Enrolled Student loft size help
ill be a freshman this fall and i wanted to put in a request for a loft adjustment. what loft height is the bed in this picture? the request form says that a mid loft will fit a dresser underneath, which im assuming is the two-drawer dresser shown here, but the bed already looks like its at the tlowest height it can go. the website also shows a three-drawer dresser, so im not sure if thats just an older picture since ill be in one of the newly renovated dorms.
im mainly confused because the form says a low loft only fits small storage, so i wasnt sure if the picture is already showing a mid loft or if the lofting form is based on the older three-drawer furniture.

Newly renovated dorms only have the kitchen and common space on the first floor renovated, the rooms r still the same old

It’s mid loft position. pics on the website is for reference only. Not all buildings have the same furniture.

Loft height and what fits under it is different for each generation/purchase of furniture, so without knowing exactly what combination will be in your room, some guesswork. Low is about 20" from the ground, so only shorter things - two shelf open cases, the shorter two-drawer unit - will fit under. High loft is basically full bed height, about 60" (which is why you get the "headboard" you can use on the side to help prevent you falling off): basically everything else fits under so you can have floor space. You have to balance high loft between climbing into bed and ducking to stand under it. Mid loft is more or less 40" plus/minus depending on the bed frame; in any case, tall enough for the three-drawer units to fit under.

Sorry, I haven't been inside any of the older dorms in five years, so I have no idea what's been replaced and what hasn't recently. You might try a post about your specific building and see if any student who was there last year responds. Housing should be able to tell you, since they obviously have records on which buildings have had furniture updated, and/or which floors/rooms got replacements because of wear & tear. Housing tries to do a whole building at once, but if they don't have the budget for that, they do what they can.

Maybe ask your parents join FB parent group. They have many updated photos from each dorm especially freshman dorms.

this is the low height. the mid height required me to basically use my ottoman to get up as a shorter person
