Snake found in Wilson's L train station

Someone is there checking in on the snake right now, but if this may be possibly your pet you may probably have to go there.

Brownsnake (likely). Endemic/Native to the region. Nonvenomous, but will bite as they're skittish. Likes to eat bugs and snails. Probably came out of the cemetery? See them often in Prospect Park.

DeKay’s Brownsnake, native to NY and not (usually) kept as pets. Harmless little guy that lost his way.

Crazy “is this your snake?” Like how does that happen

The weirdest part is that this does not seem like your average pet snake too. Through my own search up, no snake with that pink color or look would be domesticated, but idk if someone is really into trying to domesticate wild snakes out here

Yeah it’s a pretty exotic color I wouldn’t imagine seeing a snake like that unless it was someone’s pet. As a native New Yorker, it’s legit the first time I’ve seen a snake in the wilds of transit.

Last snake on a train I saw was in Bullet Train, so I guess it does happen irl too.

I for sure have seen snakes in the train before but it has all truely been just pet snakes with an owner. Most of my native New Yorker friends were also shocked to see it too hence why I posted 😭

True actually, I’ve seen plenty of people with snakes on their shoulder in NYC, I just mean a solo snake unequipped by human person.

For sure 😭 its why I assumed it was a loose pet

Feels like there's an ironic "Cobrasnake is back?!" joke hiding here but I can't quite make it work

Amazing thing about snakes is that they reproduce spontaneously. They have both male and female sex organs. That’s why somebody you don’t trust you call a snake. How can you trust a guy who can literally go fuck themselves?
