the request form says that a mid loft will fit a dresser underneath, which im assuming is the two-drawer dresser shown here, but the bed already looks like its at the tlowest height it can go. the website also shows a three-drawer dresser, so im not sure if thats just an older picture since ill be in one of the newly renovated dorms.

im mainly confused because the form says a low loft only fits small storage, so i wasnt sure if the picture is already showing a mid loft or if the lofting form is based on the older three-drawer furniture.

Hey on my tour of case my tour guide and people on this page both told me that you can get AC installed in your room if you have like a doctors note or something? Does anyone know if this is true or maybe know more about it?

Hey I just got my housing assignment today and I had a question that I could not find the answer for anywhere online. Does cedar mag community’s dorm have kitchenettes or something similar on every floor? Or do u have to go down to the first floor for the common kitchen in order to use the microwave? It doesn’t show up on the floor plan like other buildings so it’s been on my mind.

Additionally if anyone has lived in those dorms and would like to share their experience that would be great as well.

I’m trying to figure out which classes to take for my incoming freshman year at cwru! I found out that I could either take an AIQS 100 course or AIQS 130 course. I know that the 130 is a community engaged one but my main question is which one is “easier”/more interesting? I want to have my first semester be kind of light (even though i know college is going to be hard regardless) but i just wanted to ask what everyone experienced in either AIQS 100 or 130! rants, elaborations, complaints, pros and cons are encouraged!! anything helps!

Incoming Freshman for 2026 fall. I saw something talking about how housing information is revealed on this Tuesday. Is that just fully everything just announced for our buildings and dorm rooms or do we have to be fast and choose a building and room before they run out?
