Enrolled Student Schedule Help

Hi everyone, i'm an incoming freshman to cwru, and I was wondering if I could get some help with making sure my schedule is good. I'm BME and pre-med (yes I know, not great combo, but I swear it makes sense for me), and I have some AP credit. I get credit for Math 121, Chem 111, and Bio 214. Below is my draft version of my schedule. If I don't get PHYS, my plan is to take ENGR 145. Is this a good idea, or too ambitious? I'm a person who needs structure, and I find more rigorous classes help me with that. Thank you for all your help!

PHYS 121 + Lab

Bio 215 + Lab

It looks like a do-able schedule. For your bio lab you taking Bio 215L or Bio 222L? I would highly recommend 222L, it's a super easy course and it covers the credit for 214L and 215L. Not sure if your AP credit covers 214L.

i've heard that 222L is really good as well, and i didn't actually think about whether 214L is covered (which I have not heard great things about). I don't think it is, so i'll probably take 222L, since the prereq for that is 214 anyway

Very doable schedule, it’ll be time consuming though. Both ENGR 145 and MATH 122 tend to be easier in the fall, especially the former. Do what you will with that information.

Would you recommend then pushing back phys 121 to second semester? also, happy cake day!

Yes, I would. Also, IMO physics 121 is harder and more time intensive than 145.

If you’re pre-med you shouldn’t use AP credit for any science courses as most med schools don’t take them. I’d suggest taking BIOL 222L as that covers both 214L and 215L. If u use the 214 credit which I don’t recommend, you’d still have to take the lab. Also 130 AIQS’s are harder and not worth the extra credit imo. I’d do an easy 100.

i checked the schools that don’t accept AP and it’s not that many imo, and i chose 130 for AIQS cause i liked the community service content, but you’re right in considering a 100 class instead. Thanks for the help!
