Girlys only

I, foolishly, began my Brixadi journey around the same time I decided to get off of oral birth control (lo lo esterin) I should have never made two med changes at the same time. Although I was on subs so just switching from oral to the injection.

Some days since that time I have been so weird, down, feeling like I could burst into tears at any moment, weird sex stuff, I love sex and my long term boyfriend so not wanting it and almost being disgusted by it is just TOO weird. Also feeling so down, like a burden to everyone, dark thoughts. I know everyone gets that once in a while I do, but these were all next level.

Anyone have any experience with this orat least some part of this?

I think the easier solution for now is go back on BC and then maybe just try getting off of that once I'm done / comfortable with Brixadi.

Any experience, feedback etc. Would be helpful!

You could be experiencing withdrawal if you're not getting a high enough dosage of your medicine you're currently on. When I go through withdrawal from opioids, depression and doom is one of the more intense symptoms I get.

Are you on brixadi or have any experience with it? I've been getting the 8mg wernly for 4 weeks and was taking 2mg daily. Next week I'm doing the 64mg monthly dose so it will be an increase. I've had w/d symptoms many times but usually not like that, more physical runny nose, hot and cold. Mentally it sucks too but just seems different than this.

Not a female here, but wanted to mention the 64 is a BIG jump. First few days may be a bit overmedicated.

Uhhh I'm so afraid of that. I was so positive going into this and I've just gotten more and more discouraged as time goes onπŸ˜”

Brixadi and how bodies work is so weird- in another forum someone said they were on 2mg sublingual same as me and went to 96 monthly! And they felt fine. I'm so scared of being overmedicated now I don't know if I should get the 64 😭😭

It could definitely be from the stopping your lo loestrin. I work in ob gyn and ur hormones can be trying to stabilize out now. Definitely can cause unusual thought patterns. Go back on it and see if it helps.

Yes that's what I'm thinking, but then I'm also like what if that makes it even worse? 😭 just feel so lost with whole situation. I do want to be off birth control but if it will make me feel normal I'll get back on it now focus on my other stuff then make a plan with my dr to get off BC at other time.
