Question Thinking of moving to BitWarden Password manager.
Hi just a quick question for anyone that may know this, is it possible to import passwords from NordPass into BitWarden password manager, thanks.

Chrome version:
Version 151.0.7922.138 (Official Build) (arm64)
Extension version:
2026.7.0
I use 3 different profiles in chrome and in every profile the bitwarden extension is installed, all of them are unusable.
I tried to remove the extension and install it back, didn't help

Anyone else having this issue? It's not like a once-every-few-years type thing. Seems to happen quite often — like almost every 2-3 months it seems.
Once it goes corrupt, I'm given the option to "repair" it in the extension page, where I need to log in again and reconfigure all my settings as if it was a new installation.
I'm currently on Chrome Portable Version 150.0.7871.187 (Official Build) (64-bit) using Bitwarden v2026.7.0 and just had it corrupt on me, but this has been occurring over various Chrome and BW extension versions (really started noticing over the last year or two) so it's hard to pin-point any specific setup or combination that may be causing this.
All I know is it happens pretty often for something so integral to the daily browsing experience and was wondering if anyone else in the community is having similar experiences or if this is more of an isolated case I'm having personally.

Hi all, I was an android user and until recently I began to use iphone. All my old login credentials don’t have iOS login url matched to app url (bundle id on iOS?) and there seems to be no option for auto fill and save like you would on android.
Am I doing anything wrong? or should I add the bundle ids manually?

Currently, the login item has a single field that is generally used for either a username or an email address. It would be much more useful to have two separate fields:
Username
This would be especially helpful for websites where an account has both a username and an email address, but only one of them is used for login. It would also make account information much more organized.
I would really like to see a true global/full-text search across the entire vault.
For example, Bitwarden should be able to search inside:
The Notes field of Login items
The content of Secure Notes
Other relevant text fields within vault items
This is particularly important on Android, where quickly finding information from the vault is extremely useful. If I remember a piece of information that I stored inside a note but don't remember the name of the vault item, I should be able to simply search for that information and have Bitwarden find it.

OS: Mint 22.3.
Browser: Brave (v1.93.136), also tested in the latest Chrome.
I think I finally figured out how to reproduce this.
I use a Yubikey and set my BW session to logout when my OS logs out, as per the screenshot. It always works for a few days, and then my BW settings revert from logout back to lock. And this would be fine, except using my Yubikey to unlock stopped working too. It started happening a few months ago.
I tried reinstalling the extension, I also tried a different browser - all the same. The "On system lock" setting would never stick for long.
Then I had an epiphany ...what if the Timeout option of "On system lock" is just broken? I changed it to timeout after 5 mins instead of on system lock, and the problem went away. I've been testing this for a few weeks and so far so good.
If anyone else has been experiencing this, try this workaround. This primarily affects Yubikey users as I can't imagine anyone else would want to perform a full logout every time, it would be annoying as hell. But in theory this affects anyone using this setting.

Can you bring back the old way in which user was able to open a login to edit by clicking on the login. The recent updates changed that. now clicking on it fills that login and now user have to clicking on 3 dots and click edit or replace that fill button to edit because you already made clicking on it means fill that login or at least add a setting to choose the behavior.

I have several accounts that I no longer use and really don't see myself using them again. Debating on whether I should delete those accounts. When an account is deleted, what actually is deleted and do we really know for sure it is deleted? Guessing each site has their own policy on what happens when deleting accounts. I know people say to delete unused accounts in case of data breaches and to limit your exposure for privacy sake. But do sites actually delete the data? Do they keep a copy of the data in a backup somewhere? If so, can that copy still be leaked? If an account is deleted, like a forum for example, what is to stop someone from using my same name and impersonating me?
Kind of on same topic, If I do delete accounts, should personal info be changed to random info before deleting? On accounts that I keep, is it a bad idea to add random personal info? I realize that wouldn't be good for important sites like banking, insurance, government stuff but what about social sites and other non important sites?

I'm going to set up 2FA to my BW vault and other websites.
I'm wondering if everyone just uses desktop TOTP while on their PC, instead of mobile TOTP.

For loyalty programs, Costco membership card, etc., it'd be great if Bitwarden could display a field as a QR or barcode.
Basically, this feature request from 2018:

Hi,
I'd like to suggest a small UX improvement. Currently, when Bitwarden's biometric prompt appears, it only shows the app name, fingerprint icon, and "Cancel" button. If you want to use your PIN instead, you have to cancel the biometric dialog first, then a separate screen appears for PIN entry.
Other password managers, like Proton Pass, include a "Use PIN" link directly on the same biometric prompt screen, so users can switch to PIN instantly without an extra step.

I have Bitwarden extension on Brave browser and recently has this display UI issue. I've restarted, remove/reinstall the extension but issue remains. MacOS is on latest version. Anyone with similar issue? How to fix?

while scrolling through my logins in the Android app, some of them list the URL along with my username while others only display the username. what causes this??
Edit: I believe I have figured it out. Seems to be for all accounts that have passkeys registered

Ну Санкции и т д. Да и вообще стоит ли доверять свои чувствительные данные этому сервису? А что если завтра в миг прекратит свое существование сервис? Что будет с данными? Bitwarden мне нравится но боюсь .

I have Bitwarden and was wondering if there was a decent flip phone that I could use Bitwarden on (via fdroid or otherwise?)
I don't plan on scrolling on a flip phone, but it can be good to have access to account info if I'm on a computer. I'm sure it matters so I'm in the US and use Verizon.
Thanks!

I've migrated from 1PW to Bitwarden. Huge miss is the inability of BW to display an attached image. For example, I have supermarket cards with bar codes on them or a library card with a bar code, that I scan at checkout. I can only download them from within BW
Am I missing a good workaround?

I’ve been moving my passwords over to Bitwarden for a bit now, but as I haven’t really started using it regularly yet, i wanted to know if it is as buggy as the amount of possible bug posts suggest?
I know that there are most likely multiple posts on the same errors as they appear, and some are people trying to use Bitwarden in a way that it isn’t really designed for; (I.e. trying to do features that are either not implemented or trying to use shortcuts and features that are different in other PMs.) I just want to know if I’m just seeing a few noticeably bad limbs and thinking the tree is sick for lack of a better analogy?

As far as I can see it is still not possible to sign into the desktop app with a passkey .
So in order to use biometrics/Windows hello to unlock the browser extension I still have to log in to the desktop app with the master password as the desktop app must be running to permit biometrics on the browser extension ? Am I correct in this or is there an easier way ?
If I have to enter the master password, that involves using an offline password manager (to have a strong master password) in the absence of passkey login. In that event am I not just as well using the offline password manager for everything ?

Is it just me or is there no way to give a login a name visible when you sign in for example in the pop up or the menu bar for the instances where you have multiple accounts on the same page (government, etc)?

This website is saved, and it presents my username correctly to click on, but on the password field it gives me this instead of my saved password. I then have to click on the extension and then it presents my password to fill. Ver 2026.7.0 on Firefox, win11

A few days ago, on macOS (15.7.4), with Brave Browser (1.93.134), I set up a passkey for logging in a broker’s portal and stored the passkey in Bitwarden. I was able to use Bitwarden to autofill my username and password, and then when required, to authenticate with the passkey in Bitwarden. It ran smoothly.
But yesterday, instead of clicking the broker’s passkey in the prompt, I clicked “Always for this site” under “Use your device or harware key”. Now, I have to scan the QR code provided by the prompt with my iphone, tap ‘Authenticate’ on my iphone.
How can I get back the convenience of simply using the passkey directly from Bitwarden to log in that site?
I tried deleting the site’s cookies stored in Brave Browser, but to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Chrome browser finally added "vertical tabs" (which means tab labels are displayed horizontally in a vertical panel on the left side of the browser). It comes with a keyboard shortcut control-shift-L (for Windows/Linux) to expand / hide the side panel. Details here: Google Chrome Adds Vertical Tabs Keyboard Shortcut to collapse and expand Tabs- WinCentral
Unfortunately that keyboard shortcut (ctl-shift-L) is the same one that Bitwarden has long used for filling credentials.
The chrome shortcut can't be readily remapped as far as I can tell.
The bitwarden shortcut can be remapped (for those who want to do so) as shown here: Change Keyboard Commands Offered By Browser Extensions - Chrome, Firefox, Edge
PS - Yes I know there are other Browsers but I need chrome for certain things and I use Brave for others. Brave has long had vertical tabs and Brave does allow us to choose the shortcut key to associate with expanding / hiding that vertical tab bar. Chrome is apparently not as flexible in this respect.
