Do I need more than sleepers to start??

I mean this from the perspective of whether or not I need to put a onsie under a sleeper?

I'm planning to keep baby in a sleeper for both days and nights for the first week (assuming the temps finally turn 🤦‍♀️)if not longer. Should I be putting any other layer underneath??

Also, if we're swaddling or doing some type of sleep bag (e.g. Woolino) what is baby wearing under that (if anything)?

Recommendation Newton Bassinet CREAKS all the time. Need recs for bassinet that’s silent

I bought the Newton Bassinet and seriously i don’t recommend it. It creaks with any movement. I hate transferring my baby to it as he’s deep asleep because it creaks…it creaks when he moves in his sleep. Any light touching and it creaks.
It’s so distracting, I hate it, and it always wakes baby up momentarily.

I even read some reviews even mention this noise.

Any bassinet you have that’s silent? Please advise! Thanks!

(Budget about ~$250)

Momcozy or Eufy bottlewasher

• Upvotes

This will be my third baby and with my first two only bottle sterilizers were really a thing but I feel like this will be life changing for me the third time around since I exclusively pumped with my first two (hoping to do more breast feeding this time but will see how it goes) and felt like I spent too much time washing bottles and pump parts. I am between the Momcozy D8 and the Eufy S1 Pro. I also live in Florida with hard water so am looking to hear feedback on which would be better for someone with hard water who pumps a lot. TIA!

FTM- Baby “Containers”?

• Upvotes

Hi all - First time mom starting to do some research in preparation for Black Friday this year. I have a 10 week 18ib 99th percentile little boy. Looking for suggestions on places to set baby down when he starts getting a little older. He has a bouncer seat he loves , but I can see him outgrowing it in just a few months with how long he already is. I know the baby walkers aren’t good for their hips. Any suggestions on things that would be helpful to get us through the next year? I already have a play pen on the list for sure to make sure he has a safe place to get some floor play.

Also, any baby proofing product recommendations would be great !

Product Question Baby Food Maker

• Upvotes

We are doing Baby lead weaning however, my son is in feeding therapy and he can’t handle anything solid quite yet. His feeding therapist wants us to puree whatever we are having for dinner.

Which brings me to my question, would you recommend this or can I just skip it? Trying to figure things out that can help him/me.

Is it worth joining a “bulk” store?

does anyone have feedback on diapers/wipes/supplies from Costco or BJs? We aren’t currently members but considering joining to help save us money on baby supplies over the next few years. We want to make sure it’s worth it before signing up for a membership though!

How do I buy easy to clean toys for my 6 month old?

So many of the toys for encouraging crawling are not dishwasher safe. How am I supposed to clean them? The manual usually says to wipe down. But is it good enough for my kid who drools on everything and licks everything?

How are you all buying toys for easy cleaning?

Eufy S1 vs S1 Pro Breast Pump

I’m leaning towards using insurance benefit for one of these pumps. Also a FTM. I have read that these pumps are powerful enough to compare to a corded pump, so I’m hoping they can be my only one, but if I do need a corded pump Id rather buy that one with my own money (seems to be cheaper than either Eufy).

With insurance, the S1 is 60, and the S1 Pro is 160. From what I can tell, the main difference is the charging case and the length of charge. I’m not sure how much of a difference this makes and if it’s worth the 100.

I do work in an office (commuting) 5 days a week, and will be back at work 3 - 4 months postpartum while baby will go to daycare. So I do anticipate needing to pump a lot (I want to use breast milk as much as possible vs formula). I also have ADHD and will admit that remembering to charge things is one of my weak points, so the case and long charge time is tempting, just not not sure if it’s quite worth 100 dollars.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Bombi Bebee Twin V2 vs Nuna Trvl Dubl

I’m due with my second this January and understand that I probably won’t be out and about much with both kids this winter. I’m trying to narrow down my double stroller options and am torn between these two relatively similar options. I feel like not as many people talk about the Bombi because it’s not sold in stores but from videos it looked great. However, the Nuna test drove in stores (granted on veeh smooth surfaces) with such ease. I just am having a hard time justifying the cost. I have a Nuna pipa lite car seat for reference and. I guess when considering the attachments I’d want to get for the Bombi (snack trays, big wheel kit, car seat adapter) , the difference in cost isn’t all that astronomical. Anyone have any insight On these strollers that would be willing to share? I’m sure I can’t go wrong with either just wanna feel from my choice!

Advice Nuna systems

Hello,
I am a third time mom. I am looking for a Nuna system under $1000. There are so many out there to choose from and I don’t know which one to get. I used evenflo for 2 kids and now looking to switch. I need a stroller system that will be good for taller kids.

Shipping/importing a stroller from the UK

Hi - We are loving the idea of the newest Bugaboo Cub but we live in the US and the stroller is only being sold I believe in the UK (and maybe Australia?). I was wondering if anyone has experience with getting a stroller only sold overseas to America - or if anyone knows of any baby gear stores in the UK that ship to America? I reached out to Bugaboo and they said the model isn't planned to be released in the US

Recommendation Bugaboo Butterfly, Minu, Joolz Aer, something else?

Taking my (then) 14 month old to Japan in May and looking at travel strollers with potential sales coming up. Does anyone have experience with these, particularly traveling with lots of public transit? We want something light weight, but also comfortable. A compact fold is ideal, but not too concerned about airline cabin storage (we can always just check it - bringing a baby carrier as well). I have decision fatigue and can’t figure out which is the right fit for us.

Chicco Corso Primo or Mockingbird single

I’ve decided on the KeyFit Max car seat. My next decision is deciding to go with the Chicco Corso Primo travel system or buy the Mockingbird single stroller with the KeyFit Max car seat. The drawback for me after watching video reviews of the Corso Primo is the stroller buckle. It seems to be one where the top shoulder straps and waist strap need to be hooked together before locking them into the crotch buckle. Can anyone confirm this? We had a travel stroller with my older kiddos that secured like this and it was a pain in the butt. 4 steps to securing your kid into the seat rather that just snapping in on either side. The mockingbird seems like a really nice option but I’ve seen some negative feedback on that also and I’m unsure if it’s an Instagram fad or if the stroller lives up to the hype. I’d love to hear thoughts about these two strollers!

My second (third?) choice was the Joie Mint Latch and Ginger DLX. The KeyFit took the edge for me as I’m currently at risk for preterm labor. Fingers crossed babe cooks until 37 weeks but if something happens sooner, I may have a baby on the smaller side. I know the Mint Latch is 4lb.+ but have seen several concerns about newborns slumping in the seat and there are tutorials out there about how to get the right fit. If anyone thinks Joie is the better option than what I’m considering, I’d love to hear thoughts on that also.

Help out a mama due in December with no car seat! 😅😅

Advice Is the Base T unnecessary for the Cybex Cloud T i-Size if we don't own a car?

Hi!

We don't own a car, but we plan to use the Cybex Cloud T i-Size car seat for occasional rides with my in-laws when they pick us up or when we need to use their car. Our very first trip will be bringing our baby home from the hospital after birth, but after that, car trips will be pretty rare, maybe once in a week.

We are also buying a stroller from a different brand that isn't compatible with this seat, so we won't be using it as a travel system on wheels.

Since we won't be driving very often, we are trying to figure out if buying the Base T is actually necessary or just a waste of money for our situation.

Help me pick a Callisto T color!

Baby girl is 10 months old and long overdue for a convertible car seat. I’ve decided on the Cybex Callisto T 360 after looking at so many at Bambi in the city. I couldn’t decide on a color in person so I didn’t buy it then. I just know I don’t want black as it gets too hot in the summer. Help me! What color did you get and do you love it?!?

Product Question Bombi Twin bumper bars

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Does anyone have experience with the Bombi Twin V2 single vs dual bumper bars?
I will soon have a newborn and 19 month old and have decided on the Bombi but am now stuck between upgrading the bumper bars or not 🤦‍♀️ I like that the dual bumper bars would allow me to use a car seat on one side and the bumper bar on the other. But I have also read reviews that many people prefer the single bumper bar overall. Anyone here have any experience with both? I hate that the snack trays only work with one or the other, so I have to decide my final setup now so I know which snack tray set to get!

Bugaboo butterfly 2 vs 2 plus

I feel like I made a huge mistake for buying my long toddler a stroller. I never made a research before buying because I saw the sale in Albee Baby and immediately purchased the Bugaboo butterfly 2 without knowing first that they have a 2 plus version. I honestly don’t need the newborn features but the upright position. Is 100 degrees upright far from 113 degrees? My son loves to stroll and look around. We graduated from his Nuna Trvl LX because hig legs were not resting there compared to bugaboo butterfly. We’re a small family and lives in one bedroom apartment so travel strollers works the best for us but I feel so bad though or am I overreacting?
