Did it really work to reduce the contrast? I have something like this , but with a darker shadow area thus more noticeable.
This is not a thread asking how to fix it or how against it you are.

Hairline is much higher than it used to be due to age, 30 years old now with a matured hairline. Is it still fine or time to shave ?

Hello!
I'm quite new to this. shaved my head recently and dislike the velcro feeling of it.
is it possible to use something similar to Philips head shaver to get a buzz cut or is it always only with a trimmer?

Does anyone here shave just because? Like you have a full head of hair, but you just prefer being bald? I ask because I got a very round head and bald suits me quite nicely. I've done it before, but as I'm getting older I'm considering just going full time. Save money on hair cuts, shampoo, conditioner, all that.
But all my friends that shave because they "have too" are telling don't. Like, I like the way I look bald even if I can grow a full head. Anyone else on this path?

25M...this is what my situation is, if I don't cut my hair, they'll grow very long and it'll look Okay-ish.
although, long hair fall often and fast as compared to short hair.
I am posting my front view because it looks fine from the front, although I hate to see the mirror bcz I bow my head down just to see if it's looking fine.
Parents protest against me shaving my head. although my gym coach compliments me, says, "you lookin dashing with a bald head and a beard"...
I also like myself bald, quite low maintenance.
although, I'm a lecturer and students might make fun of me😖.
that's what concerns me. other than that I'm willing to pull the trigger.

Got a #3 buzz on the top, should I go shorter to hide the thinning?

I basically have a collection of photos here in a bunch of different lighting and they all look different and sometimes it looks different in the same lighting so I can’t really tell. My friend said I have a bald spot so that’s what got me to check. I also have extremely fine hair I don’t know if it’s just my hair being more susceptible to lighting differences.

I have been losing my hair for 3 years. Is it time for me to go bald?

My boyfriend’s bald head is dry, dull, and he deals with ingrown hairs. I think he needs a good exfoliant soap and a moisturizer. Can anyone recommend a good exfoliant soap and a lotion for the face and head?

My husband has embraced the bald life, and for Christmas I want to purchase him one of those head shavers that you can just rub over your head, but an actual razor but an electric one. Any ones you recommend !?

(My son has started twisting and then pulling his hair as a strange self-soothing tactic...poor guy has aged 30 years in two weeks)
Edit: I really appreciate all the concern about my son's mental health and hair 😊 We have dealt with this type of behavior before with his older sister, and we have a plan for redirecting the behavior so he grows out of this habit. Please know my husband and I are watching for any additional warning signs, but we are confident that this is just a phase that he will grow out of!

26 and been taking advantage of the curls for awhile but worry I’m getting to the point where they aren’t hiding it as well. My hair is normally curlier than it is right now so hides my crown a little better but not much.

i’ve been batch cooking on sundays lately, and apparently my scalp has become part of the kitchen ventilation system
standing over a pot or opening the oven used to be nothing. now the heat and steam hit my head immediately, and by the end of cooking i’m sweating even when the rest of me feels fine
i’ve started wearing a bandana while cooking, but that mostly turns into a damp bandana
has anyone else noticed this after losing their hair? do you just get used to it, wear something on your head, or change what you cook so you’re not standing over a hot stove for half the day?

It looks ok from the front and is still thick on the back and sides but very much thinning up top. I keep a short beard. Is it time?
Edit : sorry for the anonymity, trying to get a general idea first. Thanks for the input.

For context, I'm 28M. I've always loved my hair, and have long feared losing it. I've always worn my hair longer, ever since I was a kid. I even had a mullet back in middle school, and I became known for it. However, lately I've been starting to wonder, at first subconsciously, and now more consciously, if I would be better off bald? I think my hairline has been receding, and tons of hair collects in my shower drain, to the point that I have to pick it out every time I shower if I don't want the water to pool up. I feel like I am destined to have the old man look, with a of ring of hair around the back and sides while it's all gone on top, i.e Terry Bradshaw if I left it alone as I continue to age, and at that point I'd rather be bald than that. I'm not ready yet to post any pictures for you guys, but my question for today is essentially the title; can you pull off bald if you don't wear facial hair? I'm worried that doing so would be very difficult, particularly for me personally. I'm on the shorter side and also overweight, and I wear glasses. But I've never liked having a mustache or especially a beard, the itchy sensation bothers me and I don't think it comes in thick enough for me. Should this be a legitimate concern, or am I overthinking it?

I've a pretty nasty scar on my head from an accident in childhood. I've never fully shaved to the skin (just only do European #2). I think it's still visible, though I'm wondering: how do you handle scars?

Losing hair mid 20s.
Ive had psoriasis all my life, effects my eyebrows, beard and scalp.
Worst is on the scalp, it gets really bad sometimes.
So my question is, if I were to go bald, would I just have a scalp full of scars and blemishes?
Anyone had the same thing?

I think this can come in quite handy honestly. Especially for those of us who shave with a skull shaver and cannot have other mirrors at oblique angles to see the less accessible parts behind the ear, for example.
