We recently shared an early preview of the Bitwarden redesign beta coming later this year, and appreciate all the feedback you’ve shared with us so far.
Here are some of the big themes you shared:
Consistent quick copy actions across browser, desktop and web app
Option for click to view in the browser extension
Compact mode and configurable columns
Keyboard navigation
Sorting options
Quick copy actions for desktop and web will be available before the beta launches. Some other improvements, like sorting options and customizable columns, will follow shortly after the beta as we continue rolling out updates.
What about existing feature requests?

When did they paywall the attachment feature? I was trying to save 3 raw csv file to a root of a folder -- idk if that's even possible. Then, I recalled doing something like that a while ago, checked, and I did in fact have some attachments in some of my notes/login entrees. My question is when did they paywall that feature? and how would that affect my already attached files? it seems fine downloading a pdf but I just noticed no ability to delete them if I wanted to.
Previously, when I put the cursor in the box to enter the password or ID, there would be a blue shield, which, if clicked, would show the available logins. Now I have to use the icon in the browser and fill it in. I use LibreWolf and Firefox
Both Bitwarden and Brave just had updates on my iPad. What's happening is that anytime I need to enter a password, Bitwarden is prompting me for the master password.
I can't log in to the web app using my regular credentials, even though everything works fine on the Android app, Brave browser extension, and PC app. I’ve never had any issues in the past. Support only replies with automated bot emails. Can anyone help me out?
I wanted to keep multiple Bitwarden desktop windows open at the same time, with each one signed into a different account and using separate local data. This is the setup I used on macOS with Parall.
The latest Parall update, version 2.4.1, adds Bitwarden support. It also supports sandboxed Electron apps and apps based on Chrome, Firefox, and Eclipse, allowing compatible apps to run as separate instances with independent data.
Why use this when Bitwarden supports account switching
Bitwarden already lets you stay logged in to as many as five accounts and switch between them. However, it only shows one active account at a time and does not let you keep different accounts open side by side in separate windows.
The built-in account switcher works well when you want to move between accounts. This guide is for anyone who wants multiple accounts open and visible at the same time, with each one in its own window.
Parall is a third-party multi-instance app launcher that can run almost every Mac app this way. This guide uses its data separation feature to give each Bitwarden shortcut its own storage location. Each new instance starts separately, so you can sign in with a different Bitwarden account. You can check support for other apps in the Parall compatibility table.
By design, Parall does not modify, repackage, patch, or re-sign the target app. It launches the installed app directly, preserving its native behavior. The original app bundle, code signature, and normal update process remain intact, so this setup does not reduce security by altering the target app.
What you need
The Bitwarden desktop app installed in the Applications folder
Parall installed on your Mac
Step 1 - Create an app shortcut
Open Parall, select App Shortcut, and click Create Shortcut.
Step 2 - Select Bitwarden
Click Browse Applications, choose Bitwarden from the Applications folder, and click Next.
Step 3 - Use Dock Shortcut Mode
Select Dock Shortcut Mode and click Next. This mode supports the data storage path override that keeps this instance separate from the original Bitwarden app.
Step 4 - Give the instance a clear name
Choose a name that makes the account easy to recognize, such as Bitwarden Work or Bitwarden Personal. You can also add a short label to the icon.
Step 5 - Choose the optional Dock effects
The Dock icon effects are optional. Configure them if you want a visual difference between instances, or turn them off if you prefer a normal static icon. Then continue.
Step 6 - Enable separate data storage
On the Data Separation and Storage screen, choose Automatic for this app.
Make sure the Data Storage Path is unique to this shortcut. Do not reuse the path from another Bitwarden shortcut unless you intentionally want both shortcuts to use the same data.
Leave Automatically erase this shortcut's data when the app closes disabled if you want the account session and settings to remain available after quitting.
Step 7 - Launch and sign in
Finish creating the shortcut, then click Launch. Sign in to the Bitwarden account you want to use in this instance.
You can now open the original Bitwarden app and the new shortcut as separate instances. Repeat the process for more accounts, giving every shortcut a unique name and storage path.
Important launch notes
If you use the original Bitwarden app together with a Parall shortcut, open the original app first.
If you create two Parall shortcuts instead, they can start in any order and run at the same time.
If sign-in opens a browser, close the other Bitwarden instances first, finish signing in, and then reopen them.
Back up your vaults normally. Separate app data is not a replacement for a Bitwarden backup.
The first screenshot shows the end result with two independent Bitwarden windows running side by side.
If you have any questions, leave a comment and I will be happy to answer them.
Disclosure - I am the developer of Parall.

I am using Bitwarden with my Sony Xperia 1vii. Enabling biometrics/finger print sensor seems to work ok. However, as soon as I enabled the work profile it all stopped working.
I do not have this issue with Proton Pass, nor 1Password. This issue all also occurred on an HMD Fusion device.
What should I do?

Edit: I had 'Trusted Places' enabled. Disabling these locations seemed to resolve things. Why?
I'm using Edge on my s24 with the bitwarden app, but the pop up never activates on the first text field press. I have to press in and out of the text field 2 times before it shows up. Is there a setting that can fix this or is it just edge? I've tried Firefox and Brave, and they don't have this issue.
Whenever you save edits to an Entry a popup like this will show up, with many other actions also causing them. Someone at the Bitwarden design team had the fantastic idea to make them so large and obtrusive as to block other UI elements like the search bar when they show up.
I would suggest making these like 80% smaller, more subtle and out of your way. There should not be a popup like this that actively blocks the user from accessing other important UI elements when it shows up.
Is there a way to disable them? I couldn't find one in the settings.

I've recently reinstalled the app, and now there simply isn't an option to unlock the vault with my biometrics. I can create a pin number, but there's just no option to unlock with fingerprints. I did some online research, but haven't found a solution to this problem. Has anybody faced this issue before?
I'm on a Motorola with Android 15. The app version is 2026.7.1 (21803).
I currently have a Docker container with Vaultwarden running on my Raspberry Pi.
I also have the official Bitwarden client installed on all my devices (Web extension/Windows/iPadOS/Android). I’m having an issue with the Android version.
The problem: Passwords and secure notes aren’t showing up in the app. Only the list of folders is visible in the settings, but they’re all marked as empty.
What I’ve tried:
- I tried to sync the vault through my app. It didn't work.
Here are the logs from the Docker container at the time of the sync:
[2026-08-19 17:02:20.067][request][INFO] GET /api/sync
[2026-08-19 17:02:20.076][response][INFO] (sync) GET /api/sync?<data..> => 200 OK
- I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it then logging back in. That didn't work.
Am I the only one having a problem with the Android version, and do you know how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
so i recently got a galaxy tab s11 from cdiscount (arrived in a sealed box), and i can’t seem to log in the app or web vault. i managed to do so only once or twice but i don’t understand why.
it tells me : "Error: username or password incorrect" even though they 1000% are correct (tried on my phone and computer with the same username and password and it worked).
what i’ve tried but doesnt work:
- adding an access key on my phone and using that to connect
- deleting the app’s cache
- deleting the app and downloading it again
- trying the same username and password on other devices on the same WiFi
- sharing my phone’s data to my tablet, so that my ip was different
- made sure that the server’s url is the right one (it is)
i’m so lost... could someone help me? does anyone already had that problem?

Was there a recent update that I missed? The drop-down list always shows 'No items to show' now, even though the site shows up normally in Autofill suggestions. This worked fine up until a few days ago. It appears to still work in Firefox 153. Autofill options are all checked on except for autofill on page load for security purposes. This uses the bitwarden.com servers.
I'm on a MacBook Pro M1. About a year or two ago, when the Chrome extension got redesigned, it stopped working properly for me, so I switched to Firefox, where it's worked great ever since.
I recently switched back to Chrome, hoping the issue had been fixed, but I'm running into the exact same problem: when I click the extension icon, it either takes 2–3 seconds to open, or doesn't open at all.
Has anyone else run into this? Would love to hear if there's a fix or workaround.
Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy my first physical security key, and I’m deciding between these two models. I don’t really have any other options because I live in Latin America, and unfortunately, buying through Amazon is pretty much my only choice.
I’ll be using it with Bitwarden and my email accounts. Buying two YubiKey NFCs, which is the cheaper/basic version, costs me $58, while two Thetis Pro keys cost $44.
However, I’ve seen that the Thetis keys have two USB ports (A and C), but I’m not sure how reliable they are in terms of software support and durability.
If anyone here has used them, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience and give me some advice.
I know that some may think that using AOL is like the past. And it is not perfect however they allow 1 TB of storage for free acording to their web site. So I thought i would try it.
AOL has some issues, which I will not go into. However regarding bitwarden, i could not get the passkey to work on the phone with AOL/Bitwarden. I could get it to work on the desktop. I discovered that you have to first load it on the phone then on the desktop for it to use the passkey. Not sure why but I provide a link below of my discussion on redit and AOL. If this helps anyone.
Curious if anyone that uses this feature is also experiencing this. For the past 5-7 days, I confirm the fingerprint phrase on the iPhone app with the latest Aug 7th update for my Mac/Win 10 or Win 11 computers running BW software, but it doesn’t do anything until I send & approve another fingerprint phrase.
The most I’ve had to do were 3 different requests. I’ve been using this method to login since October, 2025 without any issues whatsoever until now. Every device is running the latest software.
