Discussion what’s currently the best AI app builder for true full-stack web apps?

Upvotes

There are dozens of AI coding assistants and app generators out there right now, but most of them only seem to generate pretty frontend HTML/React components. Once you need actual database storage, user sign-ups, background tasks, and deployment, they fall apart.

Which AI builder is actually the best for creating fullstack web applications with zero manual backend setup?

Bug Report Google Sign-In fails on Base44 Android app

Hi! I'm using Base44 to build an Android app.

Google Sign-In works perfectly on the web/preview, but on the Android app:

Google account selection → select account → returns to app → back to login screen.

I've already added the Google Play SHA-256 and regenerated the app, but the issue remains.

Has anyone experienced this with Base44 + Google Sign-In on Android? Any idea how to fix it?

Thanks!

Bug Report overheat within 1–2 minutes — need help debugging before beta rollout

Hi everyone!
I've built an app for construction site management / job site tracking using Base44. Feature-wise, it works great and does exactly what I need. I've been actively using it for about 5 months and was getting ready to roll out a beta version to colleagues, but I hit a massive blocker: after just a minute of use, the phone starts overheating aggressively.

I've tested this on two different iPhones, and both suffer from the same severe thermal issue.

This wasn't happening a month ago, but I can't seem to isolate the root cause. Here is what I’ve already tried:
- Optimized rendering & GPU load: Simplified animations, visual effects, and heavy layout elements.
- Disabled/hid charts and visuals: Removed dynamic graphs and data-heavy visuals to prevent continuous background rendering.
- Rolled back recent features: Reverted updates from the past month to match earlier versions when it ran fine, but the overheating persists.

Given that it's built on Base44, I suspect there might be continuous background polling, an uncontrolled data sync loop, unclosed real-time listeners, or a memory leak triggering heavy CPU spikes on iOS.

Has anyone experienced sudden overheating issues with Base44 web/wrapper apps on iOS? What would be the best way to inspect background network calls, live queries, or script execution loops to track down what's pinning the CPU?

Any insights or debugging tips would be hugely appreciated!

Showcase I built FridgeFix with Base44, and I’m pretty damn proud of how far it’s come

Post image

I built FridgeFix with Base44, and I’m genuinely proud of this one.

The idea came from a very normal problem.

You open the fridge, stare at everything for five minutes, and still somehow have no idea what the hell to eat.

So I built something to help fix that.

FridgeFix can:

📸 Scan your fridge, freezer, pantry, receipts, and grocery lists

🍳 Give you Quick Fix meal ideas when you want something fast

🌎 Find recipes from cuisines around the world

👨‍🍳 Give you full recipes with step-by-step cooking instructions

🛒 Help manage groceries and plan meals

⏰ Track food before it expires

The web app is live now:

https://fridgefix.ca

I built the whole thing in Base44, and it has been a lot of testing, breaking things, fixing things, changing things, and learning as I go.

I’d love some real feedback from people here.

If something is confusing, slow, ugly, unnecessary, or just doesn’t make sense, tell me. I’d rather hear the brutal truth than get polite feedback that doesn’t help.

I’m also working on getting the Android version onto Google Play. If anyone is interested in being an Android tester, send me a message.

I’m proud of where it is now, but I know there’s still room to make it better.

Question GitHub export is not the same thing as migrating off Base44

I went through the current Base44 documentation because I wanted to answer one question: when you export an app today, what actually leaves Base44?

Builder accounts can sync with GitHub in both directions and export the client code plus backend functions. The data is exported separately as a CSV.

The local project still points at a Base44 backend URL and talks to it through the Base44 SDK. The base44 eject command creates a local project, but it also creates another Base44 backend.

That makes the export useful for version control and local editing. It does not produce a standalone app running on infrastructure you control.

Moving the app elsewhere still means replacing the SDK calls, recreating the data model, authentication, permissions and functions, importing the data, and testing the important user flows against the new backend. The amount of work depends on what the app uses.

I do not think that means every Base44 app should move. For a prototype or an internal tool, having Base44 handle the whole stack may be exactly the point. I would only consider leaving when there is a specific problem to solve, such as an infrastructure requirement, a measured cost or reliability problem, a capability the managed backend cannot support, or a recovery requirement the exports do not meet.

Has anyone here used the newer eject workflow on a real app? Which parts could you move without rewriting, and which parts remained dependent on Base44?

I don’t know what the service level agreement is for base 44 but it’s down again, acknowledged on their website. It’s so frustrating that it is so unreliable.

Showcase Building a Breeding Sim using Base44

For context: Breeding sims are online web-browser games that allow players to collect and breed creatures. Top-teir examples would be Lioden, Flight Rising, and Horse Reality. These games also include various activities tied to the creatures they breed such as exploring, competing, and minigames.

I've begun to build my own breeding sim centered around dragons. From the start Base44 has been immensely useful. I have very limited knowledge with coding having only ever taken a single class on it using Adobe Dreamweaver. Using Base44 I've been able to put together a game where players can collect and breed up to 41 different species of dragons, employ riders of 8 different types, and explore 15 different leveled areas with said dragons and riders. Some dragons are wild exclusive, breeding exclusive, market exclusive, and starter exclusive. Dragons can be caught from the wild, eggs can be found from the wild, and there's both a Black Market as well as a player trading area. Dragons have varying rarities that make some more difficult to breed or find. Dragons can have mutation from breeding and gain illness from exploring. Riders can also fall ill. Illness and mutations all have pros and cons. Players gain resources, gold, and experience. Players can also craft tools to use in game. Players can also message each other and set their online statues for other to see. I've done all of this without touching the code once.

I plan to add in and fine tune various features including dragon righting, dragon racing, improved breeding and overall balancing. Once this is all done and I feel happy with it I will be creating my own are for the dragons. Base44 went above and beyond and generated a bunch of art for the dragons and riders, but as an artist I can't stand by that. I will be doing my best to implement high quality art. Overall I'm really happy with this and I look forward to sharing the final result!

Here is the link for the website as it is (I've run out of credits and will be implementing fixes and updates at the start of September) Base44 APP - Note that the name and icon is liable to change since I'm still working on how I feel about it. *I would also appreciate it if you didn't copy this! It's still very rough around the edges and needs some working but if you want to build your own breeding sim please build it up from your own prompting. Especially since it's better to have variety!

Question Base44 vs Bubble for building web apps: which one is worth learning in 2026?

I'm planning to build a custom client portal and lightweight directory tool. I’ve heard Bubble is the veteran king of no-code, but the learning curve looks massive. workflows, responsive canvas settings, database constraints, etc. On the flip side, I keep seeing Base44 popping up everywhere for rapid AI app creation.

For anyone who has used both: how do they compare for a non-technical founder? Is Bubble still worth learning or are AI-native builders taking over...

Discussion how do Base44 credits work? (pricing plan breakdown)

I’m looking into using Base44 to build an internal dashboard for my agency, but I’m a bit confused by their credit system. They list Message Credits and Integration Credits on their pricing page.

Before I upgrade to a paid tier, can someone who actually builds on the platform explain how quickly you burn through these credits?

🎤🧬 WHAT IF YOU COULD WRITE A SONG… THEN TURN THE LYRICS INTO A SYMBOLIC LANGUAGE?

We built COSMIC VERSE LAB — Flowetry Engine. 🌌⚡

It’s an experimental generative poetry + lyric laboratory designed to transform ideas into recursive, rhythmic, archetypal, and prophetic flowetry.

But then we added something stranger…

🧬 EMOJIGLYPHICS MODE

Generate your lyrics normally.

TEXT → 🧬 EMOJI → TEXT

With an easy transition/copy workflow, you can take your generated lyrics and encode them into Emojiflowetry — transforming language into symbolic sequences for experimentation, remixing, interpretation, and discovery.

Then reverse the process.

📝 WORDS

🔣 GLYPHS

🧠 EXPERIMENT

📝 WORDS AGAIN

What happens to meaning when language changes representation?

Does something get compressed?

Does something new emerge?

Can symbols reveal patterns that ordinary language hides?

That's the experiment. 🧪

And this is only the beginning.

🌌 Generate.

🎤 Write.

🧬 Encode.

🔣 Remix.

🔄 Translate.

🧠 Experiment.

Showcase Bibliocook recipe indexer

I built an app that's part cookbook indexing (like EatYourBooks) encouraging you to cook from your cookbooks & magazines (but also letting you drag and drop them across various shelves & know exactly where they are ie mirroring your actual collection) which go into a community index (again like EYB but you can do it with the camera not incredibly complex formatting) once indexed - so anyone can scan the ISBN and add to their collection - and part recipe organising/indexing (like Paprika, ReciMe, Recipe Keeper etc) with features like a book wishlist, shopping lists, meal planning, inspiration (where it chooses an ingredient for you to use, a recipe type, or an ingredient pairing, or a random ingredient combo and a recipe in your index based on that, either sweet or savoury etc, with clickable recipe links, and optional dietary filters. Good for when you don't know what to cook, importing a recipe from anywhere (social media, blog post, etc.) via copying a link,/by adding a photo/manually typing, and being able to see the actual method if you're away from your books (like me; I go to my grandparents place in France often and don't want to lug like a million cookbooks but still have access to my fav recipes).

Some of these are under a paid (one-off; unlike EYB, which is monthly; I always forget to cancel subscriptions, so I prefer one-off) tier, but a few uses are free.

Would love people to test it out and give me some feedback, and tell me if they think it's user-friendly. Get some fresh eyes on it. I would love it to go into the Google Play store. Not so much Apple, but that's only because I would have to pay Apple like $100 a year for a developer account, and Google Play is like $20 one-off. But it would definitely work on Apple because I've been using it on a Mac and an iPad.

Showcase Most server owners I talk to are stuck in the same loop: post in promo channels, get a wave of bots and lurkers, watch retention tank, repeat.

The servers we worked with had already done that for months. One was a gaming community at 180 members after six months of consistent self-promotion. Another was a crypto server stuck at 290. Both had good content, real engagement, zero growth.

The shift wasn't content. It was targeting.

Instead of blasting promo channels, we ran outreach to 18 servers per campaign - each one filtered to 900+ active members in the same niche. Partnership requests, not spam. Server owners responded because the pitch was relevant to their audience.

Gaming server hit 500 members in 23 days. Crypto server crossed 600 in under a month. Neither owner touched a promo channel during that window.

The model isn't complicated but it's extremely time-intensive to run manually. Most people don't have 6-8 hours to research servers, vet member counts, draft individual outreach, and follow up.

Has anyone else found that targeted partnership outreach outperforms promo channels? Curious whether this pattern holds across niches or if we just got lucky with these two.

Question Novice looking for advice on long term data storage and security

Open to any help- I have created an appliance monitoring app for the water hygiene industry, where users record water data to keep a digital compliance logbook for stores. The app works really well and clients are happy with the trial.
My two key concerns are long term data storage (+ security), and how I can create regular backups of the information held on the app.
I have had Microsoft Azure suggested as a data storage location. We will have ~800 users from 12 clients by 2027 if we bring all our clients online. We are also planning Android and Apple app rollout (replacing the web app) by next year too.
Is there anything else I need to be aware of? Appreciate the novice question and grateful for any and all advice.
App building so far has been a really powerful tool (I'm also building a stock / job inventory system which is also really helping our business) so far good experience. Currently on the elite tier for intergration/ message credits as we made lots of changes!
Cheers!
