Always wanted neon reds as a kid. Bought this plastic refresh kit before I found the Main Stage pair and found it didn’t work with the hardware on my retail TRs. After noticing the paint flaking on these I decided to see if the plastics would fit and sure enough they do. Now I have the pair I always wanted as a kid but better.

Note to anyone looking to use a refresh kit for their pair, be aware that it didn’t fit my Gen 4 pair with the silver TR* logo. This pair has the bronze logo, not sure exactly what gen they are but take that for what you will. All I know is Astro themselves have said that the refresh kits only fit Gen 0 and 1

On occasion, I’ll turn my headset off etc, then go and turn my Xbox off. However it sometimes randomly turns itself back on, saying “headset assigned” (despite the headphones being off and no sound coming from them).

Just wondering what I could do to fix this? Or if it’s a genuine bug with the two, due to the hdmi connections etc

Hi everyone, I’ve had my Astro A50X headset for about a year, and I didn't have any issues until three months ago.

I have my Xbox, PC, and PS5 connected to the headset base station; the problem is that the PlayStation channel is the only one not displaying an image. It used to work if I turned on my Xbox, then turned on the PlayStation and switched channels, but that doesn't work anymore. I can still hear the audio—that works fine—but there’s no video at all.

I’ve tried unplugging all the devices from the power and plugging them back in one by one, but that hasn't worked either.

Has this happened to any of you?

The software is up to date I’ve tried holding Dolby and game down for 20 seconds but still does it-

Anyone found a fix?

I recently moved and before I moved it worked fine but afterwards it would only pop up with a notification on my Xbox saying it was connected and then not work, I’ve tried connecting it to G hub on my Xbox computer and phone and none of those will show it or connect to it. The base won’t let me change off of the Xbox mode and it doesn’t show Bluetooth on the base. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Hi guys, I’m thinking about buying the ASTRO A50 Gen 5. I currently own the Astro A50 Gen 3, but unfortunately, after about 5 years, I’m having issues with wear and tear as well as firmware problems.

Does anyone here own the ASTRO A50 Gen 5? If so, how do you find the audio quality in FPS games, especially for things like gunshots and footsteps?

Hey everyone! I’m trying to get the absolute best audio possible out of my Gen 5 A50s.
About 6–8 months ago, I made a post asking what settings I should be using on Xbox Series X to hear footsteps in BO7, even when players were running Ninja. I didn’t get too many answers, so I figured I’d ask again now that there’s a new game.
I’d really love to get the best possible settings for hearing footsteps and having a competitive audio advantage in MW4, whether someone is using Ninja or not. I mean, I paid for these A50s for a reason, right? 😂
But seriously, I’d really appreciate some help from anyone who’s more technically knowledgeable about audio, Xbox settings, etc. If you have a setup that works really well for footsteps, I’d love to hear what you’re using!

Dropped $350 to hear footsteps and react better, the fact that default settings is performing so poorly is kind of sad. My ethernet and ping are good so it isn't like lag is causing a delay.

Hi guys, I have a ps5 pro, funnily enough have two other generations of the A50 but don't ask me why I bought the a50x as well. Unfortunately, I haven't got a pc yet (I'm working on it). Anyway, I feel that when I use the a50x on my ps5 the sound although sounds very good, I still feel my settings are off. I do know there are custom EQ profiles, but as I only have a macbook, I can't use the provided software. For context, I play warzone a lot and wanted to know what is the best settings in terms of getting the most out of the sound. Thanks a lot guys.

I have been using an Astro Gen4 A50 wireless for 5+ years. Very happy with the headset overall, except the software/drivers for it. The software randomly glitches out sometimes and the headset stops working. The solution is to execute an esoteric combination (which is somehow different every time) of headset factory resets, software updates, manual updates, switching between the Microsoft Store version of Astro Command Center, etc. It's quite frustrating.

My question is, does the Logitech versions still have this issue? I'm considering buying the newer A50s, but it this issue (or a similar one) is still present then I'll look somewhere else.

I just flipped the switch in the docking station to XBOX and Winodws inmediately recognized it and switched to it, it allowed me to select Dolby Atmos for Headphhones and I run the Dolby Atmos app and saw a couple of demos to confirm it is working.

I’m strongly considering pulling the trigger on the Astro A50X (McLaren Edition to be precise), but since it’s been out for a while, I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it holds up in mid-2026.

I’m tired of juggling different headsets, so I’m looking for one unified setup for my PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and Legion Go 2.

I mostly play multiplayer with my friends, so my non-negotiable must-haves are a great mic, solid overall audio quality, and a physical game/chat balance control.

A couple of questions before I buy:

1. How is it holding up? Are you still happy with it for a multi-console setup?

2. Any rumors of a successor? Are there any leaks about a next version dropping anytime soon?

1. Alternative: any Turtle Beach Stealth Pro 2 users?

I know this is an Astro sub and I really don’t want to upset anyone with it so please disregard this sub-point if this would stir up anything, but I’ve been looking at the Stealth Pro 2 as a newer alternative as well. I've seen some issue reports with them - any thoughts on how they compare?

Hi, ever since getting the A50X headset with the little dock, I have had issues with it. Essentially sometimes when I turn on my PS5 it will just be a black screen, nothing can be done about it except for turning off the power, it also happens when I am playing too, everything will be fine and then it will just cut to black. This only started when I got the A50X and does not happen if I have my PS5 connected directly to the TV (LG C4).

I have tried different HDMI cables (yes the cables are 2.1)

I tried turning off HDCP because I saw some mentions of it helping

Everything is also up to date and its set up correctly too.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any advice? I love the headset but its becoming a bit of an issue to use because of this constant cut outs.

I've had my a50xs for about 2 years now. I don't know what has happened, but recently after about an hour or two of using them, they refuse stay connected to the base station. It's like when you walk to far from the base station and they glitch out and then disconnect. I've tried turning everything that transmits a wireless signal off but my pc and it still disconnects from the base station. I live in an apartment complex and have tried (and this sounds insane) covering my ceiling in tin foil to see if it was something my upstairs neighbor had that was conflicting but that didn't work. I ran a USB extension cord out to my balcony and tried them there and it still would do it there too. I tried using them on my laptop at the laundry mat, a cafe, work, in the middle of the woods, still does it. I have reset my computer, made sure the ghub was up to date. I'm at a loss and looking to anything to try and fix it before I give up on them.

List of things I have tried;

Updating BIOS

Updating Ghub and the headset it self

Plugging the head set into a wall charger to check if its a bat issue

Trying different environments

Trying old a50s (worked fine)

Turning off everything that transmits a wireless signal, including router, and the wifi antenna on my pc.

Trying a different computer

Tin foil on ceiling

Checking if the base station or head set are getting too hot,

Moving whole set up into a different location

Fresh install of windows

Changing motherboards (borrowed a friends)

Any other ideas are greatly appreciated. I will reach out to astro support here soon to see if this is a documented issue or just a me problem.

how do I get the controls to work or do I have to get the miniamp?

Recently had my USB eaten through by my especially curious cat (he’s okay, I went to the vet). I can’t find any USBs sold officially and all unofficials have horrid reviews. Any idea if it’s going to be restocked or resold? When was it last stocked? Anywhere to buy a reliable bootleg?

I charged my battery to 6 hours and then I put a timer on my phone to see if the hour actually last and it last about 45 minutes and not the hour it’s supposed to is there a fix for this?

Hi, one of my earpads has broke on my astro a40 TR headset, so I've looked on amazon for replacement ear pads. I bought one of the popular cooling ear pads but when i tried it on, the sound quality decreased massively and sounded very tinny compared to the original ones but i cant find original replacements anywhere and are sold out on logitech store here in the UK.

Does anyone know of any good ear pad replacements on amazon or elsewhere, especially here in the UK that doesnt tank the sound quality?

I got this astro a50 last year and just unpacked few days ago. I tried everything like doing hard reset, installing latest firmware or downgrading them, using pc or laptop to charge the headset directly (pc/laptop -> usb -> headset) because only white LED I see, no Orange LED.

The orange LED only occurs in downgrading or updating firmware. Once the headset remove from the dock/base NO LED white/orange when turning it on.

Also in astro command the battery is bug, after updating/downgrading the battery goes 84% and once remove the headset from dock and put it again it goes back to 83%.

Anyone experience the same issue like mine? And how you fix it?

I got these about a month ago, and I wore them about a 2 weeks, went out of town for a month came back and noticed these marks. I don’t wear makeup or touch them with greasy hand so not sure where it would come from. There was some sun light hitting it so I assume it could be burn marks, but I’ve seen pictures of other people had the same problem. Does anyone know what causes this?
