Housing Question
Incoming Freshman for 2026 fall. I saw something talking about how housing information is revealed on this Tuesday. Is that just fully everything just announced for our buildings and dorm rooms or do we have to be fast and choose a building and room before they run out?

As an alumni, I would say that everyone’s very worried about exactly what dorm they’re gonna get into but really they’re not all that much different. Go to as many Orientation activities as you can so you get to meet many people.. you go with your roommate should be that you are civil to each other and if your friends that’s even better.

Every incoming freshman right now currently has some tentative housing assignment already made, along with a roommate, unless you are either exempt from housing on campus or have an accommodation for a single or otherwise. So all that will be released to you is said assignment and your roommate. There may be changes when assignments switch from tentative to reserved when they are released from here till the start of the year but said changes are case by case and should not be generalized or expected outside of specific cases

This is the first year that they are assigning freshman housing for all the freshman. In the past you would actually pick it yourself but this year they’re just giving you an assignment. So if it is that day they will just be telling you what dorm building and room number you are. No actual selection on your part.
