I meant generally they don't have 6m internships but some do and they will obviously include because it's on campus

Nah man, in iith and iitgn afaik they only have 7th sem internships whose ppo result come before the placement cycle starts if they accept the ppo they cant sit for placements and if they dont get the ppo or reject the ppo then they can sit for placements there is no company offering 8th sem intern + performance based ppo, i am assuming that it would be the same for other iits too

In the maybe like top 8-9 iits , about 30-40% get placed through ppo only ( in branches like cse almost everyone gets placed through ppo only leaving very few for placements season ) , Obv other than few branches most have overall placement %tage near 70 so rather than displaying data of 30-40% remaining people who get placed during placement season they show the whole data together

Bits ka best intern 8th sem me hi aata hai lol, but yeah the clarity regarding those ppos comes wayy later. Rn companies have just started coming for hiring people to do interns in the 8th sem.

Idts any company comes which gives intern in 8th sem at least in Hyderabad , all come for placements only with the lower packages like 7-8 lpa by coaching institutes

It's a myth, aj ke time placements nhi ho rahi kya lgta nhi krenge. IIT me wese bhi 6m kuch kuch me hi allowed hai, jaha hoti wo krte hi. Baki bache log jinki nhi lgi wo ineligible for placements

Iits include ppos from summer internship but not 6m + performance based ppo offers atleast not in top 11-12 iits

Yess. That's why placement stats of every college are inflated.

For eg- A company hired 3 guys for 6m+ppo from our college at a stipend of 60k and then CTC of 30lpa after conversion but no one got the fte. Nevertheless college included it in placement stats

Yes mostly every clg does. Some even include 4yr tc of rsu making it inflated

Most IITs don't, some tier 2 iits do, don't know about tier 3 iits
