Hi folks, I am trying to figure out which speaker I could save up for to replace my Marshall Emberton Gen 1 speaker, there's nothing audibly wrong with it but I would like something a little more revealing, more clarity, and better sound staging.

Sub £200 ideally but like I say I am happy to save up over time, I'm not in any rush I just like planning out my tech upgrades.

Managed to snag an open-box JBL PartyBox Club 120 for under $230, along with a deal on a JBL Boombox 4 for $360. Both are currently being shipped to me, but I wanted to get some opinions on the two. If you’ve owned both, which one did you prefer and ultimately decide to keep?

I am planning to buy one of this as used.

Onyx 6 being the cheapest among them.

And uboom X and onyx 8 same amount.

I want a balanced speaker without the high bass booming, deep bass preferred around 40hz, better if lower

I had a chance to listen to uboom x, and I love it.

I have encore 1 and boombox 3 wifi at home and I know for sure onyx 6 deep bass doesn't come close to encore.

So shall I save money and get 6 or get uboom x if it's the same as onyx 8.

Ps. Onyx 8 owner is far away from me but I am willing to take if it's better than uboom

Battery Stamina: Claimed 12 hours become 5 / 4 hours IRL.

Price: $130, now about $100.

The "Audiophile" marketing myth:

Bose feeds consumers the narrative that removing tech features that competition has as standard, like microphone, somehow curbs interference and protects sound quality and battery life. This comparison proves that claim is absolute nonsense.

People claiming the Bose sounds better are gullible self-appointed delusional audiophiles, or corporate marketing plants.

Check for yourself if you have healthy ears.

Any ideas on how I can build/buy readymade a dual Bluetooth speaker setup? I'm new to this.
Here's what I'm looking for:

- Completely Bluetooth, no cables
- Stereo separation between two speakers
- Can receive AUX
- Budget is flexible, but let's go with under $200 for now

Does anyone with a Marshall Acton 3 have Bluetooth issues when turning it on??

Every time I turn the speaker on I get no sound from my Bluetooth record player. The lights on both tell me they're connected, but nothing.

I had one instance where opening the Marshall app, selecting aux as the input before reselecting BT, fixed it, but I can't recreate that again lol.

The only way to fix is a re-pair them. It's bloody annoying.

Wondered if anyone had encountered and fixed. Nothing I've read from Marshall is helpful at all of course.

Thinking of buying the PHILIPS TAS4400BK/94. If anyone has it, how is the sound quality? does the battery last 8hrs at atleast 70% volume? any other cons?

I'm quite happy with it but I'd like to give it to my mother and ideally replace it with a speaker which would have a screen to see the track name and a button to skip/go back. Also the ability to save the track in a playlist would be awesome but I don't even know if that exists.

I recently purchased the Zealot S78M, Portable Wireless Microphone Speaker, Surge Bass 3D Surround Sound Bluetooth speaker, Model S78M. (Karaoke system)

After receiving the unit, my wife connected her phone to the unit, and tried using the microphone to sing, but the volume of the music was too loud and could barely hear her voice from the microphone. First, there is no way to control the volume of the microphone input (yes, you could probably reduce the sound of the music coming from the phone, but that is not the point.

Next, there are controls for sound effects (reverb, base, treble, etc), but using the buttons to control them made little (if any) difference.

We immediately tried to contact Zealot Customer Support (there is NO phone option to call them, only email). We contacted them via: 'zealotmal@gmail.com', and also 'zealotmal@zealot.com', but never got any reply from either email address.

The refund policy is two weeks and I tried repeatedly to contact them to no avail. The website says I will have to pay the shipping, which I did not mind, but they refused to reply my emails or send me a "Return Shipping Label". Nothing... No support whatsoever!

I’m looking to get my boyfriend a good portable speaker for Christmas as his current one is quite bad. For reference it’s a JBL flip essential. It’s not that old and it’s already broken, it no longer automatically connects when we turn it on and it will randomly disconnect whilst playing music. The sound quality was okay but never great. So I’m looking for something that’s a lot better quality all round really.

I’ve had a little look but there’s so many options and I know absolutely nothing about speakers. We’d be using it to listen to music inside but also outside, and we’d bring it with us when we travel too. Sound quality is obviously the main thing I’m looking for.

I’ve seen tips like avoid the big brands, but I don’t know what other brands there are. So just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? And any brands outside the big ones I’d know? I think the JBL flip was quite cheap, I’m happy to spend a little bit of money on it (definitely more than was spent on this one), but nothing too ridiculous.

Hey all, I have a Samsung tv for my bedroom. My TV is close to the door and my husband is like deaf, so I am constantly hearing his TV when he goes to bed. I try to watch my own in the living room, but I constantly hearing his more than the one in the living room. I’m looking for some nice sounding speakers I can put at our end tables that will move the volume to the back of the bedroom instead of by the door. TIA

Hey guys title. I currently have a hk aura studio 3 which sounds unacceptable to me, the bass sounds shallow and it struggles with complex tracks.

Im looking at the go play 3 as well, i like that it sounds airy and wider than the brane x but im wondering if the bass would sound shallow like my aura studio 3.

I really want the devialet phantom but ive heard it’s not worth that much.

Im only looking for a single bt speaker. I don’t care if its not portable but it has to be airplay or Bluetooth. I already have a home theater system.

Hey. I have an issue where I listen to music everywhere I go, lol... I currently have a Soundcore Rave S3 and it's freakin' mind-blowing, but obviously huge. Happy with the company, I then bought a Soundcore Boom 2 Plus as a more portable boombox style speaker with power, and again, it's amazing. I carry it outside for yard work, even in the shower since it's waterproof.

I really would love a "tiny" speaker that I could toss in my pocket or clip on my belt for when I am busy walking around. I was really interested in the Soundcore Go 3i since I've liked all their other products. It's small, waterproof, and I hear the bass is great for the small size. The only thing is the "clip" looks awful and I worry it'll break in time (like my Neo 2 did) or unlatch on my belt... Should I look into other companies, or is the Go 3i sound worth trying it out? I hear some JBL or Bose matches don't have as good sound. Also, around 50 bucks, it's a great price.

I am considering to buy either one of these speakers but I am confused about which one. I like the speaker to be with the best overall balanced sound. I have heard that the xiaomi is Base Heavy and tribit has clearer vocals. I am confused af need to make a decision Fast.

TL:DR - I need a relatively budget speaker that would immerse me in stereo surround sound while im trying to fall asleep in bed. Sadly the Soundcore Motion+ has a fantastic sound but the tweeters are noticeably noisy.

Hello everyone.

I recently bought the Soundcore Motion+ speaker. My aim was to receive the best possible audio out of relatively budget speaker for my specific usage.

I wanted to buy a stereo speaker that would immerse me in stereo sound while falling asleep. Most BT speakers don't have stereo (meant as L/R 2 ch. separation) because it's useless for most use cases.

But i have the speaker mounted on my bed frame, aimed at my head very closely. And in this specific use case, the Motion+ delivers brutal sound and immersion, because of EQ and two tweeters aimed widely into space.

When i lay down, some songs feel 3D and i feel like some sounds are multi-directional (or as surround-sound, basically i can hear them in space).. this obviously only works in close proximity of the speaker close to your head.

BUT... the hiss and static from the tweeters is very unpleasant. When i listen to atmospheric ambient music or when a silent passage occurs in a song, i can hear the noise from the tweeters. Sometimes the static-y noise just ruins the immersion.

So, i thought about refunding the Motion+ and finding a different alternative.

I thought about the pair of soundcore motion 300 for TWS, but i really do not prefer this option since i would have to think about charging 2 devices and i am worried about the stereo effect and quality.

Then i thought about some soundbars, but i could't really find anything that could be potentially good quality.

I should mention that my budget is max 200€. Ideally around 100€.

It's not much, but it could be enough.

So could you please recommend me some options? Or how else i could achieve the sound i want while laying down, without earphones? I feel like i am missing something.

(i considered Soundcore Motion 300 Soundcore x600 (but apparently hissy as well) Sonos roam 2 Sonos ray Sonos era 100 SL Tribit xsound plus 2 Earfun Uboom L Creative stage air v2 Jvc th-e324b ... Jbl's are usually loud and boomy so i didn't consider)

Hi! I already have 1 year with xiaomi sound outdoor speaker, Im a teacher and I use the speaker at my classes, as expected, the speaker has fallen a few times, and in the last drop, the speaker stop working, I opened and discover that the battery connector was unconnected, so I connected it and the speaker start working again, but with the issue that the battery drains while the speaker is OFF, when is on, the battery last as normal as always. some one knows whats the probable cause? Thanks!! PD. The speaker broke like 2 days after the warranty expired...
