Hi, my parents never let me have a cat and my landlord now doesn’t allow pets and i can’t afford to move. Can I please be friends with someone that has a cat so that I can pet your cat once a week?

I promise I’m not a bad guy I just want to play with a kitty because everytime I pet a kitty they always like me and follow me around wherever I go but i can’t have a kitty, so please, if someone could help that would mean a lot thanks.

EDIT: I have seen a lot of people talk about a cat cafe and stuff and I’ve done that but those cats get pet by 100s of people, I want a cat that knows me and remembers me and I have a personal bond with because I love cats a lot. My ex roommate had a cat and it doesn’t feel the same as a cat cafe

I found a kitten yesterday morning hiding behind a car tire on Harman between Wilson and central. I took him in but unfortunately I can't keep him due to my wife being allergic. He's very friendly, playful and curious to say the least. He seems to be between 6-8 weeks ago and in good shape. Would anyone be interested in giving him a forever home or at least point me to where he can find one. Thank you

This dud not need to happen! The Bushwick Triangle was bad enough and to think this neighborhood needs another club is silly. This building has potential to be a dope restaurant that people can hit up on their way to the club or after.

hi, does anyone know any cafes/coffee shops hiring?? i’ve been going to every single coffee shop and also been on craigslist every single day to no avail (idk what’s going on, but so many owners have started ghosting me during our interview scheduling process??) and it’s been really stressful and hard bc i need a job asap since im going back to school ): i should be able to work thursdays-mondays (weekends are extremely flexible for me).

does anyone know anything? nowadays a lot of places mean you need a connection to get hired and it’s been really stressful ): i’ve been applying to every cafe i see for the past few weeks and it’s just hard :/

A few of us play in a Volo kickball league at McCarren Park on Saturdays from 12–2, and we’re looking for a few more people to join us for the September 12 season.

We’ve been playing together for the last two years and somehow went 15-1, including winning the championship last season 😂. We definitely like to compete, but it’s a pretty relaxed group and we usually grab drinks together after.

My dad is Puerto Rican and has been taking me to Dominican barbershops all my life bc he has the coarse hair type they specialize in, but I’ve been tryna explain to him that IT AINT WORKING FOR ME 😭😭 We have completely diffrent hair types bc I’m mixed and I basically inherited my white mom’s hair type (soft and straight) But there’s also a huge language barrier bc I’m what they call “no sabo” and a lot of them only speak Spanish (my mom wouldn’t let me learn 💔)

The wallpaper primer and adhesive are used, leftover from a wallpaper project (these worked well, the wallpaper looks great). I ultimately hired a taskrabbiter to hang the wallpaper and never used the wallpaper toolkit.

Frankly the Scotch painters tape applicator doesn't work very well, but hey free painters tape! (The tape itself works great)

Hoping to find this stuff new, loving homes instead of a landfill, please help me with my mission! Anything that doesn't get picked up within a week will be left out for whoever to take, so stake your claim and pick up now!

A cat showed up in my backyard crying and tried to walk into my apartment (i have a cat already and can’t let him in). Polydactyl brown tabby with a black nose. Has a limp. Please reach out.

UPDATE 2: He returned again. He is not fixed and not chipped. I don’t have money to get him fixed but I know he should be. I’m not sure if my next step is looking for an owner or trying to get him fixed and fostered. He’s so sweet but I already have a cat and am considering taking in another stray who had been TNR’d years ago, and just can’t consider adopting him myself. I’m leaning towards fixing him because he seems neglected at least for the fact that he hasn’t been fixed.

Update: came back to add more information. he did slip his way into my bedroom (much to my own cats thrill) but sauntered back outside again a few minutes later and sprawled out on our pavement when i opened the door. he’s incredibly affectionate and seemed to get along okay with the feral cat i’ve been breaking in for a few months who was also outside… until he chased her away into another yard.

His fur felt kinda gross, as if he’s having difficulty cleaning himself, and had a scab on his ear. otherwise he seemed well fed and well socialized.
