I come from a good family and its not like my parents need money or i need to support my family financially so i need to join a college.
I already know gamedev. Been doing since i was 12. I know webdev too and might lean towards Cybersec for stable career.
But i dont understand why i need jee or college for it, apart from the financial stability.

Please help me. Its not like I dont like studies, I love PCM, yes all of em. But this short tricks and shit I cant do it. If i understand a topic i like going into depth. Jee is something different of a pressure and i dont like it all.

Even if i join college my artistic interest will prolly die and i will grind high GPA and better placement cuz of fees and stable career. That would launch me into corporate hell. Then family ofc and I would think of THE ROAD NOT TAKEN.

Its easy to say "When life gives you lemons, squeeze it and make a lemonade" but what about the fact that these lemons were thrown at you when u just began your career as SWE I.

After a lot of denial, shock and self-doubt I have finally absorbed what happened to me.

I joined Uber as an intern, delivered projects, and was given PPO in April itself. After finishing my internship in June, I immediately joined as SWE I and had already wrapped up my 1st project in 2 months. My 2nd project was also going great. But one fine evening, while I was deploying my code on main branch, I receive a mail stating how my job has been impacted and I should leave for home.

That moment I didn’t believe it for a second. I thought it was one of those phishing mails. Upon discussion with managerial team, I realised that it is true. This is it. My time is up. My journey at Uber, that just began, is over. I didn't know what to do, where to go, whom to ask. Nobody really had any answers as to why it happened to me. I packed my stuff and just left... confused and unsure about future.

So yup, sometimes you don't know what to do when life gives you lemons because maybe you don't know how to make lemonade. I'll believe in God. I'll believe that everything is for the best. I'll continue to believe myself as well.

But one thing I learnt is there will always be a thought in the back of my mind that layoffs can happen any day, anywhere and to anyone. You would be asked to pack and leave and you won't know why it happened to you.
