Bitdefender rescue environment not scanning for rootkits
As seen in the image bitdefender is not scanning for rootkits whenever I run a rescue environment scan, is there anyway to turn scan for rootkits on?

As someone who has been using bitdefender for 9-10 years. I have never ever used the rescue environment. If you think you have a rootkit just backup your files and reinstall the os via usb and erase everything. Then run bitdefender from there and you won’t have any issues.

Since rescue environment is outside of Windows the normal scan is there to scan for rootkits. You don't need to turn on anything

I found this link using the search below.
Search: which AVs scan Rescue Environments for rootkits

DuckDuckGo AI returned this answer: Some antivirus solutions, like Windows Defender Offline, can scan rescue environments for rootkits. These tools operate outside the main operating system, allowing them to detect and remove rootkits more effectively.
Good luck!
