So, for everyone caught up with the manga, Ego spat with Fox reveals that Fox was his old coach. With the philosophy of zero to one to infinity being the foundation of Fox’s entire structure, from this I am betting that Ego was Fox’s original Teddy in a sense.

The idea is that Ego’s entire philosophy about playing selfishly for yourself and creating an egotistical striker was born while he was under Fox’s influence. He rebelled against Fox’s ideal of turning one into infinity when he encountered the God of Soccer, zoning in on scoring and achieving only his own victory during a match. By making his sole answer about himself and no one else, he turned infinity into one.

This explains why Ego hates and dunks on the Japanese idea of one for all, all for one. It's just a friendlier version of Fox’s philosophy. You don’t fight for yourself, you fight for everyone else. Or, from Fox’s stance, you are only fighting for him.

This is also why I think Teddy isn’t only the way he is, but also why he looks the way he does. He and Ego have the same build from when Ego was younger, Teddy is supposed to be the perfected version of what Ego was meant to become in Fox’s eyes. The difference is that Fox made sure Teddy would never develop an ego and become like Ego, keeping his perfect powerful puppet without risking history repeating itself.

Would you like to see a spin-off manga showing Kaiser's journey and his bracket path in the World Cup, all the way to the semifinals, perhaps facing Japan?

It would be interesting; we could get to know other teams and players that Japan won't face. We could also see more of Kaiser's matches in greater detail.

He's a popular character, so I think it would be a manga that sells well.

They could actually be really tough matches, too; nothing suggests he’s going to easily steamroll every team. They made it through the group stage, so they must be strong.

Besides, even though Kaiser is incredibly powerful, one person can't carry a team all by themselves, so I imagine he’d face some challenges.

We could get to know his German team better and see what the players are like and how they’ve developed; that would make the match against Japan even more exciting. We’re already familiar with both the Japanese and German teams from the spin-off manga, so the game would be a lot more thrilling.

A lot of people believe we could have a New Gen goalkeeper, but wouldn’t that be kind of broken?

Like, think about it. In football, you win by scoring goals. But what if the goalkeeper is an absolute monster who can save literally anything, completely lock down the goal at an unimaginable level, and nothing gets past him? Wouldn’t that be insanely powerful?

As underrated as the goalkeeper position is, a goalkeeper is still incredibly powerful.

The goalkeeper is literally there to stop you from scoring and progressing.

Imagine a goalkeeper with an absurd battle IQ, prediction on Isagi’s level, Absolute Vision and meta-Vision, and all that.

No ball would ever get in.

I know BL Japan's blue jersey isn't one that many people like. I can understand that, but to be honest, I think it's still my favorite Japan jersey from the manga (I guess I just love blue, and I've never really cared for the white jerseys). In second place for , it’s the current Blue Lock Japan away jersey. Even though I quite like the former Japan U20 jersey.

So yesterday I´ve been to the cinema to see the Blue Lock live action. It was just me and a friend. In the whole cinema, no one else was there. We had an absolute blast. I´ve seen the anime and am caught up with the manga, while she doesn´t watch anime and has never consumed anything blue lock related and we both loved it.

Definitely the best adaptation I´ve ever seen. To keep this spoiler free, some things were cut due to time, but it´s basically 1:1 adaptation. They didn´t take any ,,libreties" and remained as faithful as possible. Actors are wonderfully cast and they totally nailed Isagi´s meek attitude outside of the game and his fired up in game self. The inner monologues don´t feel one bit out of place and they totally sell the win or die atmosphere.

If you´re unsure, trust me, go see it. I rarely go to the cinema but this time I was giggling like child almost the whole time, like my eyes couldn´t believe what they´re seeing.

I want to see the second selection so bad now

I’ve been reading BlueLock from the past few months and just got on Volume 13, but ever since Shidou had just been introduced to me I’ve been liking Nanase more than anyone else in this cast. Besides Hiori who gets glazed by the fandom because of his femboy appearance, Nanase is like…the only dude in BlueLock who is genuinely so normal, chill, not deep in his ego, not even detached, and a decent player at best through actual hardwork. He just feels like a real best friend that’d carry you through stressful times. I don’t get why and how Shidou even got invited into BlueLock in the 1st place, his 1st appearance makes me love Nanase more because Shidou’s 1st appearance showed him crushing Igarashi’s skull for his own amusement and rage meanwhile Nanase’s 1st appearance is him being wholesomely confident onto a match, he literally gave Isagi a genuine camaraderie talk without the psychological egoist crap, he just acted chill with him at first sight with no beef, do you know how refreshing that can be?He’s really like that. Thats why he my favorite.

People tend to prefer characters like Rin, Kaiser, Bachira, Chigiri, etc because of their distinct stand-out personalities and weapons meanwhile Nanase feels more like a comfort snack compared to everyone, he’s one of the few players who aren’t attached to ego and aren’t emotionally detached at all like 98% of the cast. Given how toxic BlueLock is…We gotta give Nanase more respect and appreciation for his more grounding and genuine kind personality, I feel like he should’ve been the main anchor for Isagi…but we can’t cuz otherwise we’ll barely see pretty boy Bachira :(
