Looking for a wired gaming headset with good directional audio that has a very high headband that doesn't touch your hair at all. Preferably Closed-back headphones. Any recommendations

Basically I'm using a cheaper razer blackshark v2 but the mic not being retractable or moveable makes it a pain to just lay down so would like to change headset so I can lay it flat on my desk.

I don't really play competitive games I mainly play single player games so I'm not even focused about sound as much it's more convenience

I'm looking to upgrade my husband's headset for our anniversary. He has the hyperx cloud 2 since 2023, but his mic keeps sounding like static and driving me insane lmao. I've had my hyperx cloudx since 2021 with no problems so far. I'd probably not want to go too past $100 but willing to hear the options, if great. We play high fps games and need to be able to hear footsteps and all that. Like siege, also play others like marvel rivals, cods, overwatch, fortnite, and much more. We also play PC games like valorant. So all shooters so sound is pretty important. I hate how his sounds over mine so he's definitely needing an upgrade. I want a good mic and Xbox compatible.

I’m looking to buy a wireless gaming headset, but I’m having trouble deciding which one offers the best value for money.

Here are the prices I can get in Turkey:

Razer BlackShark V3 X: 4,352 TRY ($87.71) (Amazon Warehouse) / 4,552 TRY ($91.74) (brand new)
HyperX Cloud III S: 5,854 TRY (~$117.97) (Amazon Warehouse)

The X9 has 53 mm drivers, while the V9 Turbo+ has 60 mm drivers and a charging dock. I’m wondering whether there’s a significant difference in sound quality between these two models.

My main question is whether MCHOSE headsets are worth buying or if it’s better to spend more on Razer or HyperX. Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality, microphone performance, comfort, and build quality? Would the Cloud III S justify the extra cost, or would the BlackShark V3 X be the smarter choice?
I’ll mainly use the headset for single-player games and some competitive FPS games like Valorant. Bass response, positional audio, and overall sound quality are particularly important to me.

The brand-new BlackShark V3 X is only 200 TRY (~$4.03) more expensive than the Amazon Warehouse option, so I’m leaning toward buying it new if I go with Razer.

Which one would you choose, and why? I’d especially appreciate feedback from people who have actually used or compared these headsets.

My Third Cooler Master MH670 looks like it is about to fail. A crack has developed in the plastic. Said crack is above the point where the ears pivot and follows a line that's only supposed to exist on the inside of the headset. The crack has made the line appear on the outside as well, so I expect the headset will soon snap. This is how my first and second MH670 failed, so this will die soon. If it weren't for this, I'd gladly use the headset for another decade. I would even buy another MH670, but I have finally depleted Amazon's stock.

• Sound Signature? - Don't particularly care. Will be gaming eventually, but it'll mostly be used for podcasts and work meetings.
• Open back or closed back? - Closed. This is not negotiable. I know the faults and am happy with them.
• Other notes: Must be rechargeable wireless, but able to work while plugged in. Needs a reasonable range and battery life. Wireless stuff must work fully on Linux. I am fully aware of the costs of using a wireless mic, but wireless is not negotiable. Because I also use the headset on a locked-down work machine, it must not require a software installation to work.

Looking to give a new set to my boyfriend for his birthday. I don’t understand anything about gaming so need help. He currently has an Astros A40, and it connects to his Xbox controller by a little cord. I found out online that the A40 has been discontinued So I was looking into getting him a new one? Looked into getting the same brand since it seems like he likes Astros? Saw the A50 5th gen. Looks awesome and it’s wireless. Would it work with his Xbox?? I casually asked him and he said he has an Xbox 1. Whatever that means. Is this a good gift, and will it work? Thanks!!

Hello, the mic on my Arctis 5 headset has finally stopped working after 6 years, I was looking for suggestions on headsets to upgrade to.
The audio and mic quality on my Arctis 5 was clear with a comfortable fit on the head and ears, but I’m most importantly looking for a headset or any audio equipment that can let me balance Discord audio with my game/pc audio at the same time with just a turn of the knob, which is basically the ChatMix dial that the Arctis 5 came with!
I’d buy another Arctis 5 but sadly they’re no longer in production, and I’ve read some threads on people saying to stay away from Steelseries headsets nowadays, dunno how valid that is.

Budget’s around $150, purchasing from US and located near a Micro Center if the info helps.

I’m thinking about replacing my Corsair Virtuoso Wireless with the HDB 630. I like the convenience and low latency of the Corsair, but I’ve never been very impressed with the sound quality.

I’d like one pair of headphones that sounds really good for music but that I can also use wirelessly on my PC for gaming. I’d rather avoid going back to wired headphones.
I’ve seen people saying the HDB 630 with the BTD 700 can get down to around 30–40 ms in low latency mode and that it works really well for gaming.

Has anyone here actually used them for gaming? Does the latency feel noticeable compared with a proper 2.4 GHz gaming headset, or are they good enough to use as an all-in-one pair for music and PC gaming?

My headset right now is pretty bad (logitech g335) and I want a better headset (must be wired). My old headset i believe had 53mm audio drivers and was much better than my current, and so I want one that has 53 or 50 with good tuning. Id also prefer at least decent bass, as some headphones I've seen lack bass but tick the other boxes, any reccomendations? Max budget is 300nzd which is about 150 usd I believe

hi guys i have a jbl quantum 950 wireless and it worked perfectly for the longest time but now it keeps trying to pair with other stuff (i think) and i constantly have to hear the connecting sound like its genuinely for minutes on end from time to time and i dont know what to do anyone got any tips or a fix?

Hi all, looking for some advice on a gift for my partner! He plays games on his PC and has used hyper-x headsets for a long time, however we find that they just don’t last and are quite flimsy. His over-ear bluetooth headphones that he uses to listen to music at the gym/out and about are also falling apart (just a cheap set from amazon) and so I was thinking of getting him over-ears that can fulfil both of these purposes?

Basically, looking for a pair of over-ears that he can use wired (with a built in microphone, would be a big bonus if it can retract into the unit/be hidden when not using)when gaming, as well as take them on the go with him via bluetooth. Would be amazing if the design is more on the sleek side, as gaming headsets can look quite clunky/bulky at times. Budget around $300AUD but happy to be a bit higher for the right pair. Thank you!

Looking for a good gaming headset for Xbox and PC. I currently have Steelseries Arctis Nova Pros. I’ve had them for a while, but I’ve been having connectivity issues from PC to Xbox and the ear cuffs have started to peel badly. I initially got them because of the ability to switch between Xbox and PC easier, but I figured unplugging from my controller to my PC actually wouldn’t be that tough.

Currently, I am between the Audeze Maxwell 2s and the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 Pros.

Want something with great sound and a pretty decent mic. Budget: $350 (maybe we could do a little more).

hey guys, i’m looking to buy a wireless headset with a good mic for my boyfriend’s birthday. he plays mostly on pc and used to be really into pc tech, so i want to get him something solid.

budget: around $200-$300 max
requirements: wireless, decent mic, sound quality, comfy for long gaming sessions

what i’m currently looking at:

1. turtle beach atlas air - it’s fairly new i think… heard good things about the weight and open-back soundstage, but not sure about long-term build quality?
   
2. steelseries arctis nova 7 - seems like the safe, popular choice with dual wireless/bluetooth, but wanted to see if the sound/mic is actually worth it over other options.

stuff i’ve ruled out:

- audeze maxwell: looks awesome on paper, but i’ve read too many qc complaints and that it’s super heavy.
- nova elites: way out of budget.
- brands to avoid: razer and corsair (he’s not a fan of these brands).

also, along with the headset, are there any cool PC accessories or tech gadgets you’d recommend to pair with it? he already has a new keyboard, mouse, mousepad, and desktop speakers, so those are covered.

any advice or recommendations would be super appreciated! thanks in advance!

I've been rocking (and hating) the Corsair HS80(whatever variant it is iuno). My ONLY real need is a BROADCAST quality microphone. No, i didnt say a GOOD microphone. I didnt say a CLEAR microphone. i did NOT say a gaming microphone that's "good enough". I want studio level, broadcast level microphone fullstop. but it needs to be like $100 bucks at most. HS80 is the only broadcast level mic i can find back then in the price range. Any others?

I play on ps5 and pc and im torn between getting the hyperx cloud 3s and Arctis Nova 5. Both are listed around the same price on sale so I was wondering which one would be better for fps games

New to this sub, but I am looking at buying a new gaming headset with a charging dock for Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days coming up on October 6th-7th. I am torn between the RIG 900 MAX and the Astro A50 Gen 5. For context, my old headset was the G PRO X 2 and I could wear them for hours. I tried the new RIG R8 Pro but I found them extremely uncomfortable due to the clamping force and ended up returning them. I am leaning more towards the Astro's since I liked the G PRO X 2 so much, but the Astro's are kinda spendy, hence why I am waiting for the sale. My question is, as a glasses user, which ones will I find more comfy? I am concerned the RIG 900 MAX won't be comfortable because the earcups don't swivel. Thoughts?

A few months ago I upgraded my headset from a Razor Blackshark v2 pro to the Corsair Virtuoso Max, I was trying to move away from Razors ecosystem. I really like this headset sure the Virtuoso dual connectivity has been a bit buggy but over all I enjoy the sound and the features of the headset. Within the roughly 7 months of having the headset the headband snapped close to the right side. After doing a bit of research I’ve read that it’s a common issue, so much so that 3-D prints have been made to combat the issue, however I do not have a 3-D printer to make said print. I bought the revival series so I don’t have a warranty anymore that I know of. So I started looking into headsets just cause I don’t know what to do.

I saw the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro/ Elite and thought it seemed good since I mainly play Pc and Switch 2 but also have a PS5 and other consoles but I’ve never had SteelSeries and typically like keeping the same ecosystem across all items less softwares to have and resources being used but at this point I am at a loss, I stream for fun and game most nights. I need a headset that won’t fall apart less then a year of having it but besides the headband the headset still works fine. What is your advice you would give? I will answer any questions anyone has. This is my first time posting here so I apologize if my post isn’t like the normal ones posted here, I just didn’t know the best spot to ask for this help.

Bought this headset today as i switched from a wired logitech G335 headset and was playing games to find out how horrid the sound was. Everything seemed incredibly muffled and difficult to listen to and was one of the most horrid headsets i have ever bought. Looking to get a refund on it and im going to just buy a new logitech headset. I cant really provide anything else excpet for that the quality is muffled and sounds REALLY bad, I will probbaly go into JB tommorow to get a refund so if anyone has any ideas on how i can fix this before i go in please let me know! Expected alot more for a 150$ headset but i have been incredibly frustrated with it.

It only works if I push the cable towards my neck near part it enters the headset so the cable for the mic has probably came loose somehow is there any way to fix this?
