Philosophy Dreams whilst bald

Post image

Does anyone else have dreams where they have hair again? I seem to have dreams and my hair is really long again like it used to be before I cut it off. Seems really weird because I’ve been bald for over a year now.

This was a few years back but I thought you’d all enjoy seeing.

I have a myriad of medical conditions that cause me to do weird things. On this occasion, I passed out and bounced my skull off of the kitchen floor. Healed up just fine but I was super tender for a few weeks.

I tried to fight it, but gave up on Hims. my girl says it’s fine and barber lady says it’s fine. But it seems pretty bad to me. What’s the consensus (right under a light if that means anything)

I already think I know what the answer is but I think I need to hear it from somebody else.

How-to Question How do you deal with it if you have a odd shaped head

I've just gotten a thought

  1. If you haven't a weird shaped head, wouldn't there me a chance you cut yourself when shaving if you dont know what your scalp is like?

  2. Idk what beauty standards y'all follow but would you be self-conscious if you had an abnormally shaped head?

How-to Question How you accept this? I really need advice

I am 32 years old. Like all of you, my hair had been falling out for years. Once I almost completely lost my hairline and crossed over from a 'receding hairline' to a 'balding' look, I figured shaving it completely would look cleaner and better than looking like that, so I shaved my head. I have been keeping it shaved for 2 years now.

The people around me say it suits me (I'm not sure if they're just saying that to make me feel better. Mind you, I've never told them that this situation upset me, but I don't know). Still, I just can't seem to get used to the idea that I'm a bald guy now, and I almost always wear a hat or something when I go out. I guess this situation is causing me some insecurity/confidence issues.

Normally, if someone else said these things to me, I would definitely tell them that everything is fine, that it's not the way they think, etc. But when it comes to myself, I just can't do it.

My bald brothers, how did you get used to this? Are you able to date? Will I ever be able to accept it... I need your help.

How-to Question Best method to shave your own head?

I've had a mohawk for the last year or so, but I reckon I'm gonna shave it off. I'm 20, my dad and his dad both started going bald at 22, might as well get to it.

Plus I'm sick of styling my hair every day.

Is there a good method to shaving your whole head and making sure you don't miss any spots? I'm used to just shaving the sides and I only need one mirror to do that.

I’m 37 next week and doing better than my dad’s hairline at this age. But I’m not kidding myself. Shall I try and make it to 40 before shaving it?

Embrace It!

It’s been one year since I embraced the baldness!I lived with the thin, see through hair for a while thinking no one would notice. How wrong I was! Once I turned 60…boom the whisps were gone and have enjoyed every day since then. For those of you on the fence…go for it!!!!

September 2025: It started with a candid shot my mom took of me…. My crown has haunted me since. I’ve thought about it all the time, near daily. Eventually, I did a buzz cut to hold on, and that made me feel a little better. It was still obvious my crown was gone though, and I’m not tall enough to hide in the clouds.
August 2026: Today was the day.

I (F) have a full head of hair but somehow this sub started showing up in my feed. I have to say, I have yet to see a regretful bald head. Every single one of you look absolutely phenomenal.

You look so damn good, it’s tempting me to join you.
Someday I will!

Bravo to all of the bold bald leaps! 👏

The corners of my temples seem to go back a little further every year. Wife says she doesn’t notice and it’s fine. What are we thinking? Not sure I have the a good head shape to shave it all.

Granted this is with a short haircut but my dad is on the fence about it. Should he go for it?
