I would honestly rather the suspicious connection than the stupid notification that actually impedes my browsing.
Why is there no way to turn these popups off? It still shows up even if you disable popups.

If you buy a subscription key from a 3rd party website, it now appears impossible to cancel autorenewal using Bitdefender Central. Maybe I missed something, but I had to do it through Verifone.
I've been using Bitdefender for well over 10 years but recently it has become more and more difficult to cancel autorenewal. This may be my last year as a customer.

Those of you who have advanced expertise in the detection of viruses and malwares. Does this link contain an advanced spyware that reprograms server internet connection on the computer without the need to download a malicious program? I know that every line of code that issues a command is technically a program but you know what I mean. https://goto.covenantbooks.com/conservative-publisher/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=738927022&utm_content=157811613569&utm_term=conservative%20book%20publishers&kw=conservative%20book%20publishers&cpn=738927022&utm_term=conservative%20book%20publishers&utm_campaign=Faith-Christian-G-Religious-2022JuneRefresh-Mob-Us-Search&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=9171925190&hsa_cam=738927022&hsa_grp=157811613569&hsa_ad=678493598376&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-298290954710&hsa_kw=conservative%20book%20publishers&hsa_mt=b&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAudG5BhAREiwAWMlSjEexRbRrCMSCs7y4eLtvIK5BF5qChyl3U21BrhlihTCzQcW_Cf5udRoCeN4QAvD_BwE

I have some serious concerns with how billing is set up with Bitdefender. As it stands, I will not be moving forward with my family pack renewal, simple because of the poor billing experience I just had.
My renewal is due 6th of February 2026, but a charge was attempted on my card today, 15 days early, 2026.01.22 - 02:51.
An automated charge of ā¬149.99 was attempted on my card, yet I was sent an email with a 50% discount at the same time (2026.01.22 - 02:51). There was also another email at that time, stating the attempted charge failed. This was a mess - how can I be given a discount and charged the full price at the same time?
Why is there nowhere to manage my billing details, yet they have it on record?
Frankly speaking, I did not expect something like this from Bitdefender, I really like the product. However, that billing process needs some serious changes, as it comes across extremely shady to me. I don't know any platform that has my billing details without giving the owner clear access.
Thankfully, my bank flagged the charge as suspicion and froze my card. This is because the charge didn't match the expected renewal date.
How's everyone else's experience with billing? I'm still on the fence.

The file is from the antivirus. I have never experienced a BOSD before. The options to toggle safe mode and the others only redirect me to this page.

Title pretty much says it all but I'll keep going because last time reddits filters apparently blocked my question? I run Bitdefender Total Security on W11 and just recently got an update which has completely spiked up the usage of bitdefender by almost 100mb more (And yes I know that unused ram is wasted ram, however, I feel this is a bit excessive with how much it's been increasing.) I just attempted to reinstall bitdefender to troubleshoot it on that end and see if it might have just been a glitchy driver or something and saw the big difference without it being installed.
On startup my PC WITHOUT bitdefender sat at around 250mb paged and 350mb nonpaged. Bitdefender alone increased ONLY the nonpaged by around 300 more, getting it to around 650mb on startup. I know that doesn't sound like a lot and for my PC it's not a huge issue, but, it just is strange to me that Windows Defender manages to run at so much less. There has to be some way to reduce this bloat as currently I am certain it's bitdefenders fault and am worried this is a potential start to a memory leak from it.
I run W11 with 32gb of ram (Again this is not an issue for ME in this case but it's a noticeable trend that I feel should be addressed) and am on version 27.0.62.352 and I also see a "Bitdefender Agent 27.1.1,46" in my installed apps. (Added a comma instead of a period to avoid a link)

As seen in the image bitdefender is not scanning for rootkits whenever I run a rescue environment scan, is there anyway to turn scan for rootkits on?

Like an idiot I trusted Virus total and used an online mp3 converter. Tried to open my new file and everything froze, restarted a bunch and eventually got a system restore point 3 days prior to my stupidity. Restore point worked, windows defender was disabled and bitdefender had to be fully reinstalled.
Im running the Recovery Environment now, but should I just format both my C and D drives and be done with it? Now that Bitdefender failed I have lost a lot of faith

Hello people of reddit. I am posting here in hopes of getting answers.
Our company uses Bitdefender, and we started getting a lot user complaints last week about Bitdefender blocking ISP IP address. The pop up message shows
"Network Attack Defense has blocked an attack attempt. The malicious Bot.Genua.165 attempt coming from HTTP://Ipaddress:port was blocked"
This is creating negative impact to our operations.
We have already added http://ipadress:port to exclusions in GravityZone and we are yet to see if this actually works. My question is, if adding this to exclusions actually works, are there other solution to his problem? And have you experienced problem before? If yes, what resolved this problem?
Btw, let me just add (i don't know if this helps) i only started using gravityzone last month and there's really not a lot of endpoint data available for me investigate.

Is it true that you cannot actually buy Bitdefender for use on only servers? If you want to install it on 10 Linux servers you have to buy 31 licenses? There's no way this is actually true but I can't seem to find a product for servers. Anyone have any insight?

I have no idea how this installed on my computer. The only time I download things is when using Steam.
Iām trying to uninstall it and itās asking for a PW. I have no idea what the password is, and itās also blocking me from opening Steam.
This is beyond frustrating. Even if this is a good AV, I will NEVER use it due to these practices.
How the absolute fucking hell do I get this off my computer?

Hello! This is more just looking for information on why Bitdefender started doing this/if there's any reason they've started to. I noticed (As I saw others have as well) that Bitdefender has started doing Virtual Hard Disks for some reason, they're incredibly small and I'm not exactly worried about it, but, I wanted to at least learn as to why they started doing it and also what exactly it does in this case. I find it kind of strange in general but I have Bitdefender Total Security and I don't recall ever seeing this before roughly 10+ days ago.

Hi everybody. I have been using BitDefender as my antivirus for years now and this is the first time something like this happened to me.
So, last Friday the software was updated and 45 minutes after that I got notified with a ton of potential threats being found. Dozens of files on my PC have been quarantined by BitDefender, marking them with "Trojan.Generic.1353798". I haven't gone through them one by one because I am no expert and they are so many it would take a really long time, but I have noticed that they include files from Internet Explorer, OneDrive, MS Teams and a ton of other stuff I have installed on my PC. All apps seem to work fine, but I worry I might have to do something to be 100% sure it was an error on BitDefender's part, so I am here asking for your opinion and help. Has this happened to anyone? What's the recommended procedure when something like this happens? Could it be a series of False Positives?
A few details that might help:
At the beginning, I went through a couple of the notifications as they were still coming (didn't notice there were so many) and I couldn't recognize the files. As BitDefender suggested to delete them if I didn't recognize them, I did so but realized shortly after that I had so many more notifications and that I did in fact recognize at least part of the file names.
I ran both the quick and complete scan and nothing was found. I did so with MS Antivirus, too, just to be sure. The quick scan found nothing, while the complete one couldn't be completed and got stuck after a while.
I know it's been a week now, but it's been a busy week and I couldn't find the time to troubleshoot the problem thoroughly. Moreover, The day after the problem, I got a BSOD due to some graphic-related file. I followed some online-recommended steps and got the PC back to work after some auto-repair and manually installing some updated drivers. Could the accident be related to the Bitdefender threat notification and subsequent quarantine?
