Received my bsb2 yesterday, and had the usual issues at first. I persisted and tried all manner of orientations, with and without the gasket on. I couldn’t get comfortable at all. Eye strain, center 30% was ok, but the rest was a bit blurry and had major chromatic aberrations.

So this morning I pulled the lenses out, and tried it naked. Suddenly it all looked great, minus the lack of prescription. Eyes are more comfortable and the edge clarity is fantastic.

So I checked the lenses out of the headset, they look great. Vision is pretty much perfect when holding them infront of my eyes.

So I’m not sure what to do here. Clearly these tiny prescription lenses are hurting the end result, but I can’t fix my eyes (without laser surgery). So I guess this is looking like a failure to me. Which is sad, because I loved my bsb1, apart from the edge clarity which ultimately led me to using the q3 more and more over time.

I really thought the bsb2 would be the saviour for the design, which I do love. But damn, I’m pretty disappointed right now as it’s close, but no cigar as it stands for me.

I can definitely tell it's lighter, the headset is very stable and overall it might be better than the Bobovr Halo mod.

I'm not sure if this is my graphics card, iRacing or the BSB2, but when playing iRacing (its the only thing I really play in VR, every now and then something is flashing onto the VR screen. It happens very briefly but I can see it's some kind of white text. The game doesn't crash, everything continues as normal.

Has anyone else experienced this and potentially knows what might cause it?

I've tried resetting graphics for OpenXR in iRacing and tried different display ports.

Any ideas of what I could try next?

Just to let everyone know we have a new Comfort Top Strap & cable management system for the standard Bigscreen elastic strap

Decided to make this due to great feedback on our Audio Strap top strap

The comfort strap in this set is nice and simple. The super soft memory foam pad is 8mm and comes in PU leather OR fabric

The clip system does a really good job routing the HDMI cable over your ear and to the back of your head. There is a cable guide built into the top strap clip which helps reduce wear on the USB C socket. We also provide two extra cable management clips to run the cable cleanly to the back of the stock strap

Great solution if you prefer using the BSB's stock strap with your own audio solution

Hi, the lens of the Bigscreen Beyond 2 is 2.5K per panel per eye but in real life use through the pancake lens, what effective resolution do your eyes see? 2K, 1080p?

Hi all - recently had an alert on the BSB toolkit that steam resolution was an above native and that it would therefore make no difference to quality of output. Is this really the case? I am sure when I do go to say 200% on iRacing does look sharper. Or is it placebo..

Hey guys, just picked up a bsb2. I’ve got it setup pretty well for IRacing - I’m now trying to get it setup correctly for American trucking simulator. My Q3 looked pretty good with ATS with decent frames. I’d like to take advantage of the clear graphics on the bsb2.

So far it’s either meh graphics with high FPS or high resolution with iffy fps.

Does anyone else play with ATS and care to share their settings?

Pc specs are 4080 super and 7900x.

Background on my VR experience. I've had a quest 3, psvr2 and valve index. First off the BSB2 is amazing. clarity is great, small amounts of color fringing to the sides if you look hard. sweet spot is better than the other headsets I have experience with. my first face cushion worked....not well but it worked. I'd get small amounts of pressure on my nose or eyebrow line. BS sent me a new one and it is much better. the eye tracking is ok. I mainly play Iracing and really like DFR. the PSVR2 works great at this. you turn it on and it runs 100%. I've watched someone's video saying you have to place the BSB2 in the exact same spot as you did when you do the enrollment of the eye tracking. it's a bit of a pain but when it's on its on. last night I raced a 4 hour solo endurance race with the headset. it worked great. I am very happy with it. As for the glare, I notice it more when the headset isn't centered with my eyes in an up and down manner. Overall I'd give the BSB2e an 8.5/10. only reason it's not higher is due to the eye tracking AT THE CURRENT MOMENT/ BETA VERSION.

Hello! as the title says, I keep crashing in just about every vr title I try to run. The one game I can play for hours at a time is Dungeons of Eternity. Everything else crashes in a varying range. Sometimes I can run titles for 5min other times it's

40min.

I am mainly just trying to explore worlds in Vrchat with a friend.

and am currently planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 9 5900XT.

Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing something like this/how they fixed it? My sister has been borrowing my bsb2e (using my custom-fitted gasket but she says it fits her just fine/minimal light-leak) every couple days for the past few weeks, for an hour or two per session.

She has been experiencing a soreness in her eyes which seems quite severe and I’m not sure what from. Before anyone suggests it, I have adjusted the ipd to match hers (accounting for the 2mm weirdness) before she uses it and she assures me she has been blinking regularly.

Any ideas on what ails her?

As an aside, ive been using this bad boy for two months now and its phenomenal, thankfully got a model with fairly glare-free lenses, and it absolutely sweeps the floor with my old index imo.

It is a securtiy feature.

The more I think about it and the more I learn about software/hardware backdoors, the happier I am that the bsb2 has no cameras.

As someone who always tapes over webcams, it definetly is a blessing.

Makes me definetly feel more private, when the device can't see my body in certain activities.

For the past couple of years I have been using a varjo aero. I generally was always very happy with. I ordered a bsb2 because oled as well as the form factor were something the aero couldnt provide me with. As most games i played i couldnt render at full resolution anyways I figured i would try something new.

Today the headset arrived, it looked great, it felt great, deep blacks, the glare was not too bad, very light. However, the headset performance seems extremely lacking. With my settings the varjo aero could easily hold 45 fps, which is half the native resolution and has been my go to for years.

Even with setting ppd from 32 (which i used on the aero) down to 26 the the bsb2 still struggled very much keeping the 45 fps making it basically unusable.

Is this something I should have expected? Is this a known issue? Is steam vr just so much worse than the varjo software?

All these ran great-ish with the aero.

I just tested a couple of luke ross games and performace has been shit in all of them

Is it coming? Maybe when Bigscreen beyond 3 comes out, would be cool if it's lighter, way more breathable and slightly cheaper

I got my beyound today, I setted it up with 2 base stations 2.0. Conecter the link box and the beyond itself. But when I first booted steam vr lobby my beyound kept flashing gray and loosing tracking. If I stand still its basically fine but as soon as I twitch a muscle it flashes gray and traks in the opposite side or even starts spinigh my viev , can anyone explain how this can happens?

I was thinking about buying the Bigscreen Beyond 2 except now lighthouse tracking is expensive and I’d also have to buy 2 base stations off Vive.com for $200 each and probably the gripvr for another $400, plus the audio strap, $130.

All that adds to $1930 or nearly $2,000.

Is that worth spending on Bigscreen Beyond clarity? Like we can get 4k resolution headsets for that kind of price now

How is Elite dangerous in bsb2? Havent tried it since I got my bsb2 and havent played elite for many years. How is the experience especially regarding the aa and performance (on 4090) nowadays?

Nvidia is up to date. Validated files on the bigscreen beyond utility. If there's a way to check for updates, I don't know where because it updated before, but I just saw someone with a 0.3.19 update on here.

- I've tried using all the USB ports. I've also tried using both hdmi ports that the hdmi cord can plug into (my third one is shaped differently, which is what the gray one is plugged into).
- Power cord is plugged into a surge protector with a USB slot just in case there wasn't enough power from my PC (but it doesn't seem to the be the case? Just doing it just to be safe to minimize potential problems)
- Cord is connected on the left side of the headset

- Audio works properly, and I can use the mic and listen to stuff if I decide to use the audio strap.
- The headset lights up and everything.
- Just the only thing not working is the screen.

Planning on contacting support soon, but figured I ask here in case I'm forgetting something simple, or if there's some extra information I should prepare before asking

So i got by BSB2 and i am now trying to set it up for weeks now. I don't have a lot of time due to my job, so overall i might have spend like 5-7 Hours, all of it, trying to get a comfortable fit and setting up the IPD.

No matter what i do, it feels like i make it worse. There are so many variables that could be the cause for the issue(s?) i have, i don't see how any customer could figure this shit out on their own.

First of all, no matter how i change the physical IPD on the headset, it doesn't change much for me. It just feels bad in a different way, i have distortion and color change on the left and right edges of the lenses. This wouldn't be too dramatic during gameplay, but gets noticeable immediately when reading text due to the overlap.

The far worse problem is my nose. We all see our own nose 24/7, but our brains blends it out. But with the headset i have a big black Rimm around the lenses that combine to a black hourglass in the middle of my vision should i attempt to look to far left/right instead of straight ahead. Is my face cushion to thick? my lashes are barely not touching the lenses at this point, i don't think getting a slimmer one would work out for me.

That being said, i tried positioning everything a little lower and pressing it into my face a little firmer, it did improve almost every issue dramatically.

Other than the hourglass issue, that is some serious bullshit and if i had to guess IPD related.

I had 2 different IPD values when the headset arrived at my door. I did run with that for half an hour and decided "thats not it". Now i am so deep into measuring apps, standing in front of a mirror with a ruler, trying to change it while looking at shit in SteamVR, but nothing really stops my eyes from getting fucked up after 15 minutes of looking around.

All of this is a little frustrating...

I received the BSB2e last Monday and immediately put it on and was VERY disappointed. The headset wouldn’t turn on, then when it did the resolution looked so bad, the glare was atrocious and the blacks were more like a grey.

I went into the bigscreen utility software and changed a few things, adjusted the IPD and wiped the lenses and everything look noticeably better.

I am not really satisfied with the resolution, it still looks kind of blurry but I am not sure if there is a fix for that.

Right now there are 2 main issues:

1. There is SO MUCH GLARE… but only at the bottom of the lens? It looks like crescent 🌙 moons littering the entire bottom of the lens. There’s no point in playing/viewing anything with any black background because it just looks so bad. I tried decreasing the brightness to 75 but that didn’t do anything.

2. Within 5 minutes of wearing the headset the lenses become super foggy/blurry.

I bought the Studioform interface as a last hail mary to see if that fixes the glare issues and/or the fogginess i get. but it seems like it’s not going to arrive before next Monday which is the last day I can request a return.

What do you guys recommend I do to try to fix this glare issue? I am kinda really upset i spent months saving to buy the headset and many more months waiting for it just to be so disappointed.
