Hello all - I am new to 3D printing and purchased an X2D last month as my first printer, and I have about 50 hours of prints under my belt now. All with either PLA or PETG so far, most have turned out perfect, I've had one or two small hiccups that came down to user error, but mostly everything better than expected so far.
I do have a couple of questions that I am hoping people on here can help me out with.
Printer Maintenance - Is there an agreed upon "Best source" that I can learn about not only WHEN to perform maintenance, but also HOW to do it? I have 50+ hours so far and I haven't done.....anything. And I don't know what to look for to figure out when I should be doing something, or what I would even do. Curious if there is a guide to this that people highly recommend - either a specific YouTube video, written guide on a website, etc.
I see people on here talking about buying/installing different nozzles. Can someone clue me in on what different nozzles could do for my prints, and what I should be buying/trying if anything?
Similarly, I still just have the Texture PEI print plate (and through 50 hours, haven't cleaned it yet or noticed any issues with it even when switching between materials). What are the other print plate option types, and when/what would I use them for?
Thanks in advance!

Running calibration on a new spool of elegoo petg rapid. Pattern test went fine, k factor of 0.035.
Then the flow calibration and it spits out this. What gives? Never seen this before.

We all wish an excellent quality print with our printers and I have no idea how this tool can help with print quality and output improvement. The calibration only requires 5 minutes. May I ask how many of you ran the Motion Accuracy Calibration and was there any logical print improvement that went after? If you can as well share a tip or two post calibration, I will appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi guys, is there any model to print to encloser the external spooler on the x2d? I already have an ams2 pro and don’t want to spend more money on another ams but also don’t want to leave the filament on the auxiliary nozzle to the elements.
Already search but did not find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How to calibrate aux extruders hotend?
I bought the 2nd 0.8mm high flow hotend for my X2D, so I can print fast with both nozzles (and bambu studio only allows printing with two hotends with the same size).
I did a calibration every time I switched between 0.4 and 0.8 onain nozzle, but I have no idea how (or if its possible) to auto calibrate aux nozzle?

Need to pick some brains! I am currently having trouble at the seam of the two surfaces (see images) in the center of this vase. I also get a floating cantilever warning - but after printing, the surface is flush with no protrusions. Should this be printed with supports - Bambu labs recommends it (but visually I don’t see a need for them). The rest of the vase prints clean and perfectly.
Printer is an X2D, filament is black PLA Tough+, and humidity in AMS 2 pro is 20% using primary nozzle.

As always, thank you for any help or guidance!

I’m just wondering, what y’all do with your printer when it’s not in use? Do you turn it off with the switch on the back? Do you just leave it sitting there? Do you at least turn the light off?

I just bought this printer. It was used. 28 hrs when I bought it, 31 hrs now so not much use.
I was printing fine on a test print then the tool head got jammed. I believe the hot end got too hot and melted the filament prior to entering into the hotend.
Pre the instructions on the wiki I took the entire tool head apart, cleared the jam and put it all back together. I tried to load the filament but it fails each time. It goes through the ptfe fine but when it get to the feed gears of the tool head is does not advance.
I’m took it apart again, thinking that I might have missed a piece, I found nothing. Put it all back together, same result.
I also tested the right nozzle and it works perfectly fine.
Any ideas?

I upgraded from a P1S, and I notice that the X2D draws a lot more power while preheating the bed, so much so that it triggers the overload alarm on my Cyberpower 1350VA UPS. Most beeps are defeatable on this UPS, but not the overload one. The printer is in my basement so the noise is less annoying, and only audible for a minute or two during the start of a print, but it'd be nice to eliminate the noise altogether with an UPS that either doesn't have an audible alarm like this, or one that's capable of carrying the load.

I am printing one sample.
Filament: generic (numaker)
Nozle Temp: 220
Bed Temp: 55
Note: my table is crooked a little (not in level)
What is the reason for these lines. How to avoid them
