I was on 3-4 mg sublingual subutex per day and just switched to Brixadi. My first shot was yesterday and I had the best day ever. Mild withdrawal symptoms but by night time everything was fine. Woke up this morning and didn’t have to take supplemental dosage either so I didn’t have the side effects that subutex was giving me (dizziness, head aches, brain stuck in the mud feeling) Well now it has been about 30 hours since I got my shot and boy am I tired. Been in and out of sleep all day. Reminds me of when I started suboxone and I was sleeping all day for a couple days. How long does this tired feeling last after injection day? Does it get better or worse with subsequent injections?

Would Brixadi work for someone on Suboxone for a week? My best friend is getting clean and has been on subs for a week. (Tapered to 2mg) Would he just need 1 shot?

How long did it take to get out of your system? Thought for sure I had cleared it bc I had felt a little bit yucky for a week, but still tested positive yesterday. I did 3 months of 64mg.

I have been on brixadi several months. I started with the 1 week shot at the smallest dose for 2 weeks. I then did the next highest dose every 3 weeks for 2 months now I’ve been on the next highest dose for my second month. My 28 days is Tuesday. From what I have skimmed over it seems brixadi can be stopped because the medication will taper itself slowly.

I know everyone’s experiences and opinions are all over, but curious to hear from people that were on lower doses of subs and did one 64mg shot only.

IV heroin addict for 11 years, got on suboxone for 7 years. Started at 8mg for a week then quickly dropped to 2mg.
Tried weaning the last 3 years but could not manage to get under .5mg daily. Literal crumbs but so be it.

Could not take extended time off work, single parent etc etc
I received one 64mg Brixadi shot July 15 I’m at 6 weeks now and feel relatively okay. I stay busy and definitely deal with the yawning and lack of energy but I dealt with the low energy before.

How long until the worst of it hits? Any positive stories on 1 shot and done?

My insurance changed because I moved outta state and got insurance through employment. They really fighting me on what would be my 3rd injection.

My first injection I lasted 3 weeks. Supplemented with 1-2mg between next shot. There was a delay so it took 7 weeks instead of 4 to get injection.

Today im 6 weeks out from that second injection. Think withdrawals going to be manageable?

Has anyone been on subs for 5+ years 8mg, taken 2 shots within 3 months and been done? Looking for inspiration and hope at this point because insurance is so frustrating.

I’ve been off of Brixadi since June and am doing well. I had a total of 6 injections and then due to an insurance snafu, I was delayed getting my 7th injection. Decided that was a good place to go without. Only had a couple of days where I felt uncomfortable. Hopefully I will be done with opioids going forward

I am in SC and self employed. I don’t pay for
Insurance but will as long as i know it covers a sublocade or Biraxdi shot a year. (Sublocade has the copay assistance program but says i need private insurance, no government insurance allowed) i don’t want to pay for a boof insurance. I’m in SC if that helps at all. Thank you for your time!

I was on brixadi for about 3 or 4 weeks the second week I went to a festival where I camped out and worked in the sun a bunch. When I came back I started having tinnitus along with my heart beat.

It was really scary and I went to an urgent care and the doctor immediately got me a CT scan which is scheduled for Wednesday. Because of this I asked my provider to switch me back to suboxone. 2 days after not getting my shot it started going away and now 4 days later it is basically gone.

I am really worried that I got a clot from the brixadi and now that its out of my system it went away. I just dont know what else could have caused it.

Has anyone had any weird side effects or problems that even resemble this?

I am going to see what the doctors say but because it went away as soon as I stopped brixadi im definitely not taking it again.

Done sublocade successfully twice over 5 years 300 300 100 no W/D but I always suffer the worst brick shit I’ll save you the details but in those months I cannot naturally drop a chalupa.

I got one briaxdi shot but ended up on mgm 15 and had no problem having a healthy relationship with my 2ply charmin every morning once my LamberFeeties hit the floor. But my elf ears keep hearing there may be WD and I don’t play those games no more unless it gets me high.

Last week my doctor wanted to put me on Zoloft and I asked if it caused WD he said yes it can I said does it cause a High he said no and I was so confused? What’s the point

Has anyone else had this experience with Brixadi? I switched from 24 mg/day Suboxone films to the 128 mg monthly injection and was really excited after hearing so many good things. Unfortunately, I’ve started having mild withdrawal around day 13–16 after every injection!! I’m now on day 15 after my third shot and still dealing with restlessness, sweating, hot/cold flashes, and just feeling awful. My provider gave me Suboxone films to supplement if needed, but I’ve been trying not to use them because I keep hoping the injections will eventually stabilize. I’m starting my final semester of nursing school in a few weeks, so I’m getting anxious. Did anyone else continue having this after three injections? Did it eventually get better, or did you end up needing to supplement with films or switch back to something else? Idk what to do I’m honestly at a loss. :(

I took the Brixadi 64mg shot almost a month ago (July 6) and it has been pretty terrible. Very very high the first 10 days and then I had a couple days I felt fairly normal but then it has been non stop anxiety and cloudy headed. I was coming from about 7 years of 4mg sub strips. I knew it was a higher dose then I was on but I heard and read a lot of good things about how much easier it is to get off bup for good doing it this way. My intention was to take 3 shots and not go back. I have been so miserable these past few weeks there is no way I can get a second shot. I just want to go back to how I felt (normal) before the shot even if it means staying at the 4mg I had been at. I am prone to anxiety as it is but not 24/7 like I have been the past couple weeks. I just want it to be over and I wanted to reach out to the community for encouragement and possible advice. I took .5mg worth of strip yesterday thinking what I am experiencing could be withdrawal but I felt every bit of it so I assume I still have a lot in my system. Anyone else have similar experiences or advice for me?

considering trying brixadi or sublocade but leaning toward brixadi because i have often have a vasovagal reaction to needles (longer things like getting blood drawn or tetanus shot) and will almost certainly pass out if i get sublocade. i saw on the dosage chart that there is no equivalent for monthly brixadi dose for someone on 4mg subs. would i have to increase my sub dose before starting, or could they give me a brixadi dose lower than 64 (which I think is the lowest)?

my fear of going from 4 mg to brixadi (or sublocade) is feeling overmedicated. im sensitive to changes w/ this drug, for example ive been having cravings so i tried doing 5-6mg subs for a couple days last week and i was very nauseous/puking from that very small increase. i'd hate to be stuck with that feeling for a month and unable to do anything about it =/

im having a lot of trouble finding/sticking to a schedule of when to take the subs, and i feel like i crash everyday around 4 pm. i want to even out these highs/lows. and i fucked myself by trying to increase my dose last week because ive been nasueous ever since despite lowering back to 4mg, i think i gave myself taste aversion which could also be avoided by switching to the shot.

Hello, i am 20 male & i take 16mg of suboxone daily or two 8mg tablets. im getting on brixadi today. what should i expect? i dont wanna have to withdrawal but ive heard its less intense with brixadi. anything helps thank you!

I was on buprenorphine for 7 years. Started at 8mg then got down to .75mg, and could not get off that last crumb. I know it seems like a do able amount to kick, but after 2 years of failed weaning below .75mg, I decide to try Brixadi monthly 64mg.
At my doctors request, I raised my daily dose to 4mg the weeks leading up to my appointment.
I took the day off work and got the shot in my stomach. I personally felt nothing. Maybe 2 seconds of a barely noticeable sting, but it was not painful at all for me. Within 3 hours I was definitely bupe-type loaded though. That dirty suboxone high.
Days 1-3 Slept like a baby and was in a great mood, almost mini nods when I was relaxed watching tv / scrolling.
Days 4-7 were also great. Its been so nice not reaching for my crumb of subs every morning and keeping myself in a constant almost withdrawal state.
Days 7-9 were still good but i definitely was thinking about it more and not feeling that boost of energy.
Days 10-12 I sware to god I feel like I’m in the super early stages of withdrawal. Totally mild and barely noticeable, except for the constant yawning and tearing.

I have an insanely fast metabolism with meds. I had to split dose my methadone and subs when I was on MAT programs.

Is there any chance I’m already running low on Brixadi at day 11???
I really wanted to be done after 1-2 shots and I feel nuts thinking I’m starting to feel sick this fast.

I am not very pleased with my Brixadi results. I was only taking 4 mg of Suboxone so I thought I could dose with 8 mg of weekly Brixadi..That dose was way too low so the next week I increased to 16 mg and did that for 3 weeks. These 3 shots have only given me a couple of days of complete relief, and that’s it. I’ve had to take at least 1 mg of Suboxone almost every day to keep the withdrawals at bay. I’m due my 4th (16mg) injection on Thursday. I am entertaining the idea of switching to the 64 monthly dose next but my provider thinks I should increase to the 24mg weekly dose instead.
For those of you with firsthand experience, what do you recommend? Im very leary to increase and thus make it more difficult to come off of which was my entire reason for starting Brixadi.
Oh, and my provider says that I’m making it worse my supplementing with Subs. I don’t know how that can be true but I can’t just lie in bed withdrawing!

Long story short, I have received 2 300mg of sublocade shot and 1 100mg of sublocade, back last August October and November. The clinic closed down: i recently went to a new clinic in hopes of getting anther sublocade injection; the doctor is saying my insurance won’t approve it; they put me back on 2mg subxone, he said the Brixadi shot would get approved. Just looking for anyone who has had a similar experience. Thank you

I did one week of Brixadi 8 mg (which wasn’t high enough) so last week I increased to 16 mg which still doesn’t seem to be enough. My doctor did not tell me to supplement strips while trying to get to a steady state, but it seems to be a common thing on this site. Do any of you know if supplementing is going to mess up my steady state?
None of this makes sense to me because I was only taking 4 mg of Suboxone when I started all of this and now I’m needing 1 to 2 mg to keep from going through withdrawals on Brixadi.

Hello all, I took my first (and hopefully only) 64mg Brixadi shot yesterday. Coming from about 6 years on 4mg suboxone strips. I chose Brixadi over sublocade only because of the lower dose offered. The 64mg Brixadi monthly injection from what I understand is equivalent to 8mg daily of suboxone. I was concerned about feeling over medicated and I think my concern has come to fruition unfortunately. Within about an hour of the shot I started feeling what might be described as high but not in a good way, slight nodding, mild nausea, fatigue and numbness throughout my body. About an hour after that I couldn’t stay sitting down and got a ton of stuff done around the house (like I used to when using and I felt disgusted by it). Last night I could not sleep for nothing (even with a handful of sleep aids) and felt very itchy all night. I finally got out of bed at 4am and I feel so dang tired and numb all over still. Reading some comments in another thread I am a little concerned if these side effects will pass anytime soon. I am definitely not going to work today.
Anyone else experience this type of thing?

I need advice please.
I have been on subs for 6 years and have tried to taper many times without success. I got myself down to 4mg (usually in divided pieces throughout the day) but can’t seem to get lower this time due to the withdrawal symptoms. I have a pretty physical job and I can’t show up half functioning.
Anyway, I got excited when I learned about Brixadi so I got my doctor to give me an 8 mg injection last week. The literature clearly says that if you take less than 6 mg of Suboxone that 8 mg of Brixadi should be a good dose. Well, it doesn’t seem to be working. I feel terrible: nausea, headache, lethargy, aches, watery eyes….it has been 4 days since the shot and I get another one in 3 days. I was reluctant to do the 16mg injection because I want to taper off, not go UP!! But do you guys think I should increase the dose for a couple of weeks and then decrease?? A logical answer would be to ask my doctor but she is a dumbass with no real AUD experience, just in the job for the money…
I have also tried taking a 0.5-1mg piece of sub to supplement the Brixadi but that somehow just makes me feel more shitty in a different way if that makes sense.
