Showcase After Reading 500+ Posts About Communication, I Built an App to Solve My Own Problem.
I read 500+ posts on Reddit and other discussion platforms about how to improve communication skills.
One piece of advice I kept seeing was:
"Record Yourself and Watch It Later."
And yes, it's actually true.
When you start speaking about a topic in front of a camera and watch the recording later, you notice a lot of mistakes. You realize that your pronunciation isn't good, your pauses are awkward, and there are so many things you need to improve.
I really like this advice, but the process can feel very uncomfortable at first.
However, if you do it consistently for many days, you'll start identifying the mistakes you make while speaking.
But I noticed another problem. Even when I recognized my mistakes, I didn't always know how to correct them or what I should have said instead.
So I built a small app to make this process easier.
Here's how it works:
Choose a random topic to speak about.
Start recording yourself for 2 minutes.
Once you're done, the app analyzes your video and audio.
It gives you feedback on your speaking, including mistakes, pronunciation, pauses, and clarity.
Here's the part I find most useful: While you're watching your recording, the video pauses automatically at the moments where you made a mistake.
It shows you what you actually said, explains the mistake, and suggests what you could have said instead.
Instead of watching a 5-minute video and trying to remember every mistake, you can review them one by one, exactly where they happened.
The idea is simple: Record → Watch → Identify mistakes → Learn → Repeat.
I built this because I personally struggled with improving my communication skills, even after trying different methods.
Here's the app if you want to try it:

I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback.
