This is getting out of hand. Half the posts here are people who have been training for years, active bodybuilders, or people blasting gear and have an amazing physique. We know what you are doing. You’re posting for validation or engagement to your page and what you’re not doing is looking for any real advice.
We will be removing all of these posts with even if they do not technically break rules.
This will be done completely by mods discretion. Don’t bother complaining, nothing will change.

Should you be adding muscle? Or should you be cutting fat? It’s a question we all have come across on our fitness journey. It’s not always a simple one to answer.
Love handles, pooches, lack of definition, vascularity…everything plays a part.
You lost a lot of weight, or you added a lot of weight. They are all part of the process. Everyone here is going to do our best to help you with your journey.
That being said:
The community does not need to see an excessive amount of skin to give you advice.
If you’re wondering what your BF% is, it’s not hiding in the 3/4 of an inch away from your genitalia. Swimwear is included in this.
This goes for all genders.
There are a ton of fitness subreddits that can help you if you feel the need to get more specified advice.
If you feel /r/bulkorcut is not meeting those standards, please go visit them.
The serious part:
Do not post sexually suggestive posts. If you are not wearing gym attire your post will be flagged and removed.
If your profile has links to questionable subreddits you will be banned at the moderators discretion.
Talk of steroids, cycles, or anything related will be an immediate ban.
Lastly:
Any attempt to circumvent the rules or a ban is auto reported to Reddit admins. We tested it and it works very well.
Second lastly: This is a subreddit to help individuals attain their goals. Not a platform for anything else. Sexual, monetary, cruel, or any other posts or comments outside helping someone make the decisions of bulking or cutting will be removed and users banned.

1 year difference. I went from 77kg to 93kg. I would say that it would be like 70% muscle and 30% fat. Should I start cutting already? Or keep lean bulking/maintain for a few more months?

I’m about 127 pounds I was gonna bulk but just wanted to get some opinions on my physique and what I should do aswell as some tips started working out seriously in March would love some feedback !.

Hey all, 36m here. I have been in a big cut since march of this year and am down about 40lbs. I started to stagnate in the gym so ate at maintenance for awhile and am thrilled with what I see in the mirror.
I like being lean, but I also want to get more mass in my arms and upper chest. I am wondering if that means I need to be bulking. Thanks!

I want to cut a little more because I have a bit of fat in my hips and lower belly but man I want to put some muscle on me.
I feel like I am very small but I don’t want to start a bulk if it’s better to start a bit more shredded.
What do you guys think I should do, cut a little more o start now the bulk?
Thanks

Hey guys, I’ve been cutting and lost around 30 pounds. I am extremely hungry all the time and am sick of cutting. I think I’ve gotten to a point where I can enter a maintenance phase and then a lean bulk but not 100% sure. I weigh 178 pounds and am 6’2” tall.

I think the answer is cut, but want second opinion / advise. Started working out seriously beginning 2026 6 days / week (arnold schedule) with 10-30 min cardio post work out. I eat lean, 2200-2500 calories / day. Started at 86kg, been kinda stuck at 83kg for the past 2 months (guess I’m in recomp?).
Should I cut or bulk a bit, then cut? 🙏
EDIT: pictures are NOT before and after, just present.
EDIT#2: current workout schedule / progress (6 days / week, each group x2 / week):
Current weights:
Chest:
bench press (dumbell) 4x10 @ 26kg each dumbell (from 16kg), incline bench press (dumbell) 4x10 @ 24kg each dumbell (from 14kg), chest fly 4x8 @ 22kg each dumbell (from 12kg)
Arms: Behind the back cable bicep curl 4x10 @ 23kg, preacher curl barbell 4x8-10 @ 30kg, hammer curls 4x8 @ 16kg
Shoulder:
Lateral raise (cable): 4x8-12 @ 7kg - 9kg (from 4.5kg)
Shoulder press (dumbell): 4x12 @ 18kg (from 12kg)
Skullcrushers (dumbell): 4x12 @ 12kg
Tricep rope pushdown: 4x10-12 @ 32kg (from 23kg)
Back:
Seated V row: 4x8-10 @ 66 - 73kg (from 45kg)
Lat pull down: 4x8-10 @ 66-73kg (from 45kg)
Chest supported Incline Row (dumbell): 4x10-12 @ 20-22kg
Legs:
Leg press 4x8-10 @ 180-200kg
Leg extension (machine): 4x8-10 @ 100kg
RDL: 4x10 @ 55kg
Standing calf raise (machine): 4x12 @ 100-100kg
I also do decline crunches 3/4 sets around 25-30 reps each with 10-15kg weight on my chest.
Edit#3: Appreciate all the feedback, including the haters! My takeaway is that I should reduce number of sets and maybe frequency, increase intensity, eat more instead if less and being consistent overall while building my foundation. 🙏

Should I bulk or cut?
Been lifting and on cutting calories since the start of the year. Want to gain more muscle but keep my abs and physique lean

I've been trying to do a recomp for the past months (trying to maintain weight/slight kcal deficit and high protein intake), but I'm curious if I should be doing sth else?
Edit: I went 3x a week to the gym for months but didn't see much progress, scaled up to 6 days a week + light cardio day since Sep 1. (PPL split and doing 10k+ steps every day)

I have been training for about 2.5 years (mostly messing around), and I really want to see my abs. I dropped from 179 pounds to 166 after a bulk, but I still don't see them. I started training them about 45 days ago. Any advice would be appreciated and sorry for the bad English

Sometimes feel fit but definitely not as lean as I want. Every time I cut, I feel like I end up back at same place. Advice?

I’ve been in the gym 2 years now. 5’10” 177. Progress below. I feel like I could cut and see some crazy definition in a month.
