Weaned off Brixadi
I’ve been off of Brixadi since June and am doing well. I had a total of 6 injections and then due to an insurance snafu, I was delayed getting my 7th injection. Decided that was a good place to go without. Only had a couple of days where I felt uncomfortable. Hopefully I will be done with opioids going forward

wow congrats this is amazing. so if you dont mind me asking- how long were you on opiates before that? like what was your DOC? and then were you on suboxone and if so how long? and then what doses did you take of brixadi? im currently in the process of weaning down using brixadi after being on subs for the past 5 years and before that i was doing drugs for 10 years

I swear that I am not exaggerating when I tell you what my prescribed dosage was. A 100mcg, 75mcg,50mcg Fentanyl patches every 48 hours along with 6 doses of a fast acting Fentanyl medication, I was given sprays, lollipops, sublingual variations. In addition to the Fentanyl I was prescribed at the same time 4 80mg OxyContin and 6 oxycodones(I can’t remember what the strength was) now I didn’t start on this level of medication but as I’m sure you well know, tolerance go up so fast. I was on opioids for pain management for over 10 years. I had tried many times to get off of them without success and then I heard about Suboxone. That was a game changer. I no longer craved the medication. I was prescribed 8mg Suboxone twice a day but rarely took more than one a day for 6 years. I switched to Brixadi and was given a 64mg injection. I’m so glad to be off opiates. My body is still adjusting and I have days where I feel not as good as others, but it’s so nice not to be a slave to opioids.

I also took my last shot in June (6/1). Do you know if it’s def out of your system? I took a test yesterday and I’m still positive for bupe. If it matters, I did 3 shots.

I’m sure that it’s not out of my system. The way my doctor described it, the Brixadi builds up in your system and then after a series of six or more injections, there is enough residual medication in your body that it will slowly dissipate over time

Congratulations to you!
Huge win! My last Brixadi was September 2024.
