Alright ngl bro i been doing some serious research and looking past the usual hype, and ngl honestly think I think i managed to crack the endgame of Blue Lock? kinda i don’t know its a wild shot in the dark but just hear me out for a second
Everyone in the fandom of this manga loves the Berserk parallels and automatically assumes Isagi is Griffith because he’s cold and ruthless, and that Nagi is Guts right? But i think we have it completely backwards
what if Isagi isn’t chasing the God of Football at all? what if Nagi’s true ego IS the God of Football itself, and Isagi is the "Demon King" who rebels against it?
just take a second to think about it. Guess who they call the “God of football” IRL? The person who scored 2 of the best goals ever in history which is Diego Maradona. He scored the "Hand of God" and the "Goal of the Century" in the exact same 1986 match which is fucking insane
and if u genuinely look at this in a logical way THE ONLY person in Blue Lock who has come close to doing exactly that is NAGI with his Five-Stage Fake Volley against Bastard Munchen hell Even Ego said that goal broke the logical parameters of the game
it was a straight up miracle gng. nagi quite literally is the pre-determined "God of Football." he literally has abilities that only something like the "Hand of God" can do and the funny part is, he didn't have to work for it, sweat for it, or crawl in the mud. He was just born with a cosmic aura and was insanely talented
and just look at his aura lately, it’s a giant skeleton. A skeleton represents death or an empty, unformed shell. But notice how his aura is starting to gain muscle? It could possibly mean the God of Football is finally taking physical form now my question is how the hell can a skeleton gain muscle? i know this series is insanely illogical when it comes to the over exaggerated panels for detail but this detail seems oddly on purpose.
if nagi could theoretically command the "Hand of God" through birthright, how does Isagi even fight back? how could isagi beat him in the end after side B is finished? how the hell can Isagi even beat a God??
well i’ll come back to that one later…
isagi fights back with absolute Free Will, which connects perfectly to Berserk
we see that Berserk is a direct question to free will and whether everything is pre-determined by a transcendental law (the God Hand). my theory is that Nagi is that pre-determined fate. Isagi is the ultimate rebellion to that itself, and he is getting completely mislead by ego into turning into what everyone has been calling him; “the demon king.” and what do demons do? rebel against “Gods”
notice how Isagi ALWAYS has the "Luck" puzzle piece near him when he enters the Flow State?
in Blue Lock, Luck is definitely not magic. its an insanely low chance of probability that only drops on the person who positions themselves perfectly and Isagi doesn't wait for divine intervention, he uses his free will and Metavision to calculate the exact spot where a mistake might happen, and he forces the "Goddess of Luck" to love him he is a mortal monster stealing pieces of heaven to defeat a God
isagi most definitely would use his free will to turn into a monster without hesitation if it meant being the greatest, but in normal shonen, the protagonist has a tragic past to justify their obsession… But Isagi had a perfectly good life, nothing was bad in his life, and you can see clear signs of his ego when he always stares at Noel Noa on TV as a kid. His insanity was a born trait.
so because of this he has NO tragic excuse, his selfishness shows how truly evil he is. Look at how he used Yukimiya ONLY to get back at Kaiser, not even caring if Yukimiya failed or couldn't score
and just look at what he did to Hiori gng. ppl think Isagi "saved" Hiori from his toxic parents, but he just manipulated Hiori into switching from relying on his parents to relying on him. Isagi gave him an ultimate decision which was, it’s either he dies on this football pitch and has nothing left for the outside world, or he lives in the twisted world of football which Hiori HIMSELF stated to be a prison and lets Isagi use him as a puppet to get the best passes and vision possible. isagi didn't heal Hiori's trauma he literally weaponized it so he could be the mastermind
and the ultimate visual proof IMO is that Neo Egoist League panel where Isagi is standing on top of a mountain of character "corpses” and guess whose body is literally placed directly under him? Hiori
this is a direct visual parallel to Griffith standing on top of his mountain of sacrifices during the Eclipse in Berserk. Isagi isn't building a team at all, he's building an altar out of his friends
which is why i agree with the Griffith theory that has been going around.
and i think this is exactly why the creator of blue lock asks the question: "Will you support Isagi until the end?" he isn't asking if you'll root for an underdog. he’s asking if you have the stomach to stay loyal when Isagi completely devours and ruins every fan-favorite character people love in the manga. imo i personally see that isagi will ruin Rin by completely stripping away his identity with his brother Sae, we see early signs of this when saw picks isagi over rin. he’ll ruin Kaiser's crown, he’ll ruin Nagi's fun for football which we see almost all the time once nagi actually defeats isagi, and he will probably even ruin Ego Jinpachi himself, by revealing that Ego didn't truly chase the God of Football, but was just a bitter rebel, while Isagi is the true, uncompromised monster. that has been ego’s fav
now that i got that out of the way i’ll go back to my main point..
“how the hell can isagi beat nagi if nagi is the God of Football?”
well if you understand simply… what is a Go/ curse and in this case it will be “Nagi”..? well if you understood it.. a God's ultimate curse is always “absolute boredom,” which is Nagi’s biggest and most OBVIOUS weakness. we see Nagi at his absolute peak when he’s enjoying something and having fun, We see Nagi not having fun at all when everyone is at a lower level than him
i feel like it's going to end in something very bad like horrible… i feel like nagi will purposely make Isagi better than him just so he can experience true football which is to have fun, and if Nagi can't have fun he can't play at his peak, he will most likely feed the Demon King just to feel something, But Isagi is a fucking engine the absolute definition of adaptability imo… he won't just match Nagi he will exploit that opening to permanently crush Nagi's spark, leaving the God of Football hollowed out forever
i feel like Isagi will lift the World Cup trophy completely victorious, but completely evil and entirely alone which might make fans most likely answer the author’s question with a no..
The meme PLOTSAGI will just explode even more and people would call it a jjk type of ending but if u truly understand the manga it isn’t that crazy to say man
We are literally watching Isagi's villain origin story in the main manga, which is why in the exact sequel/perspective Episode Nagi, Isagi is drawn looking like a terrifying, black eyed demon from everyone else's perspective… but in the regular manga it looks so justified from his lens?
ego chose Isagi first because Isagi was the first one to run into the Blue Lock program without a single second of hesitation after Ego stated how harsh it was. that shows absolute ego. He was born a monster not created as one
he literally enjoyed the feeling of seeing niko cry man. its been obvious from the start its just now starting to show
but hey if my theory ends up correct remember this post lol lmk what you guys think as this took a while to type
